Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) It is very cold here today as well.

Nope, not yet! Maybe she's taken the hint!

Afternoon Trisha, cold here too, the fields have been white over all day and as it's now 4.30 in the afternoon it's only going to get colder I think. Just put a huge piece of wood on the fire, struggled to get it in too, should last the night!

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I've got it, she could be a rival "Madam" trying to close down their business, and gets up to all sorts ;o) etc - LOL

I think she is the reason Cassie breaks up with Rob Driscoll, she(the tart) seduces Driscoll and Helen overhears her bragging about her conquest and tells Cassie, who then cuts all ties with Driscoll after first confronting Mrs Robinson which ends up in a cat fight!

message 7057: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Oh I like it. I want Driscoll, only because I know what he looks like - Hmmmmm!

message 7058: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "Oh I like it. I want Driscoll, only because I know what he looks like - Hmmmmm!" I think I have to make Cassie and Helen a little younger, early forties I think, due to the ending which you haven't seen yet!

It will spoil the middle for you if I let you read it so for now it stays under wraps!

I'm glad! Alain woke up grumpy, you haven't washed up yet and why are all the lights on! Then he switches them off leaving me in the dark! I wouldn't mind but it's me paying the bill, thank god he didn't hear me tell Sophie to switch her heater on in her bedroom or he would have gone off at me for wasting my electric warming her bedroom!

She is supposed to be cleaning and tidying but I would bet a pound to a penny she's playing with Barbie!

I ordered her a Cloetta spelletta doll from Amazon.com last night after looking at the price on amazon france and nearly falling off my chair - 40 to 55 Euros for the same doll I paid $9.99 for lol as usual the postage and tax was more than the doll but even then it worked out at under 20 Euros!

It's a surprise - she got 20/20 in her French conjugaison, and that is no mean feat! Hopefully it's a carrot to get her to keep up the good work!

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Monst phoned me up earlier and said he is going to get gas, as the house is freezing. He left the heating on. It must be cold if he is feeling the heat. He is normally in shorts and a vest top.

What do you heat the house with at the moment? I am in a t shirt now, the house is starting to warm up nicely with that big lump of oak I slapped in the insert, by 8 o'lock I will have to go and sit in the kitchen or strip off!

message 7063: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) LOL, Well we have heating, but we also have an electric (real look) fire in the living room which we have on.

Can you not install a wood burning stove like we have or would the wood be cost prohibitive?

My Wouchers have arrived it is all as you said Darkangle. Christmas is coming together. Went to see mum and dad today he is 87 and looking very well. They always insist on cooking but they get very confused. They are so sweet and were both waving at the window as we left.

Very cold here, just got back from walking the dog.

I hope you are all well and that Sophie is feeling better.

Yes, she is fine still a bit itchy but she is back at school even though this morning the taxi didn't turn up to take her to school. We are on orange alerte for snow, we have had freezing rain which turned my friends courtyard into an ice rink, and there is no way she can get her car out. I took Sophie to school in 4 wheel mode and went to collect her daughter put one foot out the car and did a perfect impression of bambi in slow motion because my right arm was still in the seat belt which saved me from breaking anything. I just went limp and slid to the floor grazed my knee getting up but that's all.

I am cooking pork spare rib stew for lunch, my mum used to make it with dumplings, it was great on a day like today. We now have freezing fog too, it will be fun fetching Sophie at lunchtime!

message 7067: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Morning how's the weather with you, ours if naff! As you can see I impersonated Bambi earlier! I assembled my chair last night and I am now sitting comfortably in my big squashy comfortable chair, my Christmas present from Alain!

message 7068: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Morning,

It sounds like you have the weather we had yesterday and we have yours. Clear blue skies today, for how long I don't know. Hope you are not hurt too much.

Nah, grazed knee and probably a bruise on my hip, I went down in slow motion thanks to being attached to the seat belt which broke my fall! I have taken a paracetamol and disinfected my knee. Geraldine phoned when I got home to see if I was okay, she saw me getting up on my hands and knees and clinging on for dear life to the steering wheel to pull myself up!

