Sharon wrote: "Yes was thinking that. Maybe we could do another for the summer like we mentioned as well."Well if we are doing one for the summer better get the ball roling.
The end of July for publication, or August, that would give us five months, roughly to get it sorted.
Right, what theme do you think?
Of course Tony.I am game with any genre.
I think End of August.
I think we should aim again for maximum 5000 words for short stories, first edits to be done by 1st May. THink that gives enough time to get the ideas down and gives me time to spill it to the writers group!
of course, last time we only had 85 pages; i think it was around 25k words, not enough. Should i ask Emme if she can edit this one?Can you find out about that charity you said before?
OK, that's not a bad Idea. That is the first competition within the group - Name it.My title is - The Only Way is Write (as based in Essex). But that will obviously go to the vote.
yep, that one. I'll close the crimbo group and make another one, have you though of a name for the group/
Keep the CHristmas one open, we can always use it again for next christmas etc. Plus it has the authors in it, who may want to do it again.

is that the title or the anthology or or the group?
No that is my choice for the group, but I will make it a small competition, so the whole group gets a chance to choice a title and we pick the best one.
sounds good. right so 5500 words by the end of august.I'll send an email to emme, see if she's up for it.
Shall I open up a group on here maybe called "Summer Anthology" for now? We will both moderate again.
ok, maybe no genre but i still think it should have something in common. Like for example there's the pubishers Choco-Lit and they had submissions for stories about chocolate with a hint of romace, that way it will be easier to find a title..Do you see what i mean? it would be weird, having a uttery, googey romantic story when the next one is a horror...
Sharon wrote: "Shall I open up a group on here maybe called "Summer Anthology" for now? We will both moderate again."go for it.
No problem. let us get the group up and running on here (doing right now) then we can put it to a pole on what the theme should be. What do you think?
Of course. Proceeds from my short story on Amazon go to charity.Do we know which charity? Maybe that could serve as a prompt?
I work for the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth - the charity being St John's Hosice. I need to question them first, and then we can make it definite.
Sharon wrote: "Eva - what group did you put the Christmas Anthology under?"I put it under a private group, so people have to get invited instead of just joining.
Tony, the last anthology was for Barnardos, the were pretty strict and the content and on how to use their logo. You wouldn't believe but 3 writers backed out at the last minute and sarah and sharon handed in poems to bulk it up. We were newies at it, but in with this and next christmas we are doing extra marketing.
Anyone else reading these messages and is interested, PM me and if we are not friends, I will send a friend request and an invite for you to join.
Sharon wrote: "Maybe we should make the maximum word count per story 5500, just to boost it a bit."Why not up it to 10,000 make it easier for people who waffle like me! Keeping to 5000 words is a killer for me, almost impossible to keep to, I have cows ready to import!
Blooming plumber will make up his mind one day, I was all set to start tiling and he has his tools and stuff spread out all over the floor, impossible to get in there to start. Men!
we have upped the limit to 5500, but no one will be penalised if they go over. It's just the poor editers we have to think about ;o) lolCool. look forward to seeing the herd.
Eva wrote: "genre..Paranormal, thriller/mystery, romance, erotica, horror...?"
Lol I think adoptaguy.com will be my entry-with Sex,sun and chocolate! Lol there's my title 'Men, sex and Chocolate'! Now I wonder when I am going to write this, I'll give it a go but I'm not promising one hundred per cent for the moment - lol I may not have internet connection for April unless I can put a bomb under France Telecoms backside and find out why they don't reply to our telephone calls!

On my photos now, one of them isn't very clear though! I had an obstacle course to climb over thanks to the plumber!

Tony I ran it through the normal channels and my computer warned against going there, dangerous downloads! I think I'll steer clear!

go for it."
I like the idea of chocolate horror. I also think you should keep your Christmas anthology open because you will be able to advertise early this year. I gave it to my mum for christmas after reading it myself and she loved it. She liked the mixture of poems and stories.
by the way what's going on with this weird website?

I've no idea. How come?
Hey do you want to join us for the summer anthology
'Emagazine paying royalties' I received an email with a link.
I would like to join but I am not used to writing short stories and am currently writing another book. Please do not dismiss me for future projects, I think it is an honour to be asked and i love the idea of doing it for charity.

Morning
I don't know I found the ad here on Goodreads, so I sent you all the link in case you were interested, and then when I saw Tony's post on the faulty links I checked by going direct- I have McAffee secure search protecting my computer, and it has it marked as a dangerous download, in red lettering on the actual link before you click on it! So I thought I had better post a warning! Sorry if I confused you, blame it on the 2nd glass of red!
MorningIt's hello, goodbye this morning I'm off too photograph the digger and huge molehills and of course the fosse at the house for the album, maybe I should get one of the plumber actually doing what he's paid for!
Morning! That flat, once again. it fell through. They asked us for a bank garantor. Now i know things are bad here with the whole credit crunch, but come on! I'm almost 30, with my own property and kids and they want tme to ask my mummy or daddy to be garantors incase i don't pay the rent??
Sharon wrote: "Morning, You will never be that lucky to get an action shot - hee hee"
No you're right he'd finished by the time I got there! And when I came to take the photos low and behold the new batteries I put in Sunday were k*******d he's almost finished with the digger, I decided that as Alain had said mother needed to go shopping and he was going to have to take her... I was there and I had to go to Lidl to pick up the carpet pieces for the stairs. They are shaped to fit wooden stairs, to protect the tread and they look nice too, I picked a beige nice neutral colour cost me 30 Euros- Lol cheaper than carpeting the whole staircase and in any case its a hardwood staircase, that cost over 2,500 Euros and that was a cheap quote. A friend of Alain's paid 6000 for his! Made to measure, that's the problem an off the peg costs about 600 for hardwood but if it doesn't fit properly....

So you're gonna have to take my word for me being honest, that and the fact that I have a house of my own too in another part of France.
