I feel for you, is the other flat totally off the agenda then? No way they will back down? Have you tried offering your property in England as Guarantor, unorthadox, but you own it so therefore you are not without resources.

I always wanted one of those patchwork quilts but the price has put me off!

Sophie is the worse patient ever, very needy, Joanne was always the same, Chris no.

Jo, would still have me run round after her when she was ill if I were nearer! A whispered, 'Leek and Potato soup will make me better mum' and off I'd go and make soup! Kids eh!!

message 8714: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) LOL - for some reason when Renee is ill, she has porridge. It was the only thing I could get her to eat.

message 8716: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I don't!

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "I don't!"

Lol, what's not to love about porridge! I have it made half milk, half water, no sugar, nor salt! Natural, as it comes. Sophie too!

message 8718: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Nope, I used to eat it all the time as a kid, but just went off it. Have tried to eat it since and it was horrible.

I don't have it often, but that's usually because I am to lazy to go into the garage for a carton of milk! I used to have it with sugar sprinkled on top when I was little and now I can't stand it with sugar, either in, or on.

Eva King | 1071 comments The property in scotlanddoesnt count for anything, I supose there's no way for them to get hold of it being in another country. Still looking. The quilt is lovely, and I'm the same, the prize is really expensive but since I wasn't counting on the voucher do there, basically got it for free.

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments I thought you were signing a 'rent to buy' contract, I don't understand their logic, you husband has a job, your rent is paid up to date on your current flat, surely they should be satisfied with that. Especially these days...

Never mind these things usually happen for a reason, and the house of your dreams is just around the corner!

you would think that, we went through an agency and the agency were trying to charge us 1300 euros just for their fees, that's without counting on the two months deposit and the months rent!

I would never go through an Agency, not paying those kind of fees. I went to the Maries offices, the Town Hall, they gave me a list of houses for rental in the area, and the prices of the rental. No hidden surprises, do they not do that in Spain too? We also have a computer site Le Bon Coin, they advertise long term rentals too. Have a look online, there may be something in Spain on similar lines.

I have an orange kitchen, and believe it or not I'm wearing a purple top today! Not doing me much good as I think Sophie has given me her cold! Bad head, and I ache everywhere!

Trisha Jones (authra) | 1074 comments The walls in my office

message 8733: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Trisha wrote: "The walls in my office"

One wall? Dark colours make a room seem smaller than it actually is. To avoid this paint just one wall in the dark colour and the other three walls a lighter shade of purple, therefore pushing the other walls out, making the room seem bigger. You could always use stencils in dark purple on the light that would be okay!

Trisha Jones (authra) | 1074 comments I was not going with dark or bright

Purple is a rich, dark, like Cadbury's Chocolate, it's wrapped in purple foil, but like I said, too much for a whole room, buy a small pot of dark purple paint one wall and mix white with the remainder for the three other walls! That's what I do! That way you are sure of a good match!

message 8743: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Morning Tony, How was your weekend?

message 8744: by Tony (new)

Tony Gilbert (tonygilbert8) Saturday, I spent much of the day suffering from aches and pains from boxing training.
Sunday, I went to watch my daughters dance show with my eldest son. Then, in the evening, I signed up for a distance learning copy editing and proofreading course :-)
How was yours?

message 8745: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) That sounds great Tony. You could come in handy ;o)

Not too bad. I finally started my story and went out for dinner with friends.

message 8746: by Tony (new)

Tony Gilbert (tonygilbert8) Very nice, what did you have?

message 8747: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Something naughty that will not be good for my diet. Rack of ribs with chips and Corn on the cob, witha huge salad and a very naughty chocolate dessert. Will have to work hard this week to make sure I don't put any weight back on.

Opened up "your writing" section on the anthology, so you can start putting bits up now.

message 8748: by Tony (new)

Tony Gilbert (tonygilbert8) Oooo, good news.

I love ribs, very messy though. Where did you go? The best ribs I have had were at La Tasca.

message 8749: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Just to a Harvester. The ribs just fell apart.

message 8750: by Tony (new)

Tony Gilbert (tonygilbert8) Do you have a busy day ahead?
