http://www.amazon.co.uk/James-Blond-S...Go take a look at this book, it's from one of my new followers, Terry Ravenscroft - former script writer for the Two Ronnies, Les Dawson and Alas Smith and Jones to name a few, I read a little it, looks hilarious. I have to go through Amazon .com in order to buy it and buy it I will.
Yeah from rags to riches lol for designing and making Barbie clothes to die for! You do realise if I make more than a million Euros I will have to re-locate to Belgium alongside Gerard Depardieu, cos I agree totally with his decision not to pay 75% of his salary to the state! Time for another revolution I think, bring back the King and Queen......
crap, i can't find cramberry sauce anywhere! It was a bloody struggle to find brussel sprouts...anyway. I'm fine. Stressing out with crimbo like every year... @Sarah, I'm dying to read TBL, when will it be out on kindle??

I am going to send a rec del letter to my publishers after Christmas giving them 7 working days to comply with my terms and if they don't I am putting it onto amazon myself under a new title I think. Cally's Secret! So just be patient a little longer, like you I can't concentrate on anything at the moment, I am stressed out wondering if I will have enough money to finish everything I need to do and still pay my rent!
Can you find frozen cranberries or even dried ones if so it's very easy to make.

I'll swap you, I need four wheel drive to get out of the drive here its that muddy, I nearly ended up looking like I'd been mud wrestling last night when I skidded my way to the garage with the washing to go in the dryer!
Our Rillettes de lapin turned out well. Jo and the kids will do it justice over the weekend, whilst we eat all the stuff kids don't like - like oysters cooked with camembert and roquefort, smoked salmon and prawns and coquille st jacques don't know what they're missing! I can eat rillettes at any time in the year but I only bring the oysters out at Christmas!and New Year.Barbie is now a super model for the Sarah Weldon Christmas Collection on my photos! Watch out Christian Dior I'm coming through with glamour for Barbie, oh and Sophie now wants a Ken doll too! Then will come the wedding dress and suit request... again!

I've asked santa for a sewing machine, I really want to try and make a patchwork blanket for my bed. I've made a cover for my mother's Ipad with crochet...
Eva wrote: "Sarah wrote: "Our Rillettes de lapin turned out well. Lesson one, unpack it lesson two buying material - hell I even bought her scissors and cottons and shuttles in all the colours of the rainbow! Even if she only learns how to repair and shorten her own trousers it will have been worth it. Though I have hopes of her making Barbie clothes like those too!

It is really windy we r suppost together rain or snow tonight
Eva wrote: "well i know how to stich my own trousers, but i do t by hand. what are shuttles anyway?"Shuttles are the little secondary bobbins that fit in the free arm of the sewing machine. The free arm version is the best to buy as a flat bed limits you with sleeves and trouser legs. Most new machines are free arm with an attachment for the flat bed useful for beginners or when sewing heavy or big stuff. I never use mine I only ever work with the free arm no matter what I sew, which recently has been tiny stuff for barbie, I even made sexy underwear for the doll, bra, pants and slips I even made a basque! But someone spirited it away with their Barbie, the underwear too. I told her this time she had better not let them disappear or there will be trouble!

Its still raining here and I am getting fed up of it!
The kids are as high as kites becuase they had a caga tio at the school and are eating tons of sweets
Sharon wrote: "Sorry all, been a busy afternoon. It hasn't stopped raining here either Sarah"Tell me about it we just got back from Decathlon Alain bought Sophie a protective vest for riding its too long at the back and not big enough to go round her and it's supposed to be a large adults!
a caga tio is a log of wood (with a face and nose and a hat) that you put under the xmas tree, you have to feed it etwo days bfore crimbo, then on crimbo day you hit it wih a stick and it poops sweeties...

