That's good, what do you plan to do when you're qualified?

Tarian wrote: "Yeh you are definately made of the same stuff. I think that is really funny.i like good lolly."

Like I said I'm a cheeky monkey. I'm also a very wet and cold one at the moment, just came back from fetching wood from Alain's mother's garden-we took it there because we thought we would be in our new house by Christmas. so now when we run out of wood we have to go all the way to mother's to fetch it. We bought two trailer loads so we should be okay for a couple of months, depending on how cold it is. And the forecast is for our weather to get colder, it didn't say drier so we'll probably get snow too!

Yep me too. I have just found a really neat wood burning stove with an oven and it is supplied in Bordeaux the same colour we have chosen for the kitchen. The problem it is almost 3000 Euros! Ouch! I don't suppose I will get one this year!

Very, what a pity HOD isn't finished, bummer.

How's you Eva? I have been hauling wood this afternoon in the rain too and tomorrow I volunteered for shopping duty with mother. Will I never learn! Mind I have nothing else much on tomorrow as the electricity will be off all morning while they change us over to another supply. so instead of being at the end of the line with reduced supply we will be at the beginning with all the power we need!

And we'll be moving in a couple of months!

I have been tile shopping online - I found an alternative tile for the floors in the house which is almost a third of the price, and the tile adhesive is a third of the price too and the undercoat for the plaster. Maybe now Alain will stop bugging me when I am on the computer! I saved him over 500 Euros tonight!

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Lol I just went swimming pool shopping to find out how much it would cost - so I know how many books I have to sell before we get our pool- under £11,000 for a big pool 32ft by 17 and 5ft deep - this will give me an incentive to start writing again because this is something I intend to have in my garden at Penvern as soon as possible!

Good morning everyone. Snow is on its way. I love snow it makes life more interesting. I am determined to at least do two hours writing today but first i must eat something as I am seriously starving.

Hi Sharon it would be such a shame if you got snowed in, had to stay at home, sit in a cosy chair by a fire and read a good book. Have a good day all.

I have just got back from shopping with mother, god it takes forever - 3 hours - 1 shop and like an idiot I mentioned I was going to look at shoes next week in the sales, and mother said could she come too please as shoe shopping requires patience that Alain doesn't have!
<
@ Eva All we get is more blooming rain another grey day wet and miserable but I can see a tiny patch of blue over yonder, please let us have a sunny day tomorrow I don't care if its cold just as long as I see that golden round thing for a few hours!

That's good, we dropped the trailer off at Alain's Brothers last night and he didn't look at all well, he'd got the bug, just hope by kissing my cheek he didn't give it to me! I wiped my face with a cloth dunked in bleach water and then put some antiseptic on it when I got back in the house a few minutes later. After first wiping my cheek with my sleeve! Lol reminds me of kissing the ageing aunt with whiskers when you're a child!

All this kissing spreads germs a treat, and you never know whether to expect 1, 2, 3 or 4 kisses usually in the air the rule is one is for familly (or those too lazy to go the whole hog) 2 is for people you know from work or just to be polite, 3 is for those you know better and 4 for those you know intimately or family members.

What's wrong with shaking hands? But then again where has the hand been is something that runs through my mind!

Its dropping colder here, good job we have plenty of wood especially as we too are down for snow on Sunday. Mind they said that before Christmas and we didn't get any! The only time I get to play with the 4 wheel drive lately has been getting out the garden with the mud both here and at the new house.

lol, yes me too! Penvern is in the country, fields to the back of our house, a small hamlet with about 16 houses. Brittany is very much like Cornwall, the coast too.

Hey we all have thanks but no thanks letters, I don't let it get to me. The first few hurt my feelings and after that I hardened and wised up-what do they know, they only read the first few lines and if they've had an argument with their husband/wife the night previous they take it out on us! Nothing personal, just bitchiness. Get hard Eva, its the only way, let it roll over your head- I was lucky with TBL and all I got was acceptance letters but none of them would take the chance I deserved and back me to the hilt-everyone wanted me to contribute. I know I have what it takes, I believe in me and no matter how many rejection letters I get I will keep trying, DIY is the way I'm going now, I will reap all the benefits that way.

One way or another we will get through, hell even Stephen King got rejection letters. D h Lawrence too with Lady Chatterly... the list is endless JK Rowling had over 130 for her first book but she didn't give up or lose faith, she believed in herself. Keep the faith we will break through!

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments You listening Eva, you should ask for help with spelling and grammar, with English not being your first language it's always more difficult to write in another language. Hey, it was for a short story,I got feedback and what most of them said is that I descrived feelings morethan the actions; it was good of them to give me feedback,I can work on it, but makes me wonder how someone like eL james got a break with a shitty book and I can't get through with flash fiction.
I'm saving up so Emme can help me with the book once I'm finished.

That's a good idea, I have a friend on Twitter who generally deals with murder mystery who will edit for a small fee, three people read through he gives tips on police procedure, plot etc. He was a former detective and has several books of his own published.

woohoo! Well done, I have no idea if I have lost weight this Christmas or not, I haven't put any on because my clothes still fit me so that's a good start.

But we didn't over indulge at all this Christmas, not even with the falling down juice!

Our weather is back to normal-its raining again! Ihave to do a second tile run this afternoon to pick up the bargain tiles we bought-we got a pallet of bathroom wall tiles, in a nice shade of pink with pale lilac mosaic design, oblong as oppose to square all for the knockdown price of 20 Euros! Enough to tile both bathrooms! We got tile adhesive at half price too and the floor tiles for the kitchen, lounge, passage and bathroom and a wood burning stove for the original budget for the fire!

I just love a bargain!
