I almost finished the bathroom, with the silver on pink! It looks amazing, I thought it was finished but Alain wants me to stencil the leaves around the window too! I then have to touch up the bathroom ceiling and the door frame and then I can sign that one room off as finished!
It snowed here yesterday afternoon, a white out blizzard, and it was snowing lightly when Sophie went to school at just before 8 and it is bitterly cold. I have to go into town to pick sweets and cakes up for Sophie, it's her birthday today-11 years old. I am going to buy her a radio cd player for her new room too!
Tony wrote: "I don't want to go to work grrrr!"Morning Tony, I can understand that. I'm glad I don't have to!
Morning EvaHow's the little one this morning? Poor little sausage, does she like soup? If so make some if you have the time, put lots of veggies in there, that's what makes my big girl better. Mum's soup! Jo swears by my potato and leek when she's ill-lol now I live 200 odd kms away she has to make it herself!
Fifty Shades of Grey author is going to publish a journal of writing tips for us aspiring writers-that should be interesting, seeing as how her writing was slammed by most of the critics!I think I'll scrape by on my own, thank you very much! Fame really does go to some folks heads!
Tony wrote: "Maybe so but she must have done something right. Think I might have to write a story about boobies!"Lol I already started mine, but will the publishers want another Fifty shades so soon after the first one?
You know how fickle they can be! Just how do you figure out what to write, and when is the best time to release 'your best seller'? That would be the best tip anyone could offer!
Sharon wrote: "Morning all, Goodreads was down all day yesterday.
Happy Birthday to Sophie."
That explains why I couldn't get on then! Mind I was at the house until 6 ish!
Thank you! I'll be sure to pass on your good wishes to her tonight. I got her radio/cd/mp3/usb and a pair of headphones! Then she can listen to it in peace, and so can we! We have her favourite cake too, Black Forest Gateaux!
Tony wrote: "Ooo, I missed that.Happy Birthday Sophie!
Sharon, did you manage to have a read?"
Thanks Tony I will pass the birthday wishes on to the birthday girl this evening!
Hmm how lovely.@ Tony: it gives me the impression that it is a prequal to a novel, which is not a bad thing. It leaves you asking questions as to what is to become of Ryan? Very dark, just how I like them.

Lol maybe you could use the short story as a basis for your synopsis, time to ask yourself what happens next....
I have a short story, ready to roll, I'd forgotten about it, The ghosts of Monks Reach I might submit that at least then I will have contributed something! Do you want to take a look at it Sharon?
Yes sure. You know me. Think we are going to have a slightly thicker book then last time. Everyone is well away with their writing. i am most impressed. Even the 13yr old who will be joining the writing group has started on her short story.

There is another one somewhere in my lists too which may be more suited to a summer book but I can't remember what I called it, or if it was finished or part way! I'll have a shufty through the lists and see if I can find it!
Finished it. I think it is great but it is set around Halloween. Maybe you could change it to the Summer Solstice (where there is also magic and ghosts etc) Just a suggestion.

It's called marital bliss, and I think it stems from one of my sisters relationships that went wrong. That's why I was angry, at the w****r that dumped her for no reason after promising the sun and moon on a stick!

Try not to worry Eva, she is in the best place, Sophie was admitted for a week with tonsilitis because she was dehydrated too.

I am feeling down. I have spent almost two month promoting and looking into ways to sell book with little result. How do we, on this little lump of rock called Britain ever get noticed in the largest market in the world. I am going away for a while to sulk.
Sorry guys for being on a downer. I have just tried so much and all I get is people saying: 'We would love to review your book, it looks really interesting send us a copy and we will let you know how much it will cost.'
I know my groans are petty and there are far more important things in this world to be worried about and that some of you are really suffering, so please forgive me. Just one of my self-indulgent moments.

Oh I sold 2 copies on the 28th of last month
Thanks for your kind replies. I think my problem is lack of computer skills. I know nothing about blogs. I think I need to take things more seriously and do some research. Trisha what are we to do? I think much of it has to do with the economy over here people watch where every penny goes. It wasn't like that a few years ago when people seemed to spend money on whatever they fancied. I went on one review site and it was really helpful in that I got to read and review other peoples work, which was interesting. However, it became clear that people were only on the site to help push their own books and not really interested in reviewing. Any way I have had my grummble for which I apologise. I shall eat some chocolate and escape back into my book. Thanks friends for being there.
i have honestly improved my writing skills, and i greatly appreciate it :) it makes my english and creative writing classes a lot easier :) so thanks everyone :)

I hope for an increase in interest after the Indietribe review at the end of March.
Sorry I have been at the house all day painting doors and walls. My editing and writing is all on hold, no other choice if we are to be in before the 1st of May we have to haul ass!
Alain is going in to have the skin cancer removed tomorrow morning and I am spending all day at the house. Keep my mind on other things, I have stuff to sort out on my way back from taking Alain to the hospital, like buying wood strips to finish the doors upstairs and buying paint!
We have a new Pope, Francois something, a south American, old, naturally. Why do they never choose one in his 40's? His father was, apparently the Camerlengo to a pope previously! Which pope I have no idea, they haven't said!
Sharon wrote: "Morning all,Sarah, fingers are crossed for you and Alain. x"
Thanks, I took him to the hospital for 9 this morning, I left about 10, he was doing a sudoku puzzle and waiting to go down to the theatre. I asked him if he wanted me to stay until he went down, but he said he'd be fine. And I had stuff to sort, and promptly gave me a list of things to do!
I got the paint, a real bargain at 16 Euros for Dulux Valentine, one coat stuff, I bought 6 tubs, in varying colours and saved myself a flipping fortune - at 48 Euros a tub in the DIY places! Lol it will still have cost me almost 200 Euros for paint though!
Sharon wrote: "That is a bargain. Is he only in for the day?"Yes, hopefully, that's all he's down for originally. I suppose it depends on what they find. He is going to ring me when he has some news of when I can pick him up.
Do we have any news of Eva's little girl?
Hope all goes well today Sarah.
What is up with Eva's little girl?
Morning Trisha.
