"Yes, I hope that it is not a problem. They were responsible for supplying this." She pulled the Death Note from her purse, glaring at it. "They apprehended a dangerous criminal for it, not to mention saved my life."
Mello glared at Matt for his lack of respect. Smoking in the presence of L?
((In Mello's eyes L = GOD))
((In Mello's eyes L = GOD))
L nodded. "Raito Yagami-kun found one as well," L said, making sure that he didn't believe that Raito had found it, more like Raito was the owner.
"Yes...Raito-kun...." L said, swirling the chair back around to face them.
((have you seen the icon where he does this? it's greatness))
((have you seen the icon where he does this? it's greatness))
((Keeps on swirling and swirling? Yes, it's so MIND-NUMBING!))
"He 'found' one as well?" Mello replayed all of his suspicions in his head.

Asuko nodded and bit down on her lollipop, feeling it crack beneath her teeth. Her mom had always told her not to do that... "How are you involved with Raito-kun?" she asked L, trying to fit together pieces to this ever-growing puzzle.
"Raito-kun was working here on the Kira case till...a few days ago...when he vanished..." L said. "Yes, he brought a Death Note to me as well..."
((I LOVER IT))
((I LOVER IT))
((IT IS GREAT! But the thing is, we have such long intervals between actual RPing, we forgot the details of what happened before...For instance, I thought Asuko, Mello, and Matt already thought that Raito was Kira.....))
"Interesting place you have. Was it specifically built for the Kira case?" And why are there no lights, and apparently no thermostat?
((NO!!))Asuko looked around again, pulling out another lollipop. L was... peculiar. Why did both Matt and Mello look up to him?
((EVERYone lOVERS L!
'what are you going to be when you grow up?'
'an arm chair detective!'
'...'))
'what are you going to be when you grow up?'
'an arm chair detective!'
'...'))
"Yes, go ahead," L replied.
((we need Ty, so we can have Raito, so Beyond and Raito can just SHOW UP!))
((we need Ty, so we can have Raito, so Beyond and Raito can just SHOW UP!))
((AH CREEPY!!))Asuko turned the computer on and opened fourteen different windows. Bank accounts, stocks, eBay sales... all was well. She had earned approximately $19, 890 since... two days ago. Not bad.
Shinigami. The search brought up a lot of things... "Death Gods" being the main one. Hmm.
((Lol, Asuko has her own online businesses))
Shinigami (死神 "death god" or "God of Death") is the personification of death that evolved in Japan, having been imported to Japan from Europe during the Meiji period. This image of death was quickly adopted and featured in such works as the rakugo play Shinigami and in Shunsen Takehara's Ehon Hyaku Monogatari (One-hundred Story Picture-Book).The term shinigami may also be used more loosely to refer to any death deity. It seems to be a recent term, however, as it belongs to no specific Shinto deity and is rarely used in folklore.
Today shinigami frequently appear in original Japanese works of fiction (anime and manga most often).
"Interesting," she muttered, even though the information supplied her with nothing.
Asuko shut the computer down and looked at Matt and Mello. Mello looked like he was about to fall over and kiss the ground at L's feet, and Matt looked... she couldn't really even tell. It was too dark.
"How many people are working on the Kira case?" How many more obnoxious morons will I have to put up with in my lifetime? she muttered in her mind, thinking of all of the incompetent fools she'd had to work with... compared to them, Mello and Matt were a piece of cake.
