I prefer to work alone, though I have no problems with helping a person out if they get stuck, and maybe suggesting a change of direction or plot change. I wouldn't expect to be given any credit as collaborator for that, after all that's what an Editor does! Maybe I missed my calling!

Hey Toni, I started writing around two years ago; for exactly the same reason as you; I'm an avid reader so why not write my own story. I do love it but sometimes i wake up thinking it's rubbish. Wrote almost 45k on an novel, woke up in a fowel mood and deleted it all. I could shoot myself now!

@ tony i write romance, tried writing fantansy but it sound silly, so sticking to what i know. besides i read somewhere that womens comercial sell better.

I don't have bad moods, but if I am moody for whatever reason I read through Take 3 Blondes or Growing Old Disgracefully, both romantic comedy, though the latter is a bit on the hot side!

You should still be able to retrieve it if it was on your hard drive all you need to do is to go back to the day before you deleted it and reboot, it won't change anything you have written and saved but it will allow you a second chance.

Pity but it's worth a try go into system on the control panel and in there it will explain how to go back to the day you last worked on it, your computer makes shadow copies, that's how the police manage to recover stuff people delete from their computers in an attempt to avoid detection.

I don't understand fantasy. My idea of fantasy is visions of chippendale lookalike men knocking at my door and stripping for me as a birthday surprise or someone arriving with a flashy sportscar that I won in a competition.

Don't mention it sometimes us blondes retain important information as well as the useless stuff. My son would be so proud of me, that's twice I remembered how to do this! I had to go back to the future when I got hit by viruses that wiped out my firewall! I managed to reinstate my computer to the day before the viruses struck and download a patch to filter the little buggers out.

Morning I'm having a bad day, I have to tell Sophie that Hugo was knocked down by a car this lunchtime and the vet says his injuries are such that it would be best maybe to put him to sleep. I left Alain to make the decision whether to bring him home and see if he survives the next couple of days. Even if he does he may never walk again.

We could so easily have lost both dogs today the reason Hugo ran off was to look for Eclair who had gone to see his girlfriend up the road, he came back with his tail between his legs knowing full well he would be in trouble. He's been searching the house for Hugo since we came back from the vets. They just telephoned to give us the bad news.

At least the girl that hit him stopped this time, but then again I witnessed it and someone else stopped too.

And I had such a good morning varnishing the stairs too!

Morning, Ive been limbo dancing under the stairs trying to see as low as I can go without falling off the chair whilst varnishing under the treads of the open staircase. I have three left to do and the last one I will have to lie on the floor to do I think! And next week I have to start all over again with another coat, it needs at least 3 before we put heavy traffic up there.

It is special varnish for staircases, non slip guaranteed and so it should be at 34 Euros a litre! Eclair went with me and kept me company, sunbathing in front of the patio windows in the lounge WHILST I WORKED - How rude of him!
