Its been a while since I read this book but I loved it! I was so struck by the raw honesty and fascinating stories in this memoir. I was impressed at the responsibility Spragg had guiding hunters at such a young age. Not only that, but he was so adept at it! I was sort of blindsided in the last portion of the book that told of his years away from ranch life. It was as though the person you came to know throughout became someone you scarcely recognized. More jaded, and theoretical about life. I suppose it surprised me a bit and made me wonder what his life philosophy is like today. Fascinating read! I have a signed copy!
