Hi all, I hope you had a good Easter. It was my birthday yesterday. Yes I am an April fool. Phil bought me a metal detector. Obviously I intend to find an Anglo Saxon horde and become rich. I will settle for a pot of Roman coins or any kind of treasure. So far I have been detecting on Dartmoor and have found a pound coin, an old thrupence, some kind of hook and a piece of rusty machinary. It might be a while before i get that fortune.

I'm going on Amazon in a minute I need new duvet covers for the red room! I saw a perfect one yesterday, with a Geisha, fan and in red, grey and black trouble was it was for a double quilt and all my quilts are king sized, and it was expensive and French pillowcases are square not oblong!

We have Noz, which is wonderful and Max Plus which sometimes has bargains like electric stainless steel ovens for 160 Euros! I can live in hope! And Foirefouille, Centrakor and Giffi! They all sell cheap stuff!

I can't concentrate on reading at the moment, I have loads of Kindles for review but neither the time or the inclination to read! Bad that, cos I love reading.
Just think when everything is done in the new house, you can sit, relax and read or write. It will all be worth it.
No. I have another friend who lives in Spain, but her friend lives in Kent and is interested in joining.Did you get the Newsletter. (Next one will be better) ;o)
I did. Can't see it properly on my phone though. I'll get on to the laptop at some point today.Did you hear from the 18 year old?
I emailed her, but not heard anything yet. I will give it a while, Easter holiday's! She may be away.
Sun is shinning at last. I haven't done too much writing lately as I was away over Easter and will be going away again at the end of the month. I like to have a clear run as it is hard being in two worlds at once. I can imagine Sarah in her lovely new home, relaxing, reading and writing. It looks like the ideal place for an author. It is my friends birthday today so I must go out in a minute and get her a card. Enjoy the sun whilst it is here. We will all have plenty of time to write when the rain comes.

HA Ha... is he in for a shock, he has done a temporary repair to the plug only took him 2 hours, he is condeming the wiring for the house and informing EDF! And just to make sure EDF do get informed I will send them a letter to the same effect when I send in my final readings! I'm still waiting for him to send someone round to repair the roof, I'll make sure they inspect the woodwork because I found signs of death watch beetle in the garage!
It's high time the tight a***d git put his hand in his pocket and spent some money, and a new roof and electricity make for an excellent start!

I am having difficulty imagining relaxation of any kind at the moment, I have to paint the last wall in the lounge this afternoon and tomorrow I'm on cupboard assembly!
Perhaps when you leave he should smash the house down and start again. Do they have health and safety in France?
I know things are very difficult for you at the moment but I do believe you get what you give in life, so you are due a hell of a lot back. Keep the faith, everything will come good.
Tarian wrote: "Perhaps when you leave he should smash the house down and start again. Do they have health and safety in France?"Don't know, but if I get the reports and then go to the mayor he won't be allowed to rent it out until the work is completed to the proper standards.

So at the very least he will have to have them removed and I hope with that they will play safe and at least give him radiation therapy. I am going to ask them to do a full body scan if they don't suggest one.
Sharon wrote: "Fingers will be kept crossed Sarah."Thanks, it is appreciated, Jo is worried too she said if we need her this weekend she will come back without the monkeys and stay as long as is needed.

Have fun
Sharon wrote: "You do realise that leaves it wide open ;o) lol"Yep! Absolutely, well, you're an awful long time dead so you may as well cram as much excitement as you can handle in one go into your life whilst you still have the capacity to enjoy it. And on that note I'll pick up my paint brush and scram... What an exciting time me and this guy are going to have....
Sharon wrote: "LOL.I am trying to finish my story for the anthology. Looks like it may happen today ;o)"
The only thing I've written recently is my name and address, ooh and a letter giving notice to my landlord and it's not likely to change for the next few weeks either.
Oh well, break a nib - finish your story and then get it off to the editor. Lol, I would even relish having the time to go through the revisions on The Menorah Murders, that's how fed up of painting I am!
Sharon wrote: "That unfortunately can't be helped."Yes I know, I will laugh about it in a month or two! Alain's gone to bed, he's k*******d another worrying factor. Oh well he is on holiday from this Friday for 2 weeks, and Sophie is away for the week too, so we will have some us time at least. Talk to you tomorrow.
Trisha, the story you emailed me, is that the finished product for the anthology ready to be edited?
Sharon wrote: "Trisha, the story you emailed me, is that the finished product for the anthology ready to be edited?"Yes it is
Is it not long enough?
HiyaWhat you up to today? I have been in training all morning, now I am just looking out the window at the snow. Stories on their way in the next hour ;o)
Well, my oldest wasn't well last night so I went to bed at about 4:30 and then got up at 7:30 lol.Been watching films all day. On Cars now. Hope to get some writing done in a bit though.
At least you are not out in this dreadful weather.Have had 3 entries in for the competition already. Not too bad.