I bet it was funny to watch!

message 7070: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Could have earn't yourself £250 if it was filmed and sent to You've Been Framed!

message 7071: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Isn't it always the case you never have your camera with you when you need it most! My neck is a bit sore and my leg is aching a bit no more acrobatics today for me. Next time Geraldine says her courtyard is icy I'll believe her!

Jo made me laugh too - I told her about the posh designer frock I have made for Barbie and she asked me to make her one too, now I am not sure if she means a dress for her or one for Barbie!

message 7072: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) LOL - make her both then she can decide!

message 7073: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "LOL - make her both then she can decide!"

Yes but she'll never get her bum in Barbie's dress!

Yes and no, you have two attributes Jo is sadly lacking, except when she's preggers! She once said it's my fault...duh even Sophie has bigger boobs than Jo now!

message 7076: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments I had better sort the pots out and peel some vegetables for the stew, sophie will have a Cordon Bleu, sweetcorn and chips for lunch and have her stew tonight when she gets in from school I will have to fetch her tonight too!

message 7077: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Don't know what we will have tonight, might do pie, mash and veg.

message 7078: by [deleted user] (new)

I live on a hill and hate walking down when it's icy as it's so trecherous. It's not good falling at our age. I would go dramatic and go for the sympathy vote and get everyone to run round after you for once.

Anyway, on a positive note, the book has arrived. So I shall take a look over it. Very exciting. Speak soon.

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "Don't know what we will have tonight, might do pie, mash and veg."

Well we will have stew when Alain arrives he is very late, which is understandable given the lousy weather, and they have snow in Cote D'Amour where he works!

My arm underneath is hurting where it was held firm by the seat belt, I always do that, and I never once thought it would save me from hurting myself. No bambi impressions at our age should be avoided at all costs! Sophie swept up todays pile of dog hairs and dust, it's amazing where it all comes from!

No, I'm far too old for acrobatics! Saved from serious injury by my seat belt which was round my arm as I got out of the car, and instead of falling flat on my face or worse I was lowered gently to the floor by the seat belt as if in slow motion! Would have made a great you've been framed clip!

Hi Trisha, Hi Sarah. Just been reading 'The Perfect Christmas Stuffing'. Has Alain read it? I hope he enjoys his stew.

He did enjoy it and he will probably have stew for supper too tonight, I won't but he hates to waste a good stew! No Alain hasn't read anything I've written, partly because I write in English and he can't read English. Not that he reads anyway except the sports page in the local newspaper!

I sent you a message on your page and have written a review. You will understand why i asked if he enjoyed his stew.

Well I'll be buggered! Occasionally and some things they will deliver to France some they won't and I end up paying postage! The doll in question was expensive in Amazon uk too! Ridiculous in Amazon France it doesn't make sense that I bought it for less than half price by going round the houses!

That's late for the little one, Sophie has been in bed for at least an hour by 10 at night and she is almost 11! Lol my eldest daughter wants me to make her a Christian Dior copy, Christian Dior is wasted on Barbie according to her!

message 7092: by [deleted user] (new)

Hi all, I put the review on Amazon UK can I do one for US as well?

Hi Eva, thanks for the kind words. Hope you are ok. I have been reading your book for most of the day and should get out of this chair and do some house work.

Thought the book great just right for Christmas. I shall put a review on goodreads when I have put the washing away. Everything is starting to build up.

Thanks for all the good advice i have received here. I shall try and call back later.

it is very late for the little one, she's only 3. I put her in bed at 8 and when her dad gets here i put her in the buggy, The way the crisis is going they can't really be fusy with their hours.

Yes I know what you mean, Jo, my eldest is working killer hours just so she can have 5 clear days (including the weekend) at Christmas. She started at 7 this morning till 7 this evening - and she is doing something I never thought she would - working with the elderly, handicapped and alzheimers sufferers, hard going! She text me the other morning to say she was doing the ironing for an old lady - she doesn't ever iron her own clothes!

I gave up ironing for writing, the only ironing I do is if we are going somewhere special that requires us 'uncrumpled' without waiting for the creases to drop out naturally with body heat!