Eva wrote: "yeah, kind of. pinatas are for bdays and they break this is a proper log and you can keep for years"I'm intrigued how do you get a log to poop sweets my logs are solid I put them on the fire to keep the house warm! Are they special logs hollowed out?
Nono, you put a blanket around them to keep the warm, hide the sweeties in the blanket and that way the kids think they have pooped, google it. it's really interesting. Is there anything similar in France?http://www.barcelona-metropolitan.com...
Trisha wrote: "I have to finish up Xmas shopping tomorrow"alright, leaving it to the last minute eh?
Eva wrote: "Nono, you put a blanket around them to keep the warm, hide the sweeties in the blanket and that way the kids think they have pooped, google it. it's really interesting. Trisha wrote: "I have to finish up Xmas shopping tomorrow"I have got 2 more gifts to buy and then I'm finished! Until after Christmas when I will buy Alain's present, parquet flooring for one of the bedrooms in the new house. He said that was what he wanted, who am I to argue. We need quite a few square metres of the stuff the landing and three bedrooms and its not cheap, we need it to have at least 10yrs guarantee!
Eva wrote: "Trisha wrote: "I have to finish up Xmas shopping tomorrow"alright, leaving it to the last minute eh?"

my hubby wants weights, he thinks he's too skinny 9he's not really) and found someone selling them second hand, brand new are too expensive

Bean cans work just as well as expensive weights so they reckon you perform the same actions!
Iam using my tablet as the dog chewed the power cable to my computer! I am starting to hate that dog that makes 3 cables so far the next one I am going to put round its neck and pull it t ight. I have to go out now and buy a new cable!
Morning allI am doing my big food shop tonight after work, I know I must be made. Taking Monst shopping tomorrow morning so he can get me some presents - LOL I have a few more little bits to get, but nothing major thank goodness.

Yep I have to agree with you there! I have just got back from a mad dash around brittany trying to find trionimos for jo to give sophie for christmas - sold out except for the expensive ones and the childrens version! Let's hope the doll I ordered as an extra comes by tomorrow then jo can give sophie that instead and I can order a trionimos after christmas.
I went all that way and still forgot the computer cable! Grr ..I had to take the protective vest back to decathlon too- too small they gave me a gift card to use up to 2years!
I only have to get the food, no point of getting it before because it'll just get eaten. Today I had a class and she said she went shoppin yesterday and the shopping center was a nightmare
Eva wrote: "I only have to get the food, no point of getting it before because it'll just get eaten. Today I had a class and she said she went shoppin yesterday and the shopping center was a nightmare"Morning Eva
I found a spare cable in my magic bag of assorted cables so at least I know the dog only got as far as destroying the cable and not my tower!
No the shops here were a nightmare too this morning I only needed bits and bobs as I'm not the one doing the shopping this year. Lol I will be going to run the gauntlet on Monday with Jo to get all the things she couldn't afford or forgot.
Sarah has your packet arrived. I sent a package to Spain for my friend Heather the same time I posted yours and hers arrived this morning.
Sharon wrote: "I am going this evening after work. :o("I don't envy you... at all people would stab each other to death over the last lettuce and think nothing of it. The best time to go shopping and get some pearling bargains is an hour before they are due to close on Christmas Eve or it used to be Sainsburys reduced everything- I bought a whole salmon for £3 and a huge piece of beef for £10 instead of £25 cakes and stuff too anything that won't keep for two days basically they get shut of. Hoping they do that here too on Monday with the gateaux and Salmon.... Maybe a nice reduced leg of lamb...
I normally go shopping at midnight on 23rd december going in to 24th, but as we have no car at the moment it will be a bit hard.
Sharon wrote: "Sarah has your packet arrived. I'll go take a look in the box. No, nothing the doll was down to arrive today too! I'm glad now I didn't buy her blooming calendar.
Sharon wrote: "I normally go shopping at midnight on 23rd december going in to 24th, but as we have no car at the moment it will be a bit hard."Did your plea for a courtesy car fall on deaf ears?
Sharon wrote: "We wont get one, but our car will be fixed within the next 2-3 days."Just in time for Christmas hopefully. At least here I can always borrow alain's car if mine breaks or get him to take me to Super U and hire one for 5E per day, nothing fancy but at least its better than walking and doesn't break the bank. Mine was broke for two whole weeks last year I borrowed alain's when he wasn't using it to do the shopping. Other than fetching Sophie and Victorine for lunch on Mondays and tuesdays shopping is the only other time I use my car in the winter.
Beach trips on Wednesdays are the norm in spring and summer, except that next year Sophie will be at school Wednesday mornings when she moves up to big school.
Sharon wrote: "So even less driving for you. I use it for shopping and going to see my mum and dad."A bit like me. Occasional use only.
