I tried to paste a picture here for you, but being blonde I can't figure out how to get it from my photos to here! So in order to see your Angel Heart Medal I have awarded you I'm afraid you will have to go to my pictures!

Irene (wingdesilverii) | 2500 comments Okay, thanks. :)
I'll go check it out.

I think to get a picture to paste you can follow the directions under (some HTML is okay) link above the type box. I have only posted a pic once and that's how I did it.

Thanks I have read it through and I am far too blonde to be able to work it out, maybe one day it will click into this blonde head. Who knows!

Welcome to the club! I have just finished editing my second novel ready to send off to the publishers. I have to get another pack of paper I need 514 sheets, gonna cost a fortune to post it again! Each Publisher has their own little foibles, some like you to put it on disc, some want it e-mailed direct. This one likes it in print, and on CD. I am more than happy to comply and I hope I have a favourable reply in 7 - 8 weeks time! In the form of a contract to publish maybe then an Agent will take me seriously!

In the meantime I have dusted off two of my part started manuscripts and I am working on both of them simultaneously until one takes my full attention! Today I'm in blonde mode. Romantic comedy, a breath of fresh air after the last murder thriller.

Anastacia *gaining love* Asbury haha dont worry some of us brunettes have those blonde moments also!!!! especially me!!!! :P

How are you this wet and windy morning. Alain is at the moment chasing the plastic windows of my greenhouse round the field behind us. It got a bit windy during the night!

I took a look at it, it sounds quite funny she has a few other titles which I may look at if it lives up to expectations. I put it on my to read list and will order it later this evening from Amazon.

Thanks for that Anna

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Hi ya hun

Did you have a nice weekend, I finished my reading now I am wondering if I need to put in the end of a book I haven't written at the beginning. An end to the beginning or the beginning of the end? What do you think?

I am tinkering with Arabella Frimley Smythe at the moment. I have bought over a couple of characters from The thin blue line, Serena and Nigel Howard and Stefan Le Fevre is headin in there too! Arabella is about to pick up her bit of rough! A farmer who Clarissa introduced her to in Anabell's!

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Hiya hun, I had the day off yesterday, had a very heavy metal gig on Sunday night. What a stupid night to have a gig, but it was worth it. Will catch up with you in a bit as have a days worth of crap to catch up on and will get back to you later today with my input on the excellent book. :)

Are you up to date yet and ready to play?

I am having fun with Arabella and her bit of rough at the moment. He's a young farmer she picked up in Anabell's named Chris!

Yes I remember, when other people have a day off their work gets shared out between the others when you have a day off they leave it to pile up! Been there!

Morning hun,

I gotta go out for an hour or so my friend is down in the dumps and I have to go cheer her up. I'll probably need a stiff drink when I get back to pick me up. She has the usual problem too much month and not enough money! She had to stop smoking which is making her even crankier lucky me!

message 726: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Well good luck on that one then hun. Speak to you on your return.

message 727: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "Well good luck on that one then hun. Speak to you on your return."

Hi hun

I'm back, it must be my lucky day she found some money from somewhere and bought some cigarettes, so she was less stressed than I expected.

She is really down, mind if she stopped buying all her food from people who deliver to the door she might have a bit more spare cash at the end of the month.

When I go shopping I look for the bargains, as you well know Noz is my favourite shop. I only buy meat and fish when it's on promotion and a fraction of its usual price.

I paid 2.20 per kilo for pork I have joints and a shed load of chops for 30 euros. Yesterday it was lamb on offer, so I bought a pack of lamb. When stewing beef is at 3.50 I by 3 or 4 packs, and stow it in the freezer, I'm like a little squirrel with its nuts.

If I have a lean month or need something I live out the freezer and the cupboard for a month and save my money! She says her freezer is empty, she has no spare cash and her hubbies pay doesn't come in until the 1st week of November!

I haven't told Alain but I will help her out with a bit of food, but not money she will buy cigarettes and that I don't agree with. Some cabbage, carrots, parsnips, beans and potatoes, a pack of chops and a pheasant and a small joint of pork. The odd pack of pasta and some eggs and milk. I can't see the 2 girls go hungry, itwould go against my nature you never know when you might need the favour returning.

I hate football and I was forced to sit through not one but two flippin matches last night!

Tonight is my revenge, Masterchef the semi final for two hours!

message 729: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Hiya

Masterchef is a good revenge, not even I can suffer 2 football matches. I have to bake tonight. Just what I need, get in from work and bake cakes. We have a cake and coffee morning here for Breast Cancer tomorrow and most of the staff have to do the cooking.

