Make a website
Tarian wrote: "I love wood burners. Trisha your degree sounds really interesting. I hope it all goes well for you."Yep me too. I have just found a really neat wood burning stove with an oven and it is supplied in Bordeaux the same colour we have chosen for the kitchen. The problem it is almost 3000 Euros! Ouch! I don't suppose I will get one this year!

Very, what a pity HOD isn't finished, bummer.
How's you Eva? I have been hauling wood this afternoon in the rain too and tomorrow I volunteered for shopping duty with mother. Will I never learn! Mind I have nothing else much on tomorrow as the electricity will be off all morning while they change us over to another supply. so instead of being at the end of the line with reduced supply we will be at the beginning with all the power we need!
And we'll be moving in a couple of months!
I have been tile shopping online - I found an alternative tile for the floors in the house which is almost a third of the price, and the tile adhesive is a third of the price too and the undercoat for the plaster. Maybe now Alain will stop bugging me when I am on the computer! I saved him over 500 Euros tonight!
Lol I just went swimming pool shopping to find out how much it would cost - so I know how many books I have to sell before we get our pool- under £11,000 for a big pool 32ft by 17 and 5ft deep - this will give me an incentive to start writing again because this is something I intend to have in my garden at Penvern as soon as possible!

I know, i was thinking the same, shame you can't pitch a book that's not finished.
Hey Sharon!
Good morning everyone. Snow is on its way. I love snow it makes life more interesting. I am determined to at least do two hours writing today but first i must eat something as I am seriously starving.
Hi Sharon it would be such a shame if you got snowed in, had to stay at home, sit in a cosy chair by a fire and read a good book. Have a good day all.

I know exactly what you mean Tarian. I have snow days saved up so fingers crossed, I get to use them ;o)
Tarian wrote: "Good morning everyone. Snow is on its way. I love snow it makes life more interesting. I am determined to at least do two hours writing today but first i must eat something as I am seriously starvi..."well, no chance of snow here, can't complain but cant brag either.

@ Eva All we get is more blooming rain another grey day wet and miserable but I can see a tiny patch of blue over yonder, please let us have a sunny day tomorrow I don't care if its cold just as long as I see that golden round thing for a few hours!

Morning Trisha here too ooh a ray of sunshine, how lovely!
Sharon wrote: "I know exactly what you mean Tarian. I have snow days saved up so fingers crossed, I get to use them ;o)"
Morning, you didn't succumb to Monsters bug did you?
Sharon wrote: "No not at all, doctor said I was fit as a fiddle.Morning Trisha"
That's good, we dropped the trailer off at Alain's Brothers last night and he didn't look at all well, he'd got the bug, just hope by kissing my cheek he didn't give it to me! I wiped my face with a cloth dunked in bleach water and then put some antiseptic on it when I got back in the house a few minutes later. After first wiping my cheek with my sleeve! Lol reminds me of kissing the ageing aunt with whiskers when you're a child!
Sharon wrote: "We just had the cheek pullers - lol"All this kissing spreads germs a treat, and you never know whether to expect 1, 2, 3 or 4 kisses usually in the air the rule is one is for familly (or those too lazy to go the whole hog) 2 is for people you know from work or just to be polite, 3 is for those you know better and 4 for those you know intimately or family members.
What's wrong with shaking hands? But then again where has the hand been is something that runs through my mind!
Sharon wrote: "Air kisses are much better."You aren't going to believe it, but we have sunshine! After all the rain we finally have a glimpse of the sun!
Sharon wrote: "We had the sun yesterday lol"Its dropping colder here, good job we have plenty of wood especially as we too are down for snow on Sunday. Mind they said that before Christmas and we didn't get any! The only time I get to play with the 4 wheel drive lately has been getting out the garden with the mud both here and at the new house.

Yes, well Eva you will be happy to know I am up to chapter 20 almost with Cally's secret!
I googled Penvern it looks lovely, like Cornwall.
I am like Sharon I prefer air kisses with people other than close family. I don't get all this kissing thing i never know when you do it and when you don't. I usually end up bumping noses.

well done you! Had another rejection letter, argh! how do you cope with it? at first I thought, yes I can deal with it but now my little demon is saying that my writing is crap and that I should give up
Eva wrote: "Sarah wrote: "Eva wrote: "Sarah wrote: "Eva wrote: "hey, thought this might be interestinghttp://www.crimsonromance.com/feature..."
Very, what..."
I have a folder full of them and most of them are the cookie cutter kind
If it was written by a person they will give u some ideas how to make it better
I was told you need to have enough to wallpaper your office before you will get an acceptance letter
Tarian wrote: "I googled Penvern it looks lovely, like Cornwall.I am like Sharon I prefer air kisses with people other than close family. I don't get all this kissing thing i never know when you do it and when ..."
lol, yes me too! Penvern is in the country, fields to the back of our house, a small hamlet with about 16 houses. Brittany is very much like Cornwall, the coast too.

