Sharon wrote: "What cake are you making for Sophie?"Not sure yet, I'm looking for inspiration she likes horses, princesses, castles and girly stuff! I will go online and see what other people have concocted and then decide what to make.
I may save the sand castle cake for Sophie and make something else for her friend. Teddy Bears picnic cake maybe or a pink castle like Sophie had last year!
I have half an hour to finish the cake so I'd better get cracking, all that's left to do is assemble the cakes and stick the coins on to the top of the sack and drop them at random on top of the notes!

My boyfriend and I do not recognize valentine's day so not plans. He probably will get me a cad-bury egg just because they are my favorites and are only sold then, Christmas and Easter.
All done, ready and waiting to be picked up, I deserve a nice glass of wine now.The lady has just picked it up and was over the moon with the cake, she will probably show it to all and sundry and I will be inundated with orders for the money cake!

No, some people do tend to go a little OTT I am buying my man a DVD, it's a film recently released called le Guerre des Boutons - translated The war of the Buttons here in France there are the public schools and the private Catholic schools and it is the rivalry between these schools that inspired the film.
My man starred in a theatrical production of the film when he was in his teens as he tells me every time he sees the advert. I can't get a DVD of his version so this is the next best thing.
A small token of my love, just like your cream egg!

Nice :)
Sharon wrote: "Bye Irene"Sorry busy day, I made the second birthday cake of the week this afternoon. If my machine allows me to put the photo into my album I will put it on my photos. I haven't managed to get to speak to my son yet to repair the drivers.
Sand castle cake today for Sophie's best friend, it looks pretty cool even though I do say so myself. I will be stuck next week, no one I know has a birthday!
The next birthday is Sophie on the 12th March and she is on holiday in Normandy with school so I will be making lots of cupcakes for all the children on the bus!
I will be making her a birthday cake for the Saturday after - not sure what yet though.

Sharon wrote: "Yeah I am here. You ok?"Yeah, I'm fine been shopping this morning with Alain's mum, her daughter normally takes her but she is ill. She was operated on for cancer of the colon in January and it isn't looking good. She has to have Chemo as soon as she is strong enough, I went online and found all sorts of oils and supplements that aid the prevention and cure of cancer when taken in conjunction with the chemo. Black Cumin seed, omega 3 selenium grape seed extract vitamin E Clary Sage oil orangic ginger root to name but a few. All natural products that aid your body to fight back all I need to do now is convince her she can fight it, because if she doesn't believe she can win there is nothing anyone can do to help.
Did you look at the blurb on the Argan Oil?
Sharon wrote: "That is sad :(Yes I did thanks, looks like I will have to invest in some of that."
Yeah life sucks, we have never been friendly as such but she is Alain's sister and it is hurting his mum not being able to do anything to help. Which in turn affects Alain.
I am glad I invested in it it really is worth its weight in Gold! The effects are instant with your skin and hair I went online and order some stronger capsules than I bought in the supermarket and a small bottle of oil and some black cumin seed capsules according to the blurb they cure everything but death!
My skin is a little dry on my legs/shins as well even though I use moisturiser. Is it like Evening oil of primrose except it does more jobs - lol

I'm sorry, just get her to hang in there and she will beat it. It will back down if you show it who's boss and that you do plan on beating it. Good luck to her, she will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Sharon wrote: "My skin is a little dry on my legs/shins as well even though I use moisturiser. My back was dry too and it isn't easy to put moisturiser on your back! It appears to have munched the cellulite too!

Thanks Irene, I think she needs all the help she can get, we need to lift her spirit first and prove to her it is possible to fight back and win! I wish the internet had been around when my mum was diagnosed I would have travelled to the ends of the earth to find something that would have helped her to beat it!
I will send you a friends request to the place I found my stuff, that way you will get a voucher for 10 Euros and me too if you order!
Sarah R wrote: "Irene wrote: "Sarah R wrote: "Sharon wrote: "Yeah I am here. You ok?"Yeah, I'm fine been shopping this morning with Alain's mum, her daughter normally takes her but she is ill. She was operated..."
Make her smile and laugh, I volunteer at the oncology wing sometimes and it seems to help when you can make them laugh and then they sorta realize they can do this. Yes, the internet is a beautiful thing.
Sharon wrote: "Cool, that sounds great thanks."Done it you should get a welcome email from Kraeuterhaus.de don't worry it's in English too!
Irene wrote: "Sarah R wrote: "Irene wrote: "Sarah R wrote: "Sharon wrote: "Yeah I am here. You ok?"Yeah, I'm fine been shopping this morning with Alain's mum, her daughter normally takes her but she is ill. ..."
Yes I will make her a get well cake, she needs feeding up though I think soup would be better with lots of healthy veg and spices in, do you know that curry powder probably cures more illness unknowingly than conventional medecines! It has ginger, turmeric and cumin, fenugreek, chilli, cinnamon to name but a few! All these spices are good for you, I think we should all spice up our eating plan for the good of our health!
Lol I suppose that makes me a 'spice girl'!!
Sarah R wrote: "Irene wrote: "Sarah R wrote: "Irene wrote: "Sarah R wrote: "Sharon wrote: "Yeah I am here. You ok?"Yeah, I'm fine been shopping this morning with Alain's mum, her daughter normally takes her but..."
Yep, and if the chemo makes her nauseous soups are good because they go down easily (according to my bf)

Organic ginger root would be good too, ginger is good for settling the stomach.

Wouldn't know, my bf is mildly allergic to ground Ginger.

Then best to stay clear of it and stick to peppermint tea!

Yep, that and camomile tea and sugarless Smoothies (not sugar free, real fruit without sugar added).
Morning the sun is shining, the sky is blue the birds are chirruping in the trees, spring is in the air. Not that we had any snow here but its nice to see the return of the sunshine! How is it with you Sharon?
It is quite like that here today which makes a change and when I left work last night it was still pretty light out.
Sharon wrote: "It is quite like that here today which makes a change and when I left work last night it was still pretty light out."That's the nice part, not going home and arriving at work in the dark!
Lol not that I go to work as such, I just poddle about and do whatever I actually feel like, and if that is sweet FA that is what I do. Usually that is, roll on next monday when Sophie is back at school and then I might be able to get back into the blondes.
If Sophie isn't on holiday Alain is and that means no time to myself at all, cooking for all and sundry for lunch and supper, I no sooner get one mess cleaned up than I have to start again.
I wish I could click my fingers and everything would appear as if by magic!!
