What a wonderful word, that's me 'bordelique'. When i was a kid nobody bothered with sell by dates. I fancey a curry.

He is suffering from a cold at the moment just sent me a text asking if i would make him a coffee. No rest for the wicked. I shall enjoy my wine tonight.

Ha me too! In fact all of us are untidy!

Have one for me, if you have a lidl nearby pop in and see if they have a cimarosa pinotage - red wine wonderfully fruity and full bodied - sums me up to a tee that! Now tell me your son is not sending you text messages from upstairs so that you run around after him after putting you in the doghouse.... Mmm did he say coffee? I once put hot chilli powder in a customers mustard sauce because he kept feeling my barmaid up!! Payback, his face turned a lovely shade of puce! But he never complained and neither did he try it on with the barmaid again!

No sell by dates are highly overated - they are only there as a guide, I use stuff out of date and I was a chef, if you saw some of the stuff that went on in some kitchens you wouldn't ever eat out again! My daughter worked as a chef too and someone once burned the petit fours so Jo threw them in the bin. The head chef took them out and scraped the burnt bits off and put them out for a wedding reception! Plus it was a memeber of the family who's wedding we were at - jo warned us not to touch the sausage rolls and petit fours!

Lol, revenge is sweet. I hope my partner doesn't suggest we eat out tonight. I never complain when we are out for those very reasons but my partner complains all the time.

I slapped two Yugoslavian soldiers round the face when travelling on an over crowded train from Zegreb too, I think Turin. We were all stood in the only available space outside a broken toilet, tired and hungry. Whenever a woman battled through the crowds to use the toilet they grabbed their boobs it was so embarressing. Without thinking i went up to them shouted at them in English and slapped them round the face. They looked bemused then luckily they laughed.

You were a chef, thats why you are a brilliant cook. I fancey muscles now in garlic sauce. I had better get ready I am hungry and thirsty.
Have a lovely night speak soon.

Ah, alas, no. Here it might be 10 degrees if we're lucky! Drama here yesterday afternoon my computer started smoking! Full of dust and dog hairs, it's been about 8 months since I opened it up and cleaned inside with the vacuum cleaner. Until yesterday afternoon that is.

Hi Tarian, yep like that here too! Roll on spring!

message 7167: by [deleted user] (new)

Not good when technology goes wrong. They should design them dog proof. You can buy vacuums that pick up dog hairs.

Hi Sarah, I am bored because i am not writing. When i know it is going to be stop, start it puts me off. I like to start and then keep going but there are so many mundane but pressing things that need doing this time of year. Nobody takes my writing that seriously so they are unwilling to take second place. The story in my head keeps nagging at me.

So bored at the weekend that we went and looked at camper vans. We pretended we were rich and looked in the most expensive. Wow I could live in one full time, much better than our tin can caravan.

message 7168: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Yes I sent for a brochure last year, well dreams cost nothing do they?

You are lucky if you only have one story in your head at once, I had a scary dream which was so vivid I woke up in a state of panic - two women trapped in a system of pipes and tunnels leading to a nuclear reactor they went for a walk and ended up exploring what the thought were caves, they had all the gear but somehow they ended up in the water intake system for the cooling of the reactor! They were racing against time too and then the alarm went off!

message 7169: by [deleted user] (new)

That sounds great Sarah, i would definately read that. You ought to write it. Perhaps you should go back to sleep and get the ending. I love dreams had lots of ideas from them.

Its a good job we both touch type! I am just making the dangly beady bits for 'the dress'! Prototype is almost finished just need to make the underskirt, a bit on the see through side, just like the real Dior dress! Sophie's friend said she wished she had a mum like me, and do I think there is any chance that she might be able to have a dress for her birthday for her monster high dolls!

I wanted to do that with Jo, but I don't think she has her mother's patience with the fiddly bits! Nor her skill with a sewing machine I'm afraid, and believe me it takes skill to manoevre a dress that size on a full size free arm sewing machine!

When I have the first couple finished I will dress Barbie and take photos!

do you think it would sell ater all how many mental folk out there of my age have the time or the patience to sew barbie clothes? I started designing and making them when I was 8! Maybe a master class or a video on you tube might work!

message 7180: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) You never know. You used to be able to just buy the clothes for barbie, but in all honesty I have not seen the clothes on sale for a long time. So for a different outfit, now you have to buy another doll. I think Monster high there are a few clothes you can buy but not much.

