Hey Tony you are not far from me (again) lol"

Well it's too late to go and do the tiling now so I had better content myself with making a nice lunch I am going this afternoon Sylvie the taxi driver is dropping Soph off at Mamie Eliza's (Alain's mum) which as you know is only just up the road from our house, lucky me! My future sister in law lives across the road from her too, hence the big gates or I'll never get any writing done for making coffee for visitors!

It is freezing here. This morning i did some writing. Then as the sun was calling to me I decided to go for a swim. now i just can't get warm. I am going to go onto my goodreads page and change my book covers. I think I will do that after i have sat by the fire and given the dog a hug.

I've been painting cows all afternoon, black ones, in the pantry! Alain's brother said they're cool, by tomorrow morning the whole village will know we have cows in our pantry!

Why? They look cool, I will post a picture tomorrow, I forgot the camera today. We now have our very own herd!

Very funny Alex. Good to see you around. It is too early for me to be up but i promised my son I would help him move today. I am looking forward to it but I enjoy my lay ins.

Cows strange. I think we need a bit more about your choice. Are you feeling well. Perhaps you are running a fever. LOL

No, no fever, and by now our herd of Friesians are probably the talk of the village, Alain's brother in law is the village's equivalent of the 'News of the World'. The 38 new mothers and their babies are all doing well and by now are probably dry! It will be the talking point of the house!

It's Alain's fault, he told Sophie that they used to keep the family cow in what is now our downstairs bedroom. Though I had other ideas for the deco in our bedroom I had nothing planned for the pantry and hidey hole for the freezer, ironing board, and the wine racks, it is ambient temperature in there. Roughly translated as bloody cold!

Pictures later, I'm off to start on the tiling now I have explained the dilemma I had with where to begin! The boss has decreed the course I should follow.....

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Morning all,

How is everyone today

GREAT, I'm going to see how the 'herd' is doing in a little while and start the tiling! I wanted to tell Alain the problem I had encountered before even sticking a single tile to the wall! so I painted the herd while I waited for him to get back from his errands.

Paul has 'me' mailed to say the editing is complete and my report will follow shortly... Scary stuff...You know this probably means HOD will go back on hold for a while, so I can do the re-writes! Oh bum! Means you'll have to read it through again too I'm afraid!

message 8461: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Oh damn - that will be such a challenge for me - LOL ;o)

I am starting up a writers group in Essex. It will get me out the house and in touch with like minded people. First meeting at end of March (so I can get organised and interest flowing) what do you think?

message 8462: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Oh try and take pics of the herd today :o)

I think it's a good idea, but one that wouldn't do me much good, all the writers I know in the area write in French! Not going to go there, prefer to sell the rights and let someone else do the hard work!

I thought we already had one, we already email each other stuff when we need advice and an honest opinion, help with spelling and editing and plot ideas so I think we can honestly call ourselves a writing group, all that's needed is a name - I'll let you choose that one, I'm in paint and tile mode!

message 8470: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) This is very true, and I was actually just about to say that - lol Great minds and all!

right cool. I supose we are kind of in a writing group; never thought about it like that but it's very cool. I have writers block, can't think of what to write next....Not in the mood anyway so I'm away to watch an episode of castle and munch of something.

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Well maybe I will design a monthly newsletter and send it to you guys, letting you know what we discuss and achievements etc! lol

message 8476: by Tony (new)

Tony Gilbert (tonygilbert8) You could call the online writing group 'Great Minds'. Morning all.

message 8480: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) LOL, you are on!

Lol, make sure your other members are aware the 'French Connection' isn't able to translate entire manuscripts, the odd sentence she can hack, with the help of 'The Soph' naturally, she's in charge of grammar!

message 8482: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Will do. No problem there.

message 8483: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sorry, missed that bit, morning Tony!

message 8484: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Right, well I'm leaving you guy's now, sorry, tiling waits for no man (or woman) apparently and I have to go and check on the fosse man. I'm hoping for his sake (and mine) he's turned up. Because I will be in line of direct fire if he hasn't, well someone has to take the blame, and I'll be nearest!

Talk to you later hopefully! Am picking my camera up as I close down!

Eva King | 1071 comments The spanish connection doesn't sound as good...It would be good to receive a newsletter and being part of the foreign section...
Morning Tony.
I think i could actually translate a book into spanish but it would have to pay a lot of money, since I'm really lazy and would need someone to proofread it afterwards, the translation of 50 shades into spanish made me so mad, even the title...god almighty i could've done a much better job.

message 8486: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) How about the Spanish Inquisition? LOL

message 8500: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Don't worry, I am going to write a piece for teh members section with the anthology in it and hopefully we will get some more sales for Barnardos'. I might do a flyer as well as there is a Barnardo's right next to my library, perhaps a flyer might help.
