Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) LOL - I want gothic wedding with a castle - don't think that will happen.

Eva King | 1071 comments Well, you won't believe this but my story is not very romantic. We were in Edinburgh (where I went to college) celebrating student loan day and went to a gay bar because drinks are cheap and you can have a laugh without any threat of male bravado.
We were fairly drunk, I was having so much fun that I proposed to him, he said yes and after that is a blur. The next morning I woke u with six on my hair, he bent over me with a glass of water and an aspirin and said, Lets get you a ring! Of course my family think it's a different story...lol

message 5603: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Well it was romantic in a sort of way - lol

Just got my edits back, not too many for me to think over. Do they go back to Emme again after that or do you need them then?

Eva King | 1071 comments I think if we were in las Vegas instead of Edinburgh we problably would've been married that same night.

Yes kids can be a problem too, luckily Alain dotes on Sophie and I think he loves Eclair and Hugo more than me at times! Well maybe not Hugo (Stitch) not at the moment as he had to clean up after him before he went to work this morning - he should be so lucky I have cleaned up after him three times so far each time we get a bit nearer the door! The annoying part is I had taken him outside to play and he didn't feel the urge then!

what tax thing is that?

message 5626: by [deleted user] (new)

Must have been love at first sight and by the time you were sick he was probably blinded by his ownhang over. I think its all quite romantic, if he has seen you at your worst first off. Then it must be up hill after that.

A tropical beach with big surf it is, I met get more guests that way. Not many people would want to be stood by the English sea in the wind and rain. If that were the case we would all have to wear black to match the weather.

Lol I learned to surf in the rain, drew a crowd too, well when 10 hunky lifeguards are giving lessons, mean buggers wouldn't lend me a wet suit - said they didn't want two lumps imprinted into it - so I wore a bikini bottom and a t shirt the same colour. What I didn't realise was it went transparent when it was wet and no one thought to tell me, not even my dad!

I must have looked real attractive with my long hair all over my face coughing and spluttering every time I fell off!

Well because it's self publish you have to pay tax on the profits, being an american company I have to fill up a tax form so i don't get taxed for it. I thought that maybe it would be barnardos that would have to fill the form but createspace said it has to be the erson that donates the money, just waiting for an email from barnardos with how they would prefer to get paid, bank trasnfer or cheques and the address

Eva King | 1071 comments Once I have it all set up I'll post the user name and password so we can all check how much we've sold, only if my details are not on it...

message 5630: by [deleted user] (new)

Ha!ha!I have been in similar situation snorkling in France. The thing is when I say surfing I am not actually meaning surfing as you know it. My kind of surfing requires much more skill and the tricks are spectacular. Some people might call it body boarding but we have less hanging about than the surfer dudes, who are mostly power napping on their boards. And you ought to see some of my somersaults.

Eva King | 1071 comments Here is the email

Hello Eva,

Thanks for writing back to us.

I reviewed our previous correspondence and your query. I'm really sorry that our message wasn't more clear. I understand that you are concerned about tax implications. The tax details will have to be in your name or the donor organization and not in the name of the beneficiary charity.

I hope that this helps to explain things more clearly. If you have any further queries, please feel free to contact us at anytime.

Did I solve your problem? Let us know here: https://www.createspace.com/Special/L...

Best regards,

Nadeem

Okay I sent you an email you need to enter Barnardos as the receiver of royalties and being A UK Charity they are tax exempt due to the treaty signed by UK with the US. But you are right their letter is as clear as mud because later on in the first reply they contradict themselves! Talk to Barnardos ask them to furnish you with the necessary details for their tax exemption if they don't want to help they don't need the money that badly and I say we find another charity that will help! What does everyone else think about it?

Why we aren't recieving anything - the whole thing is more trouble than it's worth perhaps we should just forget it, have you spoken to Barnardos?

Check out Amazon, maybe they will be more helpful but I still think you should speak to Barnardos publicity department!

message 5638: by Eva (new)

Eva King | 1071 comments I've checked lulu, they only want the tax details if you make so much money, so I think we are using lulu, i'll give them all the details of the charity and they can deal with it if we make tons of cash. What do you think?

Go with Lulu whatever makes it less hassle for you, I'm all for an easy life! When I said forget it I meant giving it up for charity if we were going to end up paying tax on something we weren't receiving!

Exactly let them sort that out, they can claim that back from HM Inspector of Taxes! Looks like you had better start brushing up your French the new tax laws here for people who earn over a million a year are ridiculous at 75% of their earnings - I told Alain when I fall into this bracket we leave and buy a castle in Scotland and he can go grouse hunting on the glorious 12th!
