I have a new M/M erotic romance (contemporary alternate universe) coming out on January 17 with Noble Romance Publishing. I'm looking to set up a blog tour with six stops--one for each day of release week, with the final day of release week held on my own site for prize raffling. (My site will be going live in a couple days. All host blogs will be added to the short link list featured in the sidebar on every page.) I'll be making some kind of swag or prize available to each individual blogger to raffle off to their commenters, and I'll have two or three larger prize packages to raffle at the end to those readers who commented on EVERY stop on the tour. I'll also make sure that each host blog gets an ARC to read at their pleasure and review if they so desire. The hope is to make this as fun and beneficial for each host blog as humanly possible.
I have enough ideas for each day of the tour, but I'm quite happy to hear ideas from the host bloggers as well. With the exception of an exclusive excerpt, each activity does require some effort on the host blogger's part (author interview, character interview, book review, etc), so it's not quite the day off a normal guest blog would be, but it should still be pretty fun and relaxing.
If you're interested and your blog gets a decent amount of traffic, please email me directly at metarachel (at) gmail (dot) com. (By "decent amount," this doesn't mean you need thousands of hits; just more than your family stopping by ;-p) The tour will begin on release day, January 17, and presumably end on January 23. If there's lots of interest in this, I don't object to having several blogs participate on the first day of the tour only, and I'll still make sure that everyone has some neat swag to raffle off.
I'll be promoting the ever-loving crap out of this tour, as will the participating bloggers and some of my friends over at Noble Romance, so this should be great exposure for everyone. Thanks for your time, and I hope to hear from you!
Here's the blurb for Anchored:
Network news anchor Daniel Halstrom is at the top of his field, but being at the bottom of the social ladder—being a slave—makes that hard to enjoy. Especially when NewWorld Media, the company who’s owned him since childhood, decides to lease him on evenings and weekends to boost their flagging profits.
Daniel’s not stupid; he knows there’s only one reason why a man would pay so much for what little free time he has, and it’s got nothing to do with his knowledge of current events. But he’s never been made to serve like that before, and he fears he won’t survive it with his sanity intact.
He finds himself in the home of Carl Whitman, a talk show host whose words fail him time and again when it comes to ordering Daniel to bed. Daniel knows what Carl wants, but it seems as if Carl isn’t willing to take it, and Daniel’s not willing to give it freely. His recalcitrance costs him dearly, but with patience and some hard-won understanding, love just might flourish where once there’d been only fear and pain. Can Carl become the anchor in Daniel’s turbulent life, or will he end up the weight that sinks his slave for good?
