This is the second week! Its the ski-ing holiday, though why anyone would want to spend a week paying for freezing one's ass off I have no idea.

I am looking at the synopsis for the blondes, I think I need to re-write it, its too short and doesn't give enough details of the story.

I have got as far as Chris (Arabella's bit of rough) farmer boyfriend sending her flowers for her birthday and getting ready to spend a weekend at Daddy's stately pile for the party that will change Arabella's life forever and bring Sammi and Erika into the story.

I have a growing list of characters, including Nigel and Serena and Daniel's long lost brother Stefan, the con artist.

Still no news from Pegasus, I hope that means I have a second book ready for publishing!

The first is 'being formatted' that was as of a week ago I will give them a couple of weeks and then bug them again!

Did you decide to publish your poetry?

message 1004: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I will do it, but I think I will look around a bit more. I already have my one that I self published.

Are you writing anything at the moment or are you like me a little stuck! No that's not quite right I'm not stuck just being hindered.

Sophie goes back to school next Monday and Alain has just announced he is taking next week as a holiday. Then again on the 19th for the week which means I will be on restaurant duty for two weeks.

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Oh dear. I am still writing poems and attempting to finish my first novel, the diary about the girl who is bullied.

I am being gullied as I type, I can't concentrate on writing with stupid kids programmes in one ear. I give in there was I thinking I could get down to some writing next week only to be informed I am head cook and bottle washer.

The week after Sophie is in Normandy and Alain should be at work maybe then I will be able to write in peace. If I leave the blinds closed nobody will arrive to interrupt me until lunchtime!

The sequel to the first book, Almost Perfect and an idea for a whodunnit based on a suspicious death two years ago. I also have an idea for a story based on the man who killed his entire family and buried them in quick lime under the patio and then disappeared off the face of the earth!

I just struck a deal with Sophie, Ice Age 3 in return for peace - I bought it for just such an occasion last week!

All I have to do now is get to work!

message 1013: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) LOL - I take it, she took you up on the offer.

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "LOL - I take it, she took you up on the offer."

Yep, I have a sneaky suspicion she has manipulated me into giving her the film!

I can watch it next week with the other big kid - He watched the other two and howled with laughter, he likes Sid the Sloth and Manny the mammoth and Gloria! his girlfriend!

message 1015: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I have not seen 3 yest myself, at least I don't think I have. My other halfs favourite cartoon film is the Aristocats. We all watched it the other week, the following few days he phones me from home at work and I can hear it on again in the background!

Me neither its the dinosaur one, I have only seen the Aristocats in French. I get to watch everything in French first, trouble is films lose so much in the translation.

Dr House tonight in English, I have set the television to English so if the programme is made in English and it is the English language version they are dubbing I get the original soundtrack!

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) It is getting chilly here as well now :o( But hopefully soon it will be warmer

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "It is getting chilly here as well now :o( But hopefully soon it will be warmer"

They say we should have warmer weather by the end of the month and as soon as it gets warm they'll be complaining about the lack of rain and water shortages!

We can't win, apparently snow isn't the 'right kind' of water! I always thought snow was purer water than the stuff that falls from the sky normally because of being frozen!

message 1021: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) We have already had on the news today that there will possibly be a drought so tehre will be another hosepipe ban this year! It is so stupid.

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "We have already had on the news today that there will possibly be a drought so tehre will be another hosepipe ban this year! It is so stupid."

Yep they have been wasting the resources for years and instead of whingeing about it they should get on and build de-salination plants to take up the slack. There are oceans full of the stuff. Jersey is an island without rivers or reservoirs - all their water is taken from the sea and I dare bet they never have a hosepipe ban!

message 1023: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Hmmm I might have to move to Jersey - lol

message 1024: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "Hmmm I might have to move to Jersey - lol"

There you might hit a snag, you need loads a money in the bank Frank, or to marry a Jersey man - who may or may not be a pullover!

That is what you call woolly humour!

message 1025: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Damn it. I had better stay put in Essex then, with my monster - lol

message 1026: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "Damn it. I had better stay put in Essex then, with my monster - lol"

Yes I would if I were you for the time being at least, maybe you and monster can move to Jersey when like me you become a best selling novelist!

We can all dream, my dream is a chateau surrounded by my own vineyard!

At least I am in the right country so that's a start!

message 1027: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Sounds like heaven to me, and yes I will start dreaming, I suppose it is all I have. I suppose I can be a famous poet and start doing live readings in coffee shops - LOL

Dreams are nothing more than wishes and wish is just a dream come true!

I am going to send you the new version of the synopsis for the blondes see what you think. Speak to you tomorrow.

