I disappeared I was watching a film a true story of a battered wife who eventually snapped and stabbed her husband 185 times and then buried him in the back garden for a week until the dog dug him up! She was found guilty and appealed and got her 25 year sentence reduced to 5 years. She's due out in 2014!

And whilst watching television I sat rugging well if I do a bit every night I stand a good chance of finishing it for next spring!

Wow Sarah, you have a big family. How old are your children? Mine are grown up to the rest of the world but revert back to being baby's when with me. You seem to have got christmas sorted. Childrens presents are way better than adults.

I am going to google rugging it sounds interesting. Maybe my rich sister would like one for xmas she could give me a donation towards my charity.

This one is really informative and make sure you get a hefty donation from her but will you have time enough its only 5 weeks or so until the dreaded day!

Lol not sure how that would tranlate -tarte au porcherie is about the nearest! Has a certain je ne sais quoi-n'est ce pas?

Well the two girls duly dispatched an individual shepherds pie each with peas, I always put tomatoes in with my shepherd it makes it really tasty! Perhaps you ought to try that with your pig stye pie though sliced apples or peaches would enhance the flavour too! Maybe serve it with home made peach chutney!

Jo took 6 jars back with her she is a chutney magnet! Must tell her how to make it that way I will be able to have some myself!

It is absolutely peeing it down here my drive is a marrass of mud and all because the owner was too mean to dig a drain for rainwater to the Fosse and put guttering up at the back of the house - luckily the garage is in between us and the water cos if not the whole of the back wall would be mouldy with the rain soaking into the wall!

What a plank he is, we have asked him to put guttering up, the roofer has told him he needs to put it up, I am still waiting for the plug behind my freezer to be fixed 2 years I have waited for that and there are tiles off the roof he gets over 5000 Euros a year in rent for this house and he won't do the repairs which would cost him less than 500 euros!
And he has 4 other houses he rents out!

The man is 78 years old isn't married, no children wtf is he going to do with all the money when he's dead? They don't put pockets in shrouds and there are no banks on the other side!

I just sneaked a taste of the sauce as I put it in the dish - really yummy and tomatoey (don't think that's an actual word but it sounds good)! No wonder the girls ate the lot, I had to kit Victorine ot with dry trousers and shoes today she has on her sisters jogging bottoms which are too long and were consequently wet up to the knees and her trainers are just flimsy tissue ones and soaked through. Luckily Sophie's feet grow quicker than she can wear her trainers out I gave her Sophies trainers which were too small!

Perhaps you should withold your rent until he fixes it all. My neighbours have the down pipe for both our houses but they don't clean their gutters, so it doesn't matter how many times I clean mine because theirs is blocked the water floods over mine.

Its been raining really hard all day here and there has been flooding in Scotland. It happens so frequently now nobody takes any notice.

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Morning all,

Its so wet and horrible today.

message 6534: by [deleted user] (new)

Hi Darkangel, same here it has been raining all night and the bottom of the roads flooded. Maybe our island will disappear under the weight of all the water.

I should write today, as weathers soooooo bad. Out with the girls tonight, probably more red wine but only couple of glasses. Got a lot to catch up with everyone is so busy with family and work.

When we were all made redundant, Jill started up her own gardening business, Mich went to work for a horse charity, Janet went back into schools at half her previous wage and I thought well at last I could write.

message 6535: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I would say that is the best time to write. I wish I had more time to write to be honest.

message 6536: by [deleted user] (new)

Although, I have no money, I am not unhappy being out of work. I love hiding away in my own world. The family aren't so happy about it both sons think I am lazey and should get a job. They have given me quite a lot of stick. I take it seriously like this is my job but nobody else does. It's not writing thats hard it's all the things that go along with it.

When I was working we used to say if the kids we worked with had a visible pain like a broken leg people would be more sympathetic but because their hurt was emotional and unseen people responded quite harshly. Its like that with writing, people can't see the hard work because its all internal.

message 6537: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) That is so true.

message 6538: by [deleted user] (new)

It would be so lovely to have a girly night out in a pub without having to speak French! To be able to have a laugh with a group of girls and not have all the men in the bar looking at you as if you were all on the game.

French men are bizarre they think the bars are their domain! Chauvinists, the majority of them, as I told Alain in England I can walk into a bar alone order a drink and not get badly thought of!

Yep people don't see the internal scars. One lucky 15 year old was kidnapped in the Var over a week ago now, they found her alive and well in the boot of a car that had been involved in a hit and run accident. They haven't said if the man had sexually assaulted her, who knows what is going through her mind. Her life as a normal teenager is over she will never b e the same carefree spirit again.

I get enough hassle from Alain about always being on the computer but as soon as he needs something photocopying for the house I'm wonderful. Grrr.... makes one so angry!

He is expecting to come back this lunchtime to one of his favourite meals Saucisse au Chou - he bought me the cabbage, the carrots the sausage and forgot the potatoes and I used what I had in the shepherds pie yesterday! So its sweet and sour chicken and rice instead!

Well I am always hoping for the diamond solitaire but that ain't going to happen unless I buy it myself!

So I am going to ask Santa for a new office chair, one with metal feet because the cheap plastic ones break after a few months.
