Not bad, ta!I know the feeling. I done a 15 hour day yesterday in the hopes that I could clear some of my workload but have come in today to find that nothing has changed.
Sharon wrote: "I will try and be naughty, maybe later this afternoon (yes whilst at work) lol"Morning to you both, I am so glad I don't have to work! We fetched the gates yesterday afternoon, Alain's brother in law gave him a hand to get them out the van, he approves too, so can't be bad. It's a bit of a joke between us, he was very uppity with me before but since he was at the house one day with him in tow and I mentioned to Alain that he didn't need to line the chimney breast or wall to the passage way because they were now internal walls. He was taken aback that a woman should know stuff about houses and renovation and agreed that I was right. Alain was being his usual it's my house I'll do what I want, and chucking his dummy out the pram. He did what we both suggested naturally, but by that time it had become his idea!
Men, what are they like, especially French ones!
Tony wrote: "Probably true though.I am useless at DIY. My wife does all of ours."
My late husband was glued to the sofa a long time before he died, I had a choice do the DIY or live in a hovel!
My repertoire consists of, painting, wallpapering, artexing, tiling and grouting, replacing broken window panes, woodwork, kitchen assembly and fitting and simple electrical stuff like changing fuses and plugs!
And for anyone who asks, no I am not available for hire, because I'm trying to finish my third novel!
Tony wrote: "I can't even put paint on straight."Can't or won't? French men are strange DIY is their domain! The post woman was shocked to see me painting my bedroom, a- because of the colour-a deep red on the bottom half the wall, cream on top, and b. because my lazy husband sat in the kitchen watching the teletubby videos while Sophie helped mummy paint!
Sharon wrote: "Lol"Who does the DIY in your house? That's lunch defrosted, steak and chips today, I wrenched my back this morning, I moved quickly to catch a saucepan before it slipped off the pile of dishes I was drying and then I couldn't move-3 hours in bed and 2 magic pills later its okay again! I was hoping for a meal out for Valentines day at the Chinese, but apparently his rotivator needs an oil change! Who was it that said romance is dead?
Sharon wrote: "Well I painted the ceilings, and does anything electrical."Alain won't touch anything electrical, lol it's me that changes plugs and fuses, good job my dad taught us girls 'how to'! But I taught myself how to use a mitre saw after the husband made a pigs ear of cutting a piece of wood to frame a serving hatch. He cut the mitre the wrong way and thought it was funny! I wasn't amused and told him to bugger off as he was worse than useless, we never saw him again until meal time!
Sharon wrote: "He should have stayed to watch, he would have learnt a thing or 2 - lol"No, the bar down the road was calling to him, personally I think he did it deliberately. But you should have seen the look of horror on the Butcher's face when he walked past the place we stored the wine for the bar when he saw yours truly setting up the mitre saw and cutting a piece of wood! Mon Dieu (she does DIY too) c'est pas bien ca, pas bien de tous, ou est votre Mari? Au bar en face de la Mairie je pense!

Hi all. Spent all yesterday trying to put book on Createspace. Of course the cover was the wrong pixels. It wasn't createspace that was the problem, it was me and my computer. At one point I even lost my word 2010 and all my docs. By midnight the words were swimming about on the screen and the computer nearly got jumped. So today i decided to take another day off so not much writing done. Why aren't there more hours in the day.
Sarah, it was great using your blurb. I do like it.

I wrenched my back this morning trying to stop a saucepan clattering to the floor! It's better now the pain has gone but it's left me stiff!

Did you join Tony, I did I'm waiting to see if they want to feature Cally's secret on their blog.
Morning All I just looked on Twitter and I'm 21 follows off of my 3000! Not a bad years work that, I picked up some nice friends on the way too. Phil (alias Trigger from Only Fools and Horses) and I regularly have a little chat early in the morning.
Sharon wrote: "Morning all"Morning, I have just finished chapter 40 of HOD! I'll send it to you then I have to go into town and pick up lightbulbs for the house and remember to check whether they are bayonet or screwed and big or little screws! And in order to do that you have to open the packets!
Sharon wrote: "Does it not say on the box? YAY chap 40, you are spoiling me ;o)"Yes I know, it should be in your in box now. It may do in their jargon, and in French having been caught out a couple of times I find it pays to open the boxes carefully and check!
You are going to love 40!
Sharon wrote: "Excellent, Will read that in a bit."Okay well I'd better go and jump in the shower and then go buy the bulbs! Talk to you later.

Oh Sharon, we are in a bad way. I am not well either lots of pains. I am going to go back to bed soon. I am feeling like a poor friend. Thanks for your gift. I have sorted out my computer but it will be sometime before I can get to like it again. If it carries on misbehaving I shall abandon it and get a new one.
Just a little query can you be in KDP select and createspace?
Have a good day and take care of yourself Sarah.

KDP is only for ebooks and createspace is only for paperbacks.
Tarian wrote: "Sarah wrote: "Tarian wrote: "Hi all. Spent all yesterday trying to put book on Createspace. Of course the cover was the wrong pixels. Lol what a pair, my back is still hurting not as much as yesterday but I think I overdid the shopping! These new fangled light bulbs cost an arm and a leg in the supermarkets, okay so they say they last up to 10 years, but won't that put the manufacturers out of business? Lol at 15 euros each and we need 15 thats a huge outlay just for bloody bulbs! Thank heaven for Noz - 1.40 for the bayonett fitting ones Osram 10 yr guarantee and 2.50 for the screw fitting ones 10 yr guarantee - Oh how I love my local Noz! Got some cheap fresh coffee too and glasses (wine) to replace the ones I broke again, 2 pairs of new slippers too for the new house.

Lol I think the wallet will be severely punished over the coming few months, my car needs a service, my daughter is going to England with school in April and needs new clothes + paying for the trip and we are trying to finish the house!
Please if there is a God would he please put in a special word for Cally's Secret so I can sell loads of copies and pay for everthing I need to buy!
http://www.chacha.com/gallery/2055/ho...I really don't know what some of these couples were thinking of when they announced their intention to marry!
Strange site. Those new light bulbs are expensive. My tumble drier has broken again and of course Phil thinks he can fix it rather than buy a new one. I hate it when white goods go wrong.
Thanks for advice on create space. I am trying to hold off going free but you never know.
I hope you all had a great Valentines. My partner thought it was on Monday and bought flowers in advance. They were virtually dead by the time I received them.

No he thought he'd save money by buying them in advance, I remember how expensive flowers are in England on Valentines Day, the opposite here Alain could have bought a bouquet of roses for 7 Euros! He did buy me roses but I have no idea what he paid. He buys me flowers often for no reason, other than to say he loves me.
I agree I prefer NOz price any day! It might be just your belt that's gone in your Drier, and that's easy enough to replace.
Tony wrote: "Morning Eva!Happy Sunday everybody!"
Happy sunday to you too!
I don't know if you've seen a thread here in struggling writers, a small publishing company's asking for short stories, so I've sent one. Not really my genre, i usually write romantic stuff but this one's more thriller-ish. Keeping my fingers crossed that they like it.
completly dreading another rejection...
