You're seriously ill. But you've come to the right place. We can't cure you, but at least you're among your own kind. ;-)

Welcome, Sena! The most awesome experience of my life was when I discovered our town's library and realized that they'd actually trust me to take books home to read! Life changing.

Hellow, LaSonya. Welcome to our support group. We all have the same "illness". We don't want to be cured, so we just "hang" together and relish our addiction.

This started when I was about 7, and I've been addicted ever since. Almost everyone around me (except two of my best friends) knows and jokes about how much money I spend on books. It's ridiculous, how big my "to read" list is and it never gets smaller, because doesn't matter how much I read, new books just keep appearing (in case you didn't notice already, I'm a mess, when it comes to choosing what to read next). The biggest problem (I'm sure lot of you can relate) is the lack of time. It seems like there're so many books to read and there's never enough time.
Hopefully being around people with same illness will help.
Sorry if my English isn't perfect. I'm from Georgia (country, not a state in US)

Your English is fine. Better than most. I'm not sure this is the place for you to find a cure. We're a group of "enablers" with no adults to rein us in.
So, welcome to the asylum. Feel free to browse around. Whatever you do, don't get an eBook reader (like a Kindle), the lower price and additional availability of books will totally overload you and you'll have no time for anything else.

Well I guess it's a little late for that, since I've already got my paperwhite :D I'm not really looking for a cure. This is the kind of addiction I actually like. I just need to know that there're more people like me and I'm not the crazy one :D

Oh, you're the crazy one alright. It's just that you have a lot of company.
I'll make it worse for you. AKW Books (http://akwbooks.com) will give you free eBooks in exchange for HONEST reviews on Amazon. You just cruise their catalog and then ask for one via their contact form (mention my name). When you post a review (it doesn't have to be favorable, just honest), you can get another.
Now you're truly in trouble. They have over 50 titles so far.

Well, this is the situation, when I don't know if I should thank you or not :D Guess I won't be very productive in my life for a long time now :D

I have to agree having an E-Reader is great but awful at the same time. I read 8-9 books a week between e-reader and regular. So I completely understand about addicted to reading. :)

WOW!!!!! That's a LOT of words. Are you a speed reader?

Hi Al,
Yeah I can read superfast. Usually I knock out about two books a day. That is of course after a full day of work. LOl. It is an addiction one that I Love though.
:)

I'm glad I can't do that. I could never afford my addiction.

Yes. More so now than when I was young. Had a friend who got by on 4 hours a night. He used the extra time to study stuff. That coupled with an IQ of around 170, allowed him to become an expert in a number of fields.
Hello all, my name is Maggie and I am a bookaholic...a right good one too! My day is not complete without reading a chapter or nine, and I NEVER go anywhere without a book in my bag. I read all genres, and cannot pass a bookstore without going in and browsing. As a birthday gift, my husband built me a library in our living room, complete with ladder, date due cards, and a stamp with my name on it. If that's not love, I don't know what is! :)

Welcome Maggie and Yeetong.
Maggie: that is indeed "true love". He not only went to a lot of trouble for you, he cares enough about you to know what you value.
Yeetong: I'm a science fiction fanatic. Since I was a kid (and that's a looooong time ago).

Nice to meet you all!