Sorry, its an age thing, and I know you are probbly sick of adults teling you when you're older you'll understand, but it's true.

If it's any consolation we don't understand the Sonic thing, well I don't for me it's a character from a computer game from the 80's!

message 1031: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Hi Sharon

Did you get a chance to look at the synopsis? I have a few more changes in mind, it's still too bland needs a bit of oomph!!!

I have a surprise for Chris, Arabella's farmer boyfriend as she becomes poor he becomes rich, but where did the money come from and why now?

message 1032: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Hiya,

I like that added extra. In all honesty I have not read it yet, been so busy here. Will read it in a very short while.

It's okay, when you get a minute you have to work too, I have been dragging my heels with the blondes since I finished the serial killer. I think I needed to re-charge the old batteries, that book drained me, I just hope it pays off!

I have been finishing my embroidery, a tablecloth for xmas (I started it 2 years ago) and finished it two weeks ago and then I started a cushion cover for Sophie with horses on it, I have almost finished the foal just the legs and tail to finish I have done the head of the mother horse too.

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "I just wish I had some extra time, even with the insomnia, I have still had no inspiration :o("

You're still suffering with the insomnia, did you look at the vitamin site yet, they have remedies to help you gain a relaxing nights sleep.

Try embroidery it is very relaxing, I don't like doing flowers much I prefer to pick a picture from a book, trace the design go over the tracing with a transfer pencil or print it onto transfer paper when you have a complex design that is the best idea because you get the colours to follow too.

I did a duvet cover with a Winnie the Pooh story - the cover tells the story in brief, I started with Winne walking in the snow and heading for the house of Christopher Robin, then him talking to Christopher Robin in front of a blazing log fire and a Christmas tree then the story moves to Tigga asleep in his bed with Winnie pooh hanging up tigga's christmas stocking the last corner has Winnie Pooh asleep in his arm chair. The piece de resistance is the middle of the quilt is a double page spread of all the characters who have come with their sock presents to the house of Pooh to say thank you!

It took me ages, I started it when Jo was 17 and finished it eventually when she was 19. I could have finished it for her 18th birthday if I hadn't started writing!

message 1036: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) That sounds lovely, do you have a picture of it? Pooh is my favourite

message 1037: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "That sounds lovely, do you have a picture of it? Pooh is my favourite"

I can take one it's on Sophie's bed now, Jo gave it to Sophie when she was little because with Herve being a duvet hog she had to buy a King size quilt and the one I did was only a double!

I certainly takes some doing but I have had offers to buy it in the hundreds, but I won't part with it. I did Noddy in his little car on a pair of jeans for Leon, Jo thought I bought them like it! I put my little poney on another pair for Sophie!

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I did use to do cross stitch a while ago but I stopped and have not done any for a long time now.

message 1039: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "I did use to do cross stitch a while ago but I stopped and have not done any for a long time now."

I used to do cross stitch when I was little but I prefer freestyle embroidery, with french knots, stem stitch, etc.,I started young I used to work with my Grandma from the age of 5 ish. She taught me to knit, crochet, rug making, rag rugs, embroidery, making silk flowers, making crepe paper flowers!

At 7 I used to design and make my barbie clothes on a little hand machine!

message 1040: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) How cool. I used to cut up old curtains and and make little clothes for barbies (hand stitched) and pencil cases.

I made handbags out of corduroy I found at my grandma's and sold them to my friends at school! I once crocheted a load of berets and scarves and sold them too, I used to go to the cinema and sit and crochet in the dark whilst watching the film!

message 1042: by Sharon (new)

Easy you only have one stitch on the hook at a time with crochet! You can do it with your eyes shut! I am sending you a picture of one of the motives on the tablecloth!

They are easy to do you just have to sew close and neat. The house that the family was murdered in has been put on the market - I can feel a story coming on!

message 1048: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) How would really want to buy it after hearing the news?

message 1049: by Sarah (last edited Feb 22, 2012 06:47AM) (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "How would really want to buy it after hearing the news?"

Not me, not if I knew 5 people and two dogs had been murdered and then buried in the back garden that's for sure. I have enough problems living in a house and not knowing the ghosts I inherited!

Title ideas, Dead Ringer - reason will be apparent when you read the synopsis.

Garden of the Dead, Rest in Peace House of Doom - any ideas?
I have mapped out an outline I will now go off and create a synopsis and send it to you later. I have a feeling this is going to give me the cold shivers but at least I have first hand knowledge of the events!

message 1050: by Sharon (last edited Feb 22, 2012 07:03AM) (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Cool, I love a good ghost story and if I am honest you will certainly do it justice.
