Does anyone know if there is going to be a 3rd installment to the Alhpa and Omega series.

I think there is going to be one released late next year.
I wish she's titled it. I love those books.
Authors don't determine titles, the editor does. The author can suggest titles, though. But once it gets closer to the publication date, we'll learn the title.
The next Alpha and Omega book is due out in Jan of 2012. Also River Marked...book 6 of Mercy Thompson series is out March 1st.
Last I heard Alpha was pushed back because she was adding another book to her Masques series. I could be wrong though. Jan 2012 sounds right.
On her website she said "I'm having to push back the next Alpha and Omega. After River Marked I realized that I simply can't maintain the two-book-per-year pace. I've altered my contracts to one book per year, which should give me the time to do justice to the characters and to my readers. Thank you for your patience and understanding." and then posts that the expected release date for the next Alpha is Jan. 2012.I know that Wolfsbane, the sequel to Masques, came out in November 2010. Was that the book you were thing of Jess or a different one because I haven't heard of a new one coming out but would love to read it.
Yeah I think it was Wolfsbane I was referring to. I don't think there's another in the series.That kind of sucks that she's only doing 1 book a year. So that means the next Mercy book won't be until 2013... I'm NOT okay with that LOL.

I'm so NOT ok with that either. I think my heart broke a little thinking it might not be until 2013. I need a yearly Mercy (Adam) fix!
Absolutely adore the Mercy Thompson series. I can't wait for River marked
to come out.

Yeah.. it's a little annoying especially when you see other authors getting out at least 1 book a year, if not more than that.
One week until River Marked is released...I'm so excited. I've been waiting for this book since Silver Borne was released.
Wow is it really coming out next week?? I just found it in my library system and put a hold on it. I don't want to buy a hardcover!
i'd buy it if hardcover wasn't so expensive for me right now. I am sooo broke right now.
I think I got the last one on my kindle because I didn't want the hardcover. It's definitely more expensive but it doesn't look right on my shelves when there's a row of paperbacks and then a huge hardcover in the middle.
It's so annoying that she started the series in paperback and now puts them out in hardcover! I agree, it doesn't look right in my bookshelf to have them paperback then all of a sudden hardcover. But I love the series so much, I read it on my Reader first and then when it comes out in paperback I eventually remember to get it. But the magic is slightly lost with all the alternate reading formats and waiting. :(
I got my pb copy today, Yay!
I know that this doesn't help much to those who already have the paperbacks, but she has re-released Moon Called and Blood Bound in hardcover with the Paperback covers. Apparently they were originally released in hardcover, but the covers were really different. I have all but Iron Kissed in hardcover so it's okay that she's releasing in that format for me. But I do understand, I have the Crystal Singer Trilogy by Anne McCaffrey and I have the first one in paperback and the other two in hardcover...they were given to me and I look all the time to see if I can find the hardcover to Crystal Singer because it drives me crazy that they look so off.
Just a side note...it's not the author's decision what format the books are released in. I know that the original Moon Called was released by Little Brown and the hardcovers are being released by Ace. I read somewhere that she changed publishers so that may be why the books have changed format.

I'm still irked though because I want to buy River Marked but now I need to go to BN for a day and read it and then wait for it to come out in paperback.
Stephanie, the UK has already released the pb version.
River Marked was really good. I was blown away by the first couple of chapters.
I love her werewolve series and really looking forward to the next book in the Alpha and Omega series.I also like the Mercy Thompson series
I haven't read River Marked yet (finishing another series), but I was kind of disappointed that it's not set in the Tri-Cities (just because I live there). I can't wait to read it though! :D I just love reading about werewolves, vampires and fey running around here! :D lol
Jessa, once you start the book, you'll understand why the setting changed. It also makes sense when you start learning more about Mercy's heritage. It was really good and if you liked the other books in the series...this one won't disappoint you.
Oh I already know why it doesn't take place in TC. :) I read the article they had in our paper on Briggs and it ruined the beginning for me. Lol good article though.
I'm hoping to go to the bookstore when she ends her book signing tour here on the 27th (I think?). I have 3 books she's signed but I haven't been to a signing yet. I would always just buy the signed copies at the store later. Lol
I've got River Marked on my TBR list. I love her Mercy Thompson Series and her Alpha Omega series. I do hope she writes a 3rd in the AO series!!

Is the Alpha & Omega series as good as Mercy Thompson? Are there hotties as hot as Adam?
I think the male characters are more interesting in some ways in her Alpha and Omega :DBut all the males in both these series are very interesting - LOL
@Theresa...The Alpha and Omega series is set in the same world as Mercy. The main characters are Charles and Anna. Charles is Bran's son. The first book is called Cry Wolf and it's starts off in Chicago around the time of Moon Called. Most of it takes place where Mercy grew up and around Bran's pack, so it gives you an insight into Mercy's childhood. The biggest complaint I've heard about A & O is Anna isn't a strong female lead. I personally like Anna, she is a rare Omega werewolf and she was abused so she has some interesting issues. As far as hotties, that's all perspective.
Overall I think of the two series as companion series and both are really good.

I wished I had known about On the Prowl before I read and reviewed A&O. Still enjoyed it, but it would have been nice to read them in the right order.
I haven't read the short in On the Prowl. I've been wanting to read it, but I don't want to buy the book and the libraries around here don't have it.
I only read the story by Patricia Briggs in that book. Meant to read the others but a friend borrowed my copy before I got to them.

Patricia Briggs hasn't announced another Mercy book, but she did hit to another on her website when she said she was only writing one book a year. We will have to wait until sometime after "Fair Game" is released in 2012 to find out for sure.
I heard there were to be 7 Mercy books, which means at least one more. I would love it if there were more :)
For anyone who wants to read the Alpha and Omega novella that appeared in On the Prowl but can't find the book...Amazon has the kindle edition of just the novella for $2.99. Since it's an e-book format one may be able to get it on another e-reader.
oooo i love this author!! her mercy thompsan series is one of my faves, i cant put it down when i start reading. the characters are fantastic.

I was just on Amazon and "Fair Game" the next Alpha and Omega novel, is set for release on February 7, 2012. It will be released in hardcover :(

I'd rather she have 7 good solid books and move on to something different than write a wishy-washy piece.
