Lol even the officals who have been telling us the end of the world is nigh are now back pedalling and saying they misinterpreted the Mayan predictions! The wet weather is just unfortunate we have it too!

I prefer to do things the hard way, a creative writing degree will help me do what? I prefer to spend the time I would spend getting a certificate finishing another book! Keeping doing what I have been keeping doing will help me improve, I can see how much I have improved since I started 2 years ago writing seriously. Too old to teach this new dog tricks!

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I just want to actually achieve a degree, never went to university and it's the only thing that interests me. I will still keep writing as per usual - well providing I can actually get some done that is.

Exactly! Theres no point studying something you are not interested, you'll end up quiting. I love reading, and Ive checked the reading material of open uni and I've read most of it already. Is just that i can't afford 700 pounds each year! What uni is it that they do creative writing?
Have you got a degree Sarah and Trisha?

message 5360: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Unfortunately that is what I will have to pay, but will be doing it as a home study course.

Open Uni has creative writing as part of english literature, which uni will you use? Maybe they are cheaper?

I never went to University either, my dad wouldn't agree to paying out for it, I wanted to be a journalist, that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. He thought he was right, I went ahead and proved him right to spite him and in doing so spited myself!

message 5363: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Not sure yet, I have to get through the a'level first then I will shop around.

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments If Sophie is intelligent enough to go to university she will, how I will afford it I don't know - I'll worry about that when the time comes. I won't have Sophie disadvantaged like I was. Lol she will be the first member of our family to go to University! If girls are accepted into Gordonstoun in Scotland Sophie has the right to go there, a family right on my husbands side.

Good if you wanted an in depth reading you will need to go to Numerology.com I think I paid about 45 dollars but I got loads of freebies including the generator which I use with my characters to create life like characters with all the character traits I need!

No I learned to be patient long ago, everything comes to those who wait!

I am having a blonde morning made more difficult by my friend Geraldine her printer packed up so she bought a letter here for me to print trouble was the idiot that had typed it had oversized it and it no longer fit the paper without chopping off the top and the bottom and it wouldn't let me alter it.

I have had to copy and print the letterhead using the photo then adding the address seperately and I am trying to print the text onto the letterhead now - I have sent her a copy of the letterhead that way this problem shouldn't happen again!

message 5384: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I am at the moment having a quiet day, I know I should not say that out loud as it is bound to change now. Oh blopvde moment - I can read chapter 37 - YAY

message 5385: by [deleted user] (new)

Over a week ago I finished writing my latest book and feel bereft. I also have a cold and am feeling rough. I don't know what to do with myself now. Perhaps I will just go to gym and chill out listening to music on i-pod or should I just have another duvet day.

I have finished being blonde and have managed to sort out the printing of her letter after an awful lot of hooha!

I had to remake the letter heading from scratch!

The woman who wrote it is obviously blonder than me!

message 5387: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Tarian, I would have a duvet day if I were you.

message 5388: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes I think you might be right perhaps I shall clean out some draws been meaning to do that for ages. Then I might go back to bed and read. Hope you are all well and haven't yet got this cold.

I would have another duvet day watch old movies! Make yourself a hot toddy or A maderian cold cure 1 part honey 1 part lemon juice 2 parts 50% proof white rum melt honey in lemon juice in micro wave add rum drink whilst warm not hot just as the vapours are rising two of those and then go to bed. you will perspire lots but tomorrow morning you will feel better I promise!

message 5390: by Sharon (new)

Morning Eva or should I say afternoon - yes it is, but the 'La Poncha' the maderian cure is made with 50% proof white rum, lemon juice and honey on a 2 part rum to one part each of honey and lemon juice and no water!
