Darkangel suffers from headaches too, why don't you take a look into herbal remedies though a trick someone told me to try was to massage the skin in between you thumb and index finger and the pain should subside - reflexology try it and see if works!

And this one too Trisha - An infusion of sweet basil twice a day seems to be a good cheap cure with few associated side effects! Must be fresh basil! you can cultivate it on the window sill in the kitchen.

No problem I understand your pain, I used to have bad headaches with my sinuses, the worst lasted for 3 days and nothing I took would ease the pain in the end I had a large whisky or two and massaged my hand, a combination of the whisky, pills and massage must have done something because the next day it had gone!

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Morning

I'm tired again this morning, I should have made an normal coffee instead of decaf today Friday is the hardest day of the week. Lol at least tomorrow I don't have to be up until 9.30 ish, later if Alain takes Sophie to the stables!

The plasterer telephoned last night and is starting work at the house next Thursday the electrician starts Monday. Alain was calmer, more relaxed unlike the mad puppy who is chasing his tail and running madly around the house so much so Eclair has come and hidden under my desk!

message 5011: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Morning
Oh poor eclair. I am just glad it is Friday.

Yes and today he is being good, fingers crossed he's got the message no puddles and piles this morning, he cried when he wanted to go out.

When we are are the new house they will be outside most of the day the whole garden will be fenced off effectively blocking all escape plans! All I have to do now is find a way to stop him biting when he gets excited lol I renamed him Stitch as in Lilo and Stitch!

I'm going to get a muzzle and every time he bites he'll be put in it! I am going to have to buy a cage for transporting him too he goes completely mental in the car!

Yes well, its very difficult to drive when a Yorkshire fluffball launches himself at your face licking you to death! I am tweaking Helen and the constables sex scene, you are going to love it, yesterday I tweaked Cassie and Driscolls scene and when I am finished tweaking their nibbles and dobbles I'll let you see what I've done, and I promise you won't be disappointed!

I have just transferred the left overs from my sausage casserole of yesterday to the microwave and whilst I was doing it the perfect ending popped into my head, I am now going to get it down onto paper before I forget it. It will be a surprise and tha't all I am going to say!

message 5017: by Sharon (new)

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 104 comments BUM!!!!!

I have this big complicated plot for my series. Everytime I go hmm way to complicated and decide to change things to try and make it easier I end up unhappy and change it back. Does that seem like I should go with what I first had and just work around that.

message 5025: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Yes, Always go with your first instincts. You can always use the other idea for a different story.

Afternoon Eva, Yes its hard work the job of the unpaid tourist guide, especially when you've seen it all before! I try to take Jo and the children to new places for all of us, which is easy seeing as I don't go very far these days because I'm alway writing. I have another chapter of GOD done and I tweaked Helen and Cassie's sex scenes for the better I think I'll send them over for you both later in the day when I'v finished writing the end of GOD.

I know, I'm strange, but the ending suddenly popped into my head and it's a pearler and no you can't see it not until I get to the end, and yes I know I'm a spoil sport but it will spoil the rest of the story for you!

message 5027: by A.L. (new)

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 104 comments Yeah. I just need to tinker a few things, I may do a novella after my WIP to introduce some new characters.

Keep them both for now, you may find a way to incorporate one into the other. Have you tried printing the story so far off in draft and reading it through with both scenarios? It may help!

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 104 comments The dilemma I have is currently my MFC has a child but this does limit her going out adventuring however there are future things I have planned around that. I was going to change it to in theory give me more scope but I am not sure it does. Of course she wouldn;t take the child but she can get a wet nurse if needed and the child will never be alone. I think it makes it more urgent that they fix things for the child.

I am intending to bring in more characters anyway so that may be a good time to do it, I amay well have her husnabd disappear and so she has to fix things instead of relying on him. The BIG BIG plot I can work in as I go.

I add new characters as I go and I also try to bring a few old faithfulls through from other books, tying them all in together like an extended family, that's how I think of my characters, my extended family, that may be why they seem to me to be alive.

The big plot you should have written down somewhere, a synopsis of what you expect to happen, it's not written in stone and can be changed to accomodate sudden obstacles and dead ends, try not to kill too many characters in one book as bringing them back to life in a later book can cause confusion to your readers. Only kill off people who have outived their usefulness! Think of it as voluntary euthanasia!

Hahah not planning to kill anyone, not yet anyway. I have a overall plot written down in one form or another.

Yes killing them off and then bringing them ack makes it like a saop opera.

Did you try the basil infusion yet, you should be able to buy it from the market I suppose dried Basil would work to if it was not old stock!

It's not arrived here yet, I think it's scheduled for the winter - not sure if I want to watch it now, I suppose it depends whether its in English or not! I somehow can't get JR talking French straight in my head and how will Sue-Ellen slur her words in French!

message 5038: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) LOL - to be honest, I have not bothered. I think things like that are best left in the 80's.

Maybe the acting may have improved with age? I'm surprised you aren't trying to pump me for information on the ending, it is going to be a cliffhanger at the end!

Yes you do don't you, don't worry it will kill me not to tell you or ask what you think about the idea, but I know if I let you see it now it will spoil the rest of the story. Right I'll go back and take a last look at chapter 3 and 4 and if there is nothing I want to change you can have the abridged version as a treat!

Lol They may not be final, that depends on Emme and her lines of doom!

Sorry, but I am not counting my chickens either, she may find fault with the changes I made, she's a perfectionist, like me is Emme which is good.

message 5046: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Then at least we know she will be thorough.

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Darkangel wrote: "Then at least we know she will be thorough."

Yep, that she will! Alain just came in with a pet carrier for Hugo, only trouble is its too small, he has no room to move and taking him any distance in that would be cruel! So tomorrow I am going to look for a cage to put in the back of the car! He bought a harness too with no instructions on how you fix it to the dog, talk about the Krypton Factor!

How wonderful is the internet there was a how to put your dog in a harness video so that's that sorted-just the cage I found one for 26 Euros on line but the want 14 euros to deliver it cheeky buggers I'll go into pontivy tomorrow with Sophie and 'Stitch' in his harness belted in with the seat belt. Ha thought he'd put one over on me did he!

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Eva wrote: "I'm doing the changes for Emme, god! does anyne else hates editing? By the way, what does it mean paragrahs indents?"
Morning Eva
This is a paragraph indent, usually of 5 or more spaces in letters but less in finished books. Use you tab key on the keyboard if you look closely at a word blank page you will see you have two pointers at the top where the numbers are for the margins, and one directly underneath it. If you double click on this grid it will bring up a page for you to set your tabs.

Yes I know editing is a pain, but a necessary one unfortunately in order to sell your work, I am awaiting the second pass of my story and I may still have some editing to do,its part of being a writer, so we have to just grin, and bear it I'm afraid. Lol it won't let me indent on here without a lot of hassle. Look at the chapters of GOD I have sent you, I use tab indent at Lhand margin when my character speaks and when I start a new paragraph.
