I finished this last week and was really pleased with it. While it was short I thought it was full of both ideas and emotions as well as leaving you with a slightly ambiguous ending.

Anyone else had a chance to read it yet?

Hey Mike! What did you like or dislike about Isis?

Thank you for sharing Mike! And I see where you're coming from. For me it felt rather like reading an obscure fairy tale, but without that powerful kick you can get from reading them in their original form.

I really enjoyed it, but I know part of my like is its ambiguous ending- what really happened to her brother? Anything that doesn't fit nicely into a box usually makes me happy.

I look forward to reading your thoughts on Christie Malry's Own Double-Entry when you read it. I too have it on my shelf and haven't had the time to dive in.

This is interesting, I'm really looking forward to reading this now. Mike I too have your problem with Americanized versions of heaven in the books you mentioned and others, so it'd be interesting to see if I find this an issue too.

Still havent quite finished Christie Marly's Own Double-Entry, have way too many books to read all vying for attention, but have really enjoyed what Ive read so far, be interested to hear what you guys think of it.

Mike, this book looks incredible! Yet another one to add to my never shortening list.

MJ Nicholls (mjnicholls) For books on a distinctly British Hell (in contrast to US heaven), see Dot in the Universe, where your ranking in the underworld is determined by the flamboyance of your death. Likewise How the Dead Live, where Hell is a Jewish suburb of London.

MJ Nicholls (mjnicholls) Mike: That was old review. It must have slipped into my filter after I recommended it to Tuck. Highly recommended, though. For next month, maybe. Hint hint.

Not sure about "Tomorrow in the..." Looks quite Dalkeyish.