Use your mixer if you have one chuck everything in together and switch it on I made a pineapple and Mango upside down cake the other day in less than 5 minutes it was in the oven another favourite is date and walnut again I just chuck everything in with the exception of the dates and walnuts to start when it is well mixed I chuck the stoned dates and walnut halves in and let them turn for a few seconds to chop them up and then into a tin and slap it in the oven.

I don't fuss about with cakes and they are always perfect touchwood!

Most of the time I am making them whilst doing something else, like trying to prepare the other two courses!

I think alain is briging mother back for dinner today, mmm she mightneed longer in the oven than a joint of lamb!

Onion sauce goes well with mutton, but I never cooked a dragon before so not sure!

message 733: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) LOL - I can imagine Dragon meat may be a little tough, may have to slow cook for at least a day to get it nice and tender.

message 734: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "LOL - I can imagine Dragon meat may be a little tough, may have to slow cook for at least a day to get it nice and tender."

Yes I thought that too then I remembered dragons breathe fire so maybe she would self combust!

She's not that bad now she has mellowed over the last year, partly because I am the only person in the family that actually invites her to dinner or sends her ready prepared meals from time to time, takes her to the doctors, the hairdressers, shopping etc..

Have you finished the book? I am getting ready to send the manuscript off to Pegasus. I have edited it twice now in full as well as editing on the hoof daily.

Anastacia *gaining love* Asbury who else is competing on NANOWRIMO???????

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Anastacia wrote: "who else is competing on NANOWRIMO???????"

Not me that's far to much pressure the last book took me a year from conception to edited and ready to go 1 month would see me with about 6 chapters if I'm lucky!

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Morning hun

We had a horrendous thunder storm here last night it tripped all the electrics and we sat in the dark for over an hour. We could have put it back on but we would have risked cramming something.

Poor Sophie was shaking like a leaf as big as she is she is still frightened of storms. Understandable after she was almost killed by a huge piece of stone that came through the roof from the exploding chimney!

message 738: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Hiya, we just had the bake morning for breast cancer. There were so many cakes there and now nothing left. Think we did well this morning.

Did you raise lots of money? It's a worthy cause, my son jumped out of an aeroplane today for a worthy cause!

A little boy from Leeds who needs to go to America to enable him to talk and walk, he has Cerebral Palsy and England say they can't do any more for him!

I have pledged a signed copy of The Thin Blue Line for the next fundraising event, when it comes off the press!

message 740: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Yes in the 3 hours that the cakes were on sale, we raised £900, all by donations and raffle ticket sales. Every cake went and there were a lot of cakes there.

message 741: by Sarah (new)

Good for you, did you buy your own cakes back? I've done that before, some of the cakes were sad in the middle, others looked as heavy as lead!

Alain gave his mobile a shower last night in the storm and wonders why it's flashing at him. He got water in the screen and as far as I am aware that means its knackered!

message 742: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) No, I got a few of the other people cupcakes, but mine all went pretty fast, so I can't complain. Yes Alain needs to get a new phone - lol

Well that's what I told him but of course I'm only a woman, and he forgets this is the second time he's baptised it!

Suggestions on line say to put it in a bowl of dry rice because that absorbes moisture so I just dropped it in a tub of rice minus the battery with its back on. But it won't do any good I dried it with a hairdryer too! Screens gone milky! Men eh who'd have em!

Yes I know, like yesterday with the dehumidifier, plug it in and switch it on said I, I did that but its not working! No it won't work if you turn it the opposite way it needs to be turned clockwise!

He wouldn't have it he was wrong!

This morning the freezer's green light isn't on what should I do? Out I go to the garage in me nightie and dressing gown switch the fast freeze switch on and guess what it works, the light doesn't show up well in daylight!

Can you tell he's not electrically minded, if a plug needs fitting I have to do it, he can manage to change a bulb, just!

message 746: by Sharon (new)

Or the perils of being a 20th Century woman, now they expect us to be able to do everything ourselves. No change there then!

Besides wiring Alain up to the mains? No I'm not that mean, I blame his mother I think she must have dropped him on his head when he was a baby!

No Sophie is going to her friends I think because she lives in the village so they can go trick or treating, she hasn't requested a costume as yet but I have the weekend to concoct something I got plenty of black plastic sacks and 3 mtrs of black material so I should be able to come up with something!

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Well I am being naughty tonight, am having Chinese but other then that, I think I will just be taking it easy.
