Eva King | 1071 comments you've been busy this weekend! My son stusrt had a massive fall of the stairs on the way to school this morning, he had a bump the size of an egg on his head and around his eye, i think he will have a black eye...at home now, thinking of taking him to school in half an hour...

Might be wise to keep him home with a bang on the head- keep a watchful eye on him for signs of concussion- play the guess how many fingers can you see game and is this picture fuzzy or clear game! Best to be safe, and don't let him fall asleep if he complains of feeling dizzy or vomits hospital asap and have him checked over. You know all this being a nursery nurse, I know, but you would be surprised at the number of people who don't have a clue!

Hows you other than that Eva? I had my second and hopefully final pass of edits from Emme last week, was the stuff I sent through from my sister helpful for Ella? She has designed me a Christmas card using one of my photos!

I forwarded to ella, see what she says. I think he is fine, is playing with his psp so no problem with the vision, also he has been munching on raisins so I think he is ok. He thinks he is cool because he looks like a boxer.
I'm fine, really proud of myself becuase I went running with hubby on friday and managed to run 3 kilometers and walked another 3...
I haven't had my story back from Emme, hopefully i'll get it back soon.

Ah bless, the walking wounded! And well done you, I'm not equipped for running, my boobs are too big and if I ran I would end up with not one but two black eyes!

Lol with all the damp weather I'm lucky if my knees will allow me to walk let alone run!

No Sharon was waiting on hers too I believe. What are we doing as regards the thank you page - we surely don't all need to do one? We only really need to thank Emme and Ella and all the people that have contributed so really that should be done by the organiser - which is you! When do you need my bio? I am using the general bio from TBL!

That is so not fair! It's about 18 degrees and 50 cms of rain in the last week it threw it down all day Saturday!

message 5317: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) It poured all night Friday, was pretty dry on Saturday but not very warm.

Made flapjacks with Renee yesterday, certainly cheered her up a bit, still a bit bunged up.

Yep and I have to fetch the girls today Geraldine is going to Romania on Thursday to bring back their stray dogs - as if there aren't enough ill treated animals in France already - I hope she's had her Rabies jabs because who knows what these dogs have contracted! It's madness, I love my two, but I don't feel the need to fill my house with waifs and strays. There were times this year she has struggled to feed her family, I really don't undertand some peoples priorities! Her daughter went to school with trousers with holes in the knee that were too short for her last week!

message 5319: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) That is not good at all. How long have these dogs been strays out in Romania?

I promised Sophie we would make something or other in the holidays- Lol I remembered it was waffles! I have a waffle maker which I have yet to use!

message 5321: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Oh I would love one of them, actually I think Renee would love me to have one of them - lol

No idea, she keeps trying to rope me in to help with her association and I pretend I haven't heard her, she tried to volunteer me to make dog coats for lurchers last month. She's got Bob Hope of that! I have a book to finish and painting to do still!

your wish is my command - you will have to change the plug - just cut the wire and change the plug unless you have a shaving adapter!

Fresh waffles brushed with home made chocolate fudge sauce sliced banana and squirty cream sprinkled with roasted nuts and more fudge sauce poured over!

message 5324: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) OH no, thats ok. You make your waffles with Sophie, I will get one maybe after christmas in the sales ;o) I do love the sales in January.

Don't be silly, it can be Renee's Christmas treat, one you can both have the pleasure of using! They aren't expensive here, should be arriving real soon in Aldi and Lidl or Noz!

She can make fresh waffles for you and her dad for breakfast at the weekends! Just make the batter up the night before! You can make potato waffles too I think-yum with egg and bacon and baked beans!

message 5326: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) We have lidl and Aldi, to post it will cost a fortune.

No it won't I can use one of the boxes from La post I'll weigh mine and see how much it weighs and send it the cheapest way! I'm sending you a recipe for potato waffles! By courier might be the best option!

Lol I could have made these for the girls today if Alain had remembered to bring me some potatoes I asked him on Friday, Saturday and twice yesterday he was an arsehole again this weekend staying out with the builder until after 10.30 Friday and Saturday night - I told him next Saturday he can fend for himself Sophie and I are going out, I'm going to take her to the Pizza place in Ploermel and I'm not inviting him, he can look after the cleaning up after the dog!

Revenge is a dish best served cold - He promised to play poker with Sophie on Saturday night too and he broke another promise to watch her ride!

I told him off, you should never break a promise, expecially not to a child. He went to bed alone I stayed up till 1 watching television!

Yep! Me neither, mind I haven't tried I don't like playing cards, playing with my sister was enough to put anyone off bad loser, and she cheated!

message 5336: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Snap and blackjack is about my limit.

message 5337: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Darkangel wrote: "Snap and blackjack is about my limit."

I can play rummy and the one with 10 cards it could be brag snap, blackjack and patience, I am a very quick learner usually winning if we ever played for money which used to annoy pappy Ted! Another bad loser I'm afraid!

I can read a pack of playing cards as Tarot cards I wanted my own proper deck but haven't been able to find any - though I haven't looked on line I should imagine I could find some if I looked hard enough as long as it came with the explanations of the cards a beginners guide to predictions!

I have got my first cold of the year. I had forgotten how rough they make you feel and it is raining yet again. There is something wrong with this weather. I woner if it had anything to do with the volcanic eruption in Green Land. Historically, the weather is often very wet after eruptions. Iether that or the world really is going to end in 2012. Oh happy days.

Because you want to get stuff done

message 5349: by Eva (new)

Almost finished my first module, yippeee!
