i have seen the movie of jumper well if we are talking about the same jumper.so poetry huh.... arts guy?
lolz yup! just don't see the movie. Trust me, its a bad idea. And books made into movies are always bad. The books are a 100 times better than their movie counterparts.Well, i am a poet. Art, music... yes, guess that does make me a ummm.. 'arts guy'! lol
i see movies but books are always much better than movies. and in case of jumper i saw movie before i knew it was actually a book.so arts guy lol.... i am a science person , totally practical and i read lots of science books and except a few poems i don't like poems much may be because i just don't get the real hidden meaning of the poems.
Well, poems do have hidden meanings but truthfully, every single poem you read is understood by different people in different ways. More like, touching ones mind. So if you read it and whatever you understand is what that touches you in terms of the poetry you read. I am more refined when it comes to my poems though. I write what my heart tells me, not deep, universal stuff :P lolzhmmm.. well, science girl, Indians are more poetic than most cultures since it originated from here in the first place. Our definition of things are more exaggerated but still perfect in many ways. But the most important thing is, we value life above all things. Thats what different, at least by my standards.. LOL
wow.....you write poems ...well i made some pathetic attempts on writing poems since my friends write poems but it very well turned out to be a big long essay.loll....
lolz yes, i do write poems. Its like the air i breathe to me to be honest. I post some of my poems on here from time to time. But, hey! poem no matter the size is still a poem :)
well if you are interested in being a friend send me a friendship request on fb or my yahoo account it is smileysanchita19@yahoo.com. well if you are not then also it is ok since not everyone can be our friend it is just that none of my net friend or real friend is a book reader.well it was nice chatting with you. bye...
Hey guys, I'm new. My names Lacey, I'm 19. I love reading and love to take challenges. My favorite readings are fiction, the classics, and YA. But I'm open! :D
Welcome, Jim--Jersey girl here. My list is mostly fiction right now, but I enjoy history and biography as well. How do you feel about historical fiction? I read The Rising Tide: A Novel of the Second World War recently; I like Shaara's mix of well-known figures and more 'common' soldiers, and the way he portrayed the logistics of Eisenhower heading a multi-national military force. The sequel is on my to-read list.
Heya guys! I joined the group a while ago but I'm actually just starting to follow this challenge. I'm 21 and I go to Uni in the UK so I'm hoping I can keep this up through my final semester :)Ooo and I think I read everything although I don't really read much sci-fi or history. I'm big into romances of all sorts, young adult books and biographies/memoirs :)

Lewis.

Hi I'm Christina or Chris from VA. I joined Goodreads.com about a week ago. I'm not sure about the 100 books in a year for 2011 but I'm going for the March Challenge of eight books. I think I read six books for Jan and Feb together. So eight books in one month, Wow, but I'll try.
Hello everyone, I'm Denae. Currently in NC, will soon be in VA and have previously been in TN, PA, GA, back to TN, CA, back to TN again and now here. Because of course you all needed to know that. :)I'm much too lazy to go into all the stuff I like, so I'll just stick with eclectic and if you're really curious you can go check out my favorites shelf. I tend to read at least a couple books at once. Right now it's 4. Ridiculous, really.
Working on the 100 already. I'm at 13 completed, which puts me a little bit behind for the year, but I have been picking some long books this year. Basically, I'm not too worried about it.
Kristin wrote: "Hello from Kristin in Ohio. I'm glad to find the group."Hi Kristin! I live in Ohio as well. What part are you from?
Hello!I learned about Goodreads last year but I couldn't figure out what to do with it. Another social networking site? Who needs it!
Then I went to a conference in January and I learned what could be done with Goodreads. Now I'm addicted!
I'm a middle school teacher. My favorite genre is science fiction/fantasy with a bit of historical fiction thrown in.
My booklist, though, seems to consists mainly of young adult lit. Oh, well. There's always the summer!

Hello All,I've just joined up today, I'm Claire from London . . . On my 33rd book of the year and keen to get to the halfway point. Look forward to coming across some stuff I maybe wouldn't of thought of cracking the spine on.

Alison in Bridge of Weir, Scotland, UK. Just found this group. This is my second year of trying for 100 - only made it to 86 last year. boo hoo. Hoping Goodreads will help with reading suggestions. I like lots of literary fiction. Favourites from last year were Karen Maitland and I also got into Scandinavian crime fiction, eg Henning Mankell and Jo Nesbo.