Hey we all have thanks but no thanks letters, I don't let it get to me. The first few hurt my feelings and after that I hardened and wised up-what do they know, they only read the first few lines and if they've had an argument with their husband/wife the night previous they take it out on us! Nothing personal, just bitchiness. Get hard Eva, its the only way, let it roll over your head- I was lucky with TBL and all I got was acceptance letters but none of them would take the chance I deserved and back me to the hilt-everyone wanted me to contribute. I know I have what it takes, I believe in me and no matter how many rejection letters I get I will keep trying, DIY is the way I'm going now, I will reap all the benefits that way.
Trisha wrote: "Eva wrote: "Sarah wrote: "Eva wrote: "Sarah wrote: "Eva wrote: "hey, thought this might be interestinghttp://www.crimsonromance.com/feature..."..."
One way or another we will get through, hell even Stephen King got rejection letters. D h Lawrence too with Lady Chatterly... the list is endless JK Rowling had over 130 for her first book but she didn't give up or lose faith, she believed in herself. Keep the faith we will break through!
Sarah wrote: "Trisha wrote: "Eva wrote: "Sarah wrote: "Eva wrote: "Sarah wrote: "Eva wrote: "hey, thought this might be interestinghttp://www.crimsonromance.com/feature......"
I agree
Don't let yourself give up because of stupid no thank yous from who ever you submitted your work to
You listening Eva, you should ask for help with spelling and grammar, with English not being your first language it's always more difficult to write in another language. We help each other, hell I am reading through TBl and I have found 3 or 4 stupid spelling errors and I'm English - past for passed was one of them. Duh am I blonde or what!
Sarah wrote: "You listening Eva, you should ask for help with spelling and grammar, with English not being your first language it's always more difficult to write in another language. I'm saving up so Emme can help me with the book once I'm finished.
Morning all, It is grey and cold here today. How is everyone else?
I had my first weigh in last night with Slimming World - I lost 4.5lbs. Doing the happy dance ;o)
Eva wrote: "Sarah wrote: "You listening Eva, you should ask for help with spelling and grammar, with English not being your first language it's always more difficult to write in another language. woohoo! Well done, I have no idea if I have lost weight this Christmas or not, I haven't put any on because my clothes still fit me so that's a good start.
But we didn't over indulge at all this Christmas, not even with the falling down juice!
Sharon wrote: "Same here. is till have a tin of chocolates that I never opened."I have a box of Ferrero Rocher! My friend Arthur Crandon in Hong kong would like to send you his book to read, there are mistakes to be found and plot discrepancies too I think, I said I would ask you to see if you are game. He is going to help me with the publishers - he's a solicitor! HE HE HE! Raider are in for yet another surprise!
its on Amazon called Deadly Election and it has look inside - see what you think.
Sharon wrote: "That's fine with me, you know I love reading ;o) Pass my details on, that is fine."Okay, but I would never do it without your permission, he is funny and a bit lonely, my age two failed marriages and an abandonned retirement his second wife lives in England with his kids. He has a girlfriend so there is hope for him at least he's not billy no mates!
Sharon wrote: "Thank you.I appreciate the privacy (so to speak). What is his genre of writing?"Murder/political thriller with an erotic twist, nice and dark the way you like it. He had no editor, or publisher I read the look inside and he has sent it to me so I can send it to you as a pdf file now.
Sharon wrote: "Thats cool. Just down my alley ;o)"Should be in your in box now! After lunch I am driving to Lorient again to fetch the tiles with Alain and his brother for downstairs so I will speak to you on Monday have a good weekend.
Morning Our weather is back to normal-its raining again! Ihave to do a second tile run this afternoon to pick up the bargain tiles we bought-we got a pallet of bathroom wall tiles, in a nice shade of pink with pale lilac mosaic design, oblong as oppose to square all for the knockdown price of 20 Euros! Enough to tile both bathrooms! We got tile adhesive at half price too and the floor tiles for the kitchen, lounge, passage and bathroom and a wood burning stove for the original budget for the fire!
I just love a bargain!

Morning Trisha how are you."

That's good, what do you plan to do when you're qualified?
Tarian wrote: "Yeh you are definately made of the same stuff. I think that is really funny.i like good lolly."
Like I said I'm a cheeky monkey. I'm also a very wet and cold one at the moment, just came back from fetching wood from Alain's mother's garden-we took it there because we thought we would be in our new house by Christmas. so now when we run out of wood we have to go all the way to mother's to fetch it. We bought two trailer loads so we should be okay for a couple of months, depending on how cold it is. And the forecast is for our weather to get colder, it didn't say drier so we'll probably get snow too!
