Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments MORNING

I have just spent a fun filled hour clearing the accumulated junk out of the downstairs bathroom. You know the stuff all the bits and pieces you can't find a home for anywhere else. Shove it in the shower cabinet and shut the door-place looks tidy then! We never use the downstairs shower it's too small and the doors were broke when I moved in, Alain mended them for me but no-one ever thinks of using the shower or sink because its not realistic as the washing machine is in there too as there wasn't room to put it in the walk in pantry as that is where my dishwasher is and neither rooms are that big! Just about room to swing the proverbial cat!

There would have been so much extra space if they hadn't put the wall between there and the toilet, they didn't upstairs. Having to go next door to wash your hands is a real pain and I mostly use the kitchen sink!

Thank goodness I stopped the Architect doing exactly the same thing at the new house - and the chi-chi with two sinks, when I'm in the bathrooom I want to be there on my own, have my wash/shower in peace not share it with someone else! And our new shower is walk in no piddling plastic doors to bump into every time you bend down to retrieve the soap!

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Morning,

Well it's called SLimming World, but I call it fat club because that is what I am (OK, a little on the overweight side), but, I reached my first half stone last night. Not too bad for only 3 weeks.

I will be sorting out our bathroom next week when i am off, and cleaning out the kitchen cupboards! Not sure why I do it to myself on my time off - lol

I wouldn't be doing this now if Herve wasn't bringing a friend! Jo and Herve are used to my clutter but I suppose it's one less job to do when we move. Lol, providing I don't fill it up again that is! Now to do the same with the toilet!

Having a well earned sit down now and having a nice cup of coffee and a chocolate chip cookie then I'll tackle the lounge!

You are doing it next week because like me there is always something more interesting to do than tidying up after everyone else!

message 7860: by Sarah (last edited Jan 25, 2013 03:08AM) (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments I suppose I ought to think about what we are having for lunch.... Pan fried Salmon and couscous works for me- I don't have time for chi-chi today too much cleaning to do before this evening! Bally dog, his fur gets everywhere-fur and dust from the fire and the dogs when they go outside.

When god made man why did cleaning automatically become womans' work?

You will be pleased to know Sophie will be eating in the canteen from next Monday-I was economic with the truth when I phoned to give her the bad news. But like Alain said I have painting and tiling to do or we won't be in the house for next Christmas! He is, of course exagerating, like most men he has a flair for it!

He is also fast becoming an expert floating floor layer - he did the third bedroom in a morning with a little help from his big bro!

That's not part of the slimming world diet! From what I remember bread was a banned substance! Higher on the not to do list than Cannabis!

I am being decidedly French on Twitter today - tweeting in French! Don't you just hate these know it alls!

message 7865: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) There are no points anymore. I can have up to 5-15 sins per day, but everything else I have been eating has been from my Free lists.

it's in the account tab, you can get paid by cheque or straight into the account. but you have to fill ut the tax malarcky as well, which appart frm the formatting is a hassle

Yes I gathered that, I've cracked the formatting it was just a matter of moving the margins on the original documents saving it and then uploading it again! Just the payments page I have to fill in and then I should be fine, my problem is although I live in France my pension is English and I am therefore registered with the English Tax offices not the French I will put a note informing Amazon of this because I don't want to be liable for tax in France and England otherwise I'll be joining Gerard Depardieu in defecting to Russia!

Yes, I'll jsut need to go into Cally's secret and take a shufty.

Okay Double click on the blue ruler at top left hand side

top 2cms bottom 1.5 left 0.5 right 0.5 gutter 0 left then click apply to the whole document.

You will have to change the whole of the original documents on your computer first and then upload a 2nd version of the same book using the ISBN numbers they gave the book first and mark on that it is a change of size.

Oh well no doubt we will be going there again in the not to distant future for something or other!

I'm pleased for you, now you can start looking for a new flat with renewed vigour, one with an oven too! What are the chances of finding a little house with a terrace or a small garden in a nearby village? Even with travelling maybe it would work out cheaper than being in Barcelona itself.

What about putting your flat in Scotland up for sale now and then maybe you could afford to get your feet on the property ladder in Spain, take advantage of the drop in property prices that usually happen in times of economic cut backs.

That's exactly what we are doing. Getting a flat outside the city cheap enough, and transport it end up more expensive. The transpost here is overpriced. so as soon as we find out the value of our one we'll be looking at repossesed houses or flats.

Good for you, oh that's bizzare, did you follow the link I forwarded to you in the email? It's on Amazon UK here's the link. And a little car? would that be cheaper than public transport? the best deals are long term leasing here in France 48 months depending on the car from 69 Euros a month for a Skoda okay it's the lowest of the low, but it would be brand spanking new and if it broke down they would give you a replacement. Maybe worth looking into if and when you move. And after a break of longer than anticipated I am back into HOD. The sooner I finish HOD the sooner I can get on with GOD! I have also changed the title on LTSC to The Menorah Murders and on the 12th of February it is off to be edited and as soon as it comes back and I do the necessary revisions it will be up on Kindle with Cally's Secret.

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Morning,

Well its raining here again today, which means my drive is back to being a mud slide, the joy of living in a house with Scrooge as your landlord who won't even repair the electric socket that's been broken now for almost three years! He's even had a recorded delivery letter reminding him about it so I know asking him to do something about the state of the driveway will fall on deaf ears!

Hi all, I have put on about a stone in weight being sat all day working on the book. I am now returning to the land of the living. I have published book but could do with opinions. What is worrying me is the formatting. If anyone could check out the 'look inside' with fresh eyes and let me know what you think.

Alps or Pyrenees? I don't do skiing, though I have to say I have never actually tried, I am Bambi impersonator Supreme - my 10 year old went skiing, she loved it, but I prefer the idea of apres ski, sat on the terrace with a steaming mug of hot chocolate in the sun catching a few rays!

And if your weather is like ours over the next few days it's set to get colder with some days not getting above freezing but there's no snow forecast for Brittany as yet - the rest of France yes!

@ Tarian

I am working on your blurb I'll come back with a few phrases and ideas for you to play around with!
