She is not that far in front of me. I have nothing against age, but I think I am starting to feel it - lol
Darkangel wrote: "She is not that far in front of me. I have nothing against age, but I think I am starting to feel it - lol"With all the damp weather my knees are giving me jip, and Alain's neck and back are hurting him!
We need putting in a sack bag and shaking up between the two of us they might retrieve one complete working model!
My fingers are that cold I'm shivering it's probably warmer outside in the sun than inside the house! Time to light the fire I think.
Darkangel wrote: "Morning, Same here. Typical, I was getting blown down the road to the station this morning."I have just woken up I sat on the sofa with the dogs and fell asleep! I'm cold now though! Brr... The Yorkshire Fluffball has finally fingers crossed got the message no mess so far today! I may make up a story for Hugo and Leon about the adventures of Hugo, the Yorkshire Fluffball!
Yes, I am here. Real name Sharon, but there were 3 of us called sharon so we took nicknames so not to confuse anyone. Sarah here is also a Sharon, English but lives in France.
Yeah, we are normally chatting away here everyday, if we go quiet, we are either working or we have not been receivng notifications. So how are you?
I feel old reading this I am 52 both my sons are adults. The oldest one is back from Afghan soon. It is so great to find some UK authors or anyone from the UK.
I started out on the KDP forum, mostly US and it is so back stabbing I was put off.

We don't do back stabbing here. Don't feel old, I am 36. There are a few of us older ones in here. Some are young but very mature for their age.
Where do you live in Essex? My parents moved every one-two years but my mum was born in Southend. I lived in Saffron Walden, Bilaricy (can't remember spelling), Harlow and a few others I can't remember the names of at the moment.
I ran away from home at 16 and ended up in a hostel in Notting Hill, then moved to Crystal Palace where I went to Camberwell art school. Then to the Clapton pond area of Hackney and the the last place I lived was Kingston. Now I am in Bristol and this is now where I have lived the longest.
I really wish I could find out the name of that school.

I live not far from Southend. I live in Stanford Le Hope. Can you remember roughly where the school was or what letter it began with?
Some how I have been talking to myself as your replies didn't show up but I have got them now. Its so lovely to meet you all, sorry for being slow on the uptake.
My real names Liz, Tarian is the name of a friends horse.

I called it junior house school but that wasn't its name, I think it might have been a quaker school.

Lol someone nearer my age Liz, Hi I'm Sarah, 56 widow, mother of 3-2 dogs the chickens have gone, Kentucky fried, Coq au vin, curry, roast and soup have been put out to pasture with Alain's (my man) mother's chickens!
Press reply then we should get notifications to say you are online but they don't always work!
Darkangel wrote: "We don't do back stabbing here. Don't feel old, I am 36. There are a few of us older ones in here. Mostly answering questions. Nice to get praise too!
Where has this morning gone? I have still to do the dishes and have a shower! The Yorkshire Fluffball is fast asleep on a coushion on the sofa, eclair is fast asleep in his chair sleep is contagious here today it seems!
Darkangel wrote: "Not had mine back yet, hope it's not lost in the post bag."check your spam emails to! I gave Emme my gmail address or rather Sarah's email address! The publishers I sent GOD too aren't interested said it requires too much interaction from the readers.... Hmmm interactions/interact was one of the words I was thinking of using in Marlene's dialogue - miss prudish, lights off, nightie rolled up, no licky naughty bits of either gender!
So how can you 'interact' with a book....American pie way maybe!
I will thank them for their time.....
Darkangel wrote: "No check my spam every day and that is all it is, spam."Darkangel wrote: "LOL - clearly they never read Fifty Shades."
Lol no, I did warn them it was a little on the H>O>T side, perhaps they misconstrued the word hot?
I'm not letting it get to me, still hoping for a miracle coming in the form of agent representation!
Spam fritters - that's what my mum used to make with luncheon meat - or just fry it instead of bacon and serve it to us kids with beans - berrrrrk.... I hated every greasy mouthful, that and mums winter saturday lunch treat of instant mashed potatoes and vegetable or oxtail soup poured over it - enough to put you off soup for life pairing it with instant mash!
As you see my culinary talents don't come from my mother! (Sorry mum if you're reading this over my shoulder I'll duck now)

Hi Sarha,
I am on here avoiding doing a re-read of my latest book before I send it off to the editor. She can't look at it until the 16th, so I am trying to get it as near perfect as possible first but it is hard reading over a book when you already know every word in it. I suppose I had better get back to it. It has been brilliant chatting to you all I shall check back in this evening. Although I forgot, it's Friday pub night so it might be tomorrow morning now.
Have a great day all, (sunshine tomorrow)

Yep good luck with that, what name do you use when you write we can have a look on Amazon next time we go there on the book hunt - my book is on Amazon, Waterstones, Smiths etc. my profile picture is my cover The Thin Blue Line its title!
Darkangel wrote: "LOL. I used to have spam fritters at school - I agree YUK"All that artery clogging saturated animal fat... enough to make us all turn vegetarian!
Darkangel wrote: "True. Yuk..."Talking of artery cloggin I'm having steak and chips for lunch! Really healthy with a nice green salad and Camembert to follow!
One of the candidates made deep fried camembert on masterchef last night - that was a hit with the French in the Restaurant - they had never had it deep fried before - there is an art to it - keep it in a very cold fridge or freezer for a while once breaded that way it doesn't melt in the pan! Served with warm Cranberry sauce mixed with a little port! and a green mixed salad!
Darkangel wrote: "I am having left overs. Perfect."Alain is cutting the fillet steak up as I type! All 3 Kilos of it!
Darkangel wrote: "Just had my pork spag bol."Ooh that is so wrong, you put beef in spag bol! lamb for Moussaka and veal for spring rolls - prawns too! and pork. Lol the first time I ate veal chops I thought they were pork chops, there is very little difference in taste or colour but one helluva difference in their price!
I can buy a kilo of pork chops here for 2,50 but veal are 12,50!
Trisha wrote: "It's nice but it also means my writing gets interrupted alot"Darkangel wrote: "Not too bad thanks, keep looking out at the horrible grey sky. Hows you?"
Morning Trisha,
Iknow the feeling my desk is accross from the television and as soon as Sophie comes home from school on it goes, impossibe to concentrate with stupid French cartoons blasting away in the background, its enough to drive a person to drink!
I'll have to remember that for next year! Salmon neither but you do like prawns and white fish yes? chicken Turkey Pork and Rabbit too? How about duck, and pheasant and Guinea Fowl? Highly unlike there will be any Wild Boar or Roe Buck in the freezer unless we go to Normandy and drive through the woods!
Darkangel wrote: "I don't mind Duck, never had pheasant or Guinea Fowl."Pheasant is nice, we don't hang it for days it's plucked and drawn the same day so it isn't gamey and the Guineau fowl are a bit like up market chicken! A cross between duck and chicken! And home raised so you know they are cared for chickens and Guineau fowl!
