From the back of the room someone stepped into the room. A man wearing a suit and a black mask stepped through, adjusting his facewear. He paused taking in the scene and then snapped. There was a BOOM and the walls crumbled all around them. Lynx dived out of the way missing a piece of ceiling by an inch.
There was another toppling BOOM and the man was by Lynx. She stared up pale, her wide eyes watching him solemnly. She couldn't get up.
He leaned down two finger brushing her face. He put them together, forming another snap, "Stop." He said quietly to them all, "Or she can smear the walls." He said simply.

He turned a his head towards her, "You really are troubling too many people." He said quietly. "A hole in the ceiling. A whole sector in shambles. It's like you were trying to draw attention."
One hand still posed in a snap, the other went up touched the black mask. The fingers curled around the edges and slowly pulled, removing the mask. "Are you two stupid?" Knightz said her eyes staring out at Thera, empty.

"Don't move." Knightz repeated in the same voice, "I really will pop Lynx's head off if you do. It'd make one less troublemaker for the organization."
"Don't move." Knightz repeated coldly. There was a crunch at the back of the room, more men streamed in wearing masks and black clothing with black gloves identical to the one Knightz had.
Instantly one of the masked men stepped between her and Knightz. He raised his hand icy coldness wafting from his body. Steam rose as the ice hit the fire. It disappeared into the air. Knightz shook her head, those same blank eyes staring coldly at Ther "I told you not to move." She snapped.
The moment Knightz snapped red flew everywhere. Behind her Thera her Matt scream. Thera saw the ice man fall. He'd been standing too close.
Matt whimpered, his eyes on Knightz. She had him by the throat. "You have to stop causing trouble or you'll end up getting everyone killed." she said coldly. Then she and Matt disappeared in another boom. The house around them started to crumble.
Soon, alone, they viewed the rubble of what was left of the house. Soon Malik joined them, "What happened?" He panted.
Malik pressed hand against his forehead, "Is that all?" He laughed offhandedly, "Have you seen Moss or Laurel?"
He paused, "If Lynx disappeared then maybe Laurel is with her." He did a head check around them, "We have to try to find Moss."
Malik smiled, "He is a tall man with purple tinted glasses. He's very thin and has a compulsion for laziness." He frowned, "I hope he's alright." He turned to her, "I'm sorry. I guess I don't quite know you. I'm Malik, Lynx's husband. You are?"
"The pleasure is mine." He said, taking her hand and kissing it.
"Lynx'll blast your head off if she catches you flirting like that." A crude voice said from behind them.

"You better have a car around here." Moss grumbled, "I'm not walking. Where's Lynx?"
"I'm hoping at the safe house." Malik returned. "That's where I'm heading." He turned to Thera, "Would you like to join us?"

Aven was still in shock at seeing the horrible sight of the pregnant woman's death. She couldn't wipe the image of Knightz and the mess from her mind. She barely acknowledged what had happened until Thera just spoke to her. She looked at her numbly and said quietly,"I don't care." I just want to go home, she added.
Malik nodded and started down the road. Off in the empty distance they saw a line of large rocks piled atop each other.
Moss passed by Malik, gripped his ear firmly in his hand, and dragged him away, "Crazy player." he muttered under his breath.
"That's the entrance for the compound. It's only about three miles from here, not to far, but far enough to protect us in case anything happened to the house and not be affected."
"Which it did." Moss muttered.

When the rocks were finally reached Malik disappeared. Moss stood to the side studying the rocks.
Deep in a crevice they heard a yell, "Down here!" It was Malik.
Deep in a crevice they heard a yell, "Down here!" It was Malik.
Inside it was dark. The temperature went down like a breeze in summer, and it was almost impossible to see where you were going. Deeper into the crevice they heard Malik's voice, "Just slide down a little farther and you'll be there. Careful, it's really slippery the last few feet.
Suddenly and dark tan hand thrust itself in front of her. "I can guide you." Said Malik in his smooth, deep voice.
Malik laughed from his side of the rock, "I would never lay a finger on a Lady." He said in a amused voice.
From far behind her she heard Moss grumble, "Unless they want him to."

Malik pulled, bringing her fully out of the crevice to stand in a large cave. In his hand he held a flashlight. Up above them were stalactites. Around them were stalagmites. Then he reached in for Aven, "Are you alright?"
He pulled her in and finally Moss. He raised the flashlight to show the darkened back of the cave. At the back there was a small square shaped door with no knob but a key hole. Malik climbed up to it and took out a long key.
Inside it clicked and he motioned them up the pile of rubble.

The moment she stepped through the hole she found herself sliding down cool metal. A light came rushing towards her at the bottom and the next moment she rolled onto a giant cushion. Off to the side stood Malik.

They stood to the side in a high tech room. There was a giant computer to the side, couches, a giant fridge humming to one side and a door labeled storage to the other side. A little to their back and left was a room labeled bathroom.
A yellow head peeped out from one of the couches.

Malik stepped forward with a chuckled and leaned over the couch, kissing the person sitting on it. Slowly and painfully Lynx rose. She was dirty, in obvious pain, but she was alive. Malik frowned, "You should be sitting."
Beside her a shorter figure rose, Laurel.

Lynx gave a little laugh, it was one of someone very tired. "I'm in one piece, that's all that matters. I'm like you guys. Even so I was lucky to have gotten out of there."
