personally, i think its a pretty good idea. not in an *AMAZING IDEA!!!!* way. more in a 'makes sense and gives things a more realistic feel' way

so about the rebellion- do they tell everyone? how long does it last? when does the prince/ ambassador start to notice? didnt the prince come with bodyguards and servants or something? how long into the rebellion does he die?

They tell the people of consequence- like the parents and obviously not Eliran. I don't think that they should notice for a while- after all, the 2 haven't been on the mountain long- maybe they think that's how things normally are.

I'd say not very long into it if we want to keep it moving. Maybe we could skip ahead a week or so- like half-way into Oshri's recovery or something. And like have Fayven ready to leave and have the girl chosen, but him being to sick to travel. Maybe have him die on the mountain?

yup. i think that works. how about we finish them starting the rebellion- refusing to go to the academy etc, and then skip, say, about a month when the prince is desperate to leave but feeling too sick, like you said.

It is. But sometimes I hate it cause you occasionally have to send out warnings and maybe delete the group if it died and you can't bring it back.

Well if we skip ahead...skip to what? Skip to like a month into the rebellion? I think I'm a little confuzzled...IS the rebellion gonna be all out fighting? What kind of rebellion. I think I might not be following the plan well. :D

but I think I like what I'm reading. :D

It's not gonna start out as fighting- and besides, the mountainers don't have weapons other then their tools. But I'm thinking jump to a bit into the Rebellion so that we can show that things didn't just change overnight- and Fayven's illness isn't supposed to progress that quickly anyways.

Though, I will admit, I have creeped myself out.
But it is no longer my choice. Sometimes charries will do that. Eric just did. He just informed me that I have no clue as to what is going on in his brain and that he knows how he wants his story to go.

mine do :) i know exactly what you mean...
a good author sets their characters scenarios and lets the characters work their own way out of it.
you know you have managed to make a good charrie when they have a mind of their own and you make them do things because thats what feels right, and not because thats what you want to happen :D

ok, so how is the rebellion going to work?
maybe Fay dies and the king finds out and thinks the mountain people killed him and sends armies against them. i have the feeling we already decided something like that....
in the meantime though, what do they do?

Okay. Maybe the King should already be dead but they don't know. So Fay is obviously mad. And his soldiers are at his command. So they try to take control of the town. Most of the families try to stay safe, and leave? to the old abandoned mine that the Danland people don't know about? Then those youth and men who are going to fight stay behind? Maybe something like that? Okay, Karri and Oshri could be at HQ or something.

it woudl be more interesting if the king didnt die.
fay could try take over the town like you said, but then the sickness takes him and he dies. [unless you really dont want him to die ;) ]
the king hears his son is dead, comes up to the mountain because he thinks they killed him. they the king is attacking the mountain people, and he actually knows what he is doing so they dont really stand a chance.
then Oshri can come out and try to stop him or something and it might or might not work...

the rest sounds good though....
