Morning,Well so far its dry here today, cold but dry my knee is giving me jip, I had to give in and take a painkiller this morning. Alain's fault he had me pulling trailers filled with straw and I slipped in the mud and twisted it!
The dog is better now, and touch wood house trained at the same time, poor thing had his nose in pooh so many times he daren't do it in the house again!
I said to Alain maybe now mother would like him and he made excuses for her not to have him! So it looks like I'm stuck with him! (The dog that is!)
Morning, same here, dry but cold. Not good about your knee. I will be taking a pain killer in a moment, headache already and not even started work yet. Typical Monday blues.

Oh I don't have the Monday blues but I will be glad when it's Friday, Alain is on holiday next week for 2 weeks, and Sophie the following week for 10 days, their autums break used to be 2 weeks until they cut down the school week to 4 days!
The pain killer I took is supposed to be strong - its numbed it slightly I can still feel it twinge every so often, need to take another and as long as I don't drive I'll be fine - I was hoping it would knock me out for a while, I didn't sleep well last night. I watched a film on the Holocaust based on a true story and it upset me, Hitler ordered the evacuation to Poland of 5000 Jews from Paris, men women and children all but 2 children survived, the rest were cremated. Some of the French policemen guarding them were as bad as the German soldiers.
I hate things like that, I will not even watch Schindler's list even though I absolutely love Liam Neeson.
Darkangel wrote: "I hate things like that, I will not even watch Schindler's list even though I absolutely love Liam Neeson."That made me cry too! I watched a television film a long time ago about the same thing, and at the end I was angry that the german soldiers were not tortured and killed the same way they had tortured the Jews. Their families should be ashamed of them.
Darkangel wrote: "I agree. I refuse to watch films like that."I should refuse to, I don't want Sophie to have to learn German either.
Darkangel wrote: "WIll she have to when the time comes or can she choose?"Not sure, she may have a choice between German and Latin or Breton, she's going to the private catholic school in town she won't be the only English child there here 3 friends are already there! I want her to have the opportunities I didn't and a better start in life.
Darkangel wrote: "That's a good thing. Does she know what she wants to do, later in life?"She says she wants to be a vet but that is a long, hard slog, the training for vets is longer than a doctor! I changed my mind 3 times at her age and then did something totally different! I think that we will just have to wait and see how academic she really is when she's at big school - she's interested in computers like her big brother
Darkangel wrote: "Ah, so the world is her oyster."Yep, and don't forget that she will have at least four languages under her belt too! That in itself opens up all kinds of opportunities, she has to pick up her English to conversational level with me, she is fluent in French, hopefully Spanish and Italian though Japanese would be handy for her to learn too!
Morning Trisha! Hey I've seen you were talking about holocaust films, which one was it? I resently read the boy in the stripe pyjamas, it was ok; the film was better. I love history stuff, even if it's horrible. Sometimes I get obssesed and need to find out all about it. Like right now with the suffragettes.

Le Rafle with Jean Reno not sure of its translation without getting the dictionary out. I didn't sleep well because of it, the French were as bad as the Germans, putting the boot in and beating the jews, even pregnant women what made it worse was knowing it actually happened.
