Any news from your sis with the cover?

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments The plasterer has finished at the house so now we have proper rooms, I have yet to see what the upstairs of the house looks like. I am scared of heights so I won't go up the ladder so all I get to see of it is on photos that Alain and Sophie take! The plumber is there next week and then they are pouring the second layer of the floor.

When you think the floor before was dirt and now we will have about 18 inches of cement in total between us and ground the damp course goes in this time and the insulation the next layer will be the final thin layer to level it off and then the tiles go down! Such a shame we won't be in for Christmas!

Cute, I will be sorting Hugo and Leons pressies next week I bough a weeble house for Hugo last year and a weeble car for his birthday not sure what to get them as Jo has loads of Leons toys from when he was little and I gave her loads of Sophie's stuff train sets and non girly stuff of course! I might get Leon a guitar like I bought Sophie a couple of years ago he's always playing with it when he's here - unfortunately Anthony Herves eldest lad broke one of the strings and didn't tell anyone.

How will you manage at Christmas without an oven? Surely it would pay you to buy a cheap one you could always sell it if you didn't want to take it back with you.

It is due to snow here on high ground (the Pyrenees and the Alps) today and over the weekend too!

message 6068: by [deleted user] (new)

Morning everyone. I have had a brilliant weekend. My son had his medal parade on Friday, it was very cold and the soldiers had to stand for about two hours, they were all stiff and going purple by the end of it. It is so fantastic to have all my family back together again.

Plus, the sun shone on Saturday and I took the dog for a long walk. She hasn't had a long walk for ages and went completely potty. She was definately smiling.

Hope all you American friend's wont be sitting in the path of that vast storm. If you are I wish you well and take care.

Is your son back for good now Tarian? Glad you had a lovely day you will have to put some photos up on your page! We had snow here on Saturday just a light flurry and then the sun came out but worrying all the same!

They had forcast snow for the Alps, who moved them to Brittany?

Morning

I was just about to say Alain's gone out and he comes back! Back in five minutes! Safe-he just dropped something off/picked something up and went again! Phew, that was close, Sophie is upstairs cleaning her room ready for when Jo comes Wednesday even though she knows when Leon gets up there it will be upside down in minutes- he's worse than Sophie but then he is only four and a half!

Jo found a ghost costume for Hugo! So they will both trick or treat me on Wednesday night! I'll take photos-need new batteries for camera beforehand.

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Morning,

I went to the theatre on Saturday, we watched Scrooge with Tommy Steele, it was absolutely fantastic.

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Darkangel wrote: "Morning,

There are no theatres nearby and then again it would be in bloomin French so no point there are enough theatricals in the house with Sophie without paying to see them!

We are at the everybody hates me stage followed by the stomping upstairs and the slamming of the door, Kevin the teenager at 10!

Hey did you look at the hypnosis thing I sent to you the other day?

message 6074: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I did look at it but have not downloaded it yet, just have not had the time but I will do.

I owe you an apology too, I have had you OXO cubes for a few weeks but keep forgetting to bring them with me to post, will try and post before the end of the week. I got you beef, chicken, lamb and vegetable, hope thats ok.

No you don't you have work and a life too but that's great let me know how much I owe you I can send you a cheque or pay direct into a bank accont whichever you prefer. I just looked at the email-it's quite in depth and absolutely correct the longer it takes the more you worry, the more you worry the longer it takes.

message 6076: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) That is exactly true. You don't owe me anything. They wasn't very expensive, so just enjoy the little treat ;o)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Darkangel wrote: "That is exactly true. You don't owe me anything. They wasn't very expensive, so just enjoy the little treat ;o)"

Thank you I will I am going Nozzing this week I'll have a look and see what I come up with!

Alain bought home a rabbit last night so looks like at sometime this week we will be eating Lapin au Pruneaux or rather they will- give me a chicken leg any day!

So far this year we have no pheasant - but I still have one or two in the freezer I must cook! I would like a nice leg of wild boar for Christmas and in some parts of France they are over-run with them here they are few and far between and have to be killed on an organised group hunt. Though saying that they killed 3 a couple of weeks ago!

Get some Goji Berries to munch on daily whilst listening to the hypnosis tapes they are supposed to be very good for you, antioxidants, good for circulation, your eyes, legs and bits and packed with vitamin C! Ward off the pesky colds and flu, though I used to drink a veggie oxo cube every day when I was at work and believe it or not I rarely had a cold!

message 6078: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I will have to order my meat for christmas soon. Even though we are at my mums for Christmas day this year, I cook another christmas dinner on Boxing day for me and Monst, just the two of us, with candles etc (can be quite romantic) ;o)

We are going to Normandy for Christmas that will be hectic - I could try for romantic dinner by candlelight at the New Year but we will probably have Jo and the kids here too! I warned Sophie not to let the cat out the bag this year to mother - that we won't be here for Christmas.

message 6081: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Darkangel wrote: "Oh dear, how will she take that?"

Not sure, she sulked two years ago when we did it, and again when we went to England last year. Changing the subject I hope Lori is somewhere safe with Hurricane Sandy on its way,I sent a message to her email but had no reply.

Yep they reckon it will be a replay of the perfect storm - I hope she found somewhere to live and is safe and well, though I would have thought she might have contacted me to let me know she was okay. I think she's still on the streets....

Yep, I sent her another message asking her to at least contact me to say she was alive and well.

On a lighter note I sent you halloween recipes-punch with a frozen hand in, spider cup cakes, and cookie fingers! Couple that with eyeball cakes which are dead easy to do? Pardon the pun- white iced cup cakes with a coloured gum ball and black iced pupils, a bit of red gel icing to draw bloodshot lines or a cocktail stick dipped in red colouring and left to streak the icing!

message 6087: by Sharon (new)

I just checked there's nothing from her she has a lot on her plate at the moment, her ex is being an arsehole, which is nothing new. She wants to divorce him but without money to pay the lawyer she's stuck with him - I can do the divorce papers for her FOC but she would need to go before the family division for custody and maintenance and then there's the problem of assests held by the family company of which my sister is a shareholder.

She was looking for work in the evening from home so we may have to do it ourselves I'm afraid.

I sent you a photo you can use if you like a nice snowscene of mine!