Sorry disappeared upstairs to finish the dresses now I have two finished except for the underskirts and one almost done.

I have seen clothes here for Barbie - for 1 dress handbag and shoes it is 8 to 10 Euros! The dressing room is 30 Euros and comes complete with three outfits I think!

So yes, I could probably make a nice bit on the side, I may have to next year to pay for Sophie's riding lessons as well as her school fees and books!

I usually make them and give them away, or like I did for the fireman as a prize and of course for Sophie. I have some to make and send to Grace, Chris's step daughter she's 6 and loves Barbie!

I started the black dress ready to send for your niece, I have the Jewellery to make and the ends to tie off and the frill to put on and then attach the lining. I am hoping to be able to send it this week, with a couple of other bits, it just depends how I get on!

message 7182: by [deleted user] (new)

Sarah you are so multi-talented. I think Sharon is right i think there would be a large demand for such items, amongst adults as well as children.

I haven't seen the seperate clothes for years either, I think it's like action man, you buy a certain theme. A con really.

I used to love all those tiny clothes when i was little. If i had a granddaughter I would buy them. I always like to buy children toys that i want to play with myself. Sophie is very lucky, she has a great mum.

Awe thank you, I love doing it Sophie has spirited both finished dresses upstairs on her dolls for the night I will capture them tomorrow morning and take a photo and put it on my photos, she is like wow mum, its almost like Charlize Theron's dress, look, look!

You're never to old to play with Barbie! I get to dress and undress them when I am making their outfits! That's what I'm missing, a grandaughter- I have Grace but she's not my flesh and blood, though she is treated exactly the same when it comes to gifts.

A barbie house, and a rocking horse, I would love a wooden rocking horse! Whereas Sophie would love a real one!

I have just been looking at wedding dresses to make for Barbie!

Lucky you, tonight I will be doing wat I did last night and the night before that watching television or sewing Barbie clothes!

I am going to photograph the two I have completed in a little while and put them on my photos.

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Yes I thought you would, I got a blue one for Jo and a red one for Aurore, Jo said she's not in to red! She likes girly pink in any shade!

Sophie and her friend Victorine have just spirited Barbie back upstairs to play at going to the film premiere. Lol one barbie has no underskirt to her dress (partly because I haven't made it yet) and is about to cause a sensation because you can see through the material!

Yep, how old is Barbie anyway she must be as old as me or thereabouts because I remember my cousin had a barbie and mum wouldn't buy me one!

The photos are up now!

message 7194: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I think she is in her mid to late 60's, if not older then that.

message 7195: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "I think she is in her mid to late 60's, if not older then that."

I know she's had her 50th birthday, she's younger than both me and Mrs Robinson she's just 53! Looking good at 53! Which is more than can be said for Mrs. Robinson so I'm told, she's apparently in need of a re-tread!

message 7196: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) They look great, I think Barbie needs a trip to the hair salon though - lol

message 7197: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "They look great, I think Barbie needs a trip to the hair salon though - lol"

The scary one with the red hair is Sam one of the Totally spies dolls, Barbie has a bigger bum than Sam and unfortunately I picked Sam up to use as the model. I'm hoping the Monster High dolls are a bit thinner around the bum, being dead and all that should help them lose the flab!....

I am making a new batch slightly bigger to take into account Barbie's fat ass!

message 7198: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) LMAO - Monster High hardly have an arse, so you are alright.

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "LMAO - Monster High hardly have an arse, so you are alright."

Oh good, I was a bit worried there, the black one is nearly finished like Sam's I just have to sew the frill and finish the beads and put the hooks and eyes on or the velcro, though with the tiny amount you need it doesn't hold that well. I should be able to get about 30 dresses out of each roll! What do you think people would pay for them? I don't want to over price them and then again I don't want to underprice them either!

These will last unlike the mass produced ones, Sophie has all the barbie clothes I first made her 4 or five years ago, except for the ones that have been misappropriated by her friends or Sophie has given them away!

They even withstand Leon playing with them, he loves to play with Sophie and the Barbies and the camping car!

message 7200: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) That's a tough one. You have to think about material and P&P. Going by what they charge for the real ones, get a price from that. But other then that, I wouldn't know.
