Watari walked into the hotel, and spotted a young girl talking to the man at the desk. she looks familiar Watari thought, walking over to her.

"Please, I really need you to tell me where Riyuzaki is. It's very important that I meet with him today..." She didn't notice the man walking over.

"You need to talk to Ryuzaki?" Watari asked. "He is not here right now, but you can come with me to wait for him."

"Oh, thank you so much!" Asuko smiled at the elderly man, wondering if this was L. It couldn't be... L had to be... well, she didn't know, younger?

Watari led over to the Elevator, and once inside said, "My name is Watari, I'm Ryuzaki's ... assistant if you will.

"Okay." Asuko shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts. Her mind had been so clouded since her plane trip to Japan... Ugh. Think about the goal here, Asuko.
"So... where is the great L right now?" she asked, examining the elevator with interest. In about four seconds she had discerned how it worked... and how to destroy it, if necessary...

"He's out with Task Force," Watari replied as the elevator doors opened. He exited and walked down the hall toward the room.

Asuko smiled. "Ah... how many are on the Task Force?" she asked him, wondering how much information she could get out of Watari.

[Grantaire, BB-kun]

"Just L, myself, and a small number of others," Watari replied, "I'm sure you'lll meet them when they return."

[Hannah]

"Hmm... so is the hotel your... base, I suppose?" Asuko was suppressing the urge to ask questions uncontrollably, deciding that patience was better if she got some answers.

"Right now, we will probably be moving soon," Watari said.

"And... do you have any idea who I am?" she asked, deciding that that was a pretty important question.

"You go by the name Asuko, L sent you a e-mail a few days ago if I'm not mistaken." Watari said.

"Good! I was hoping that you wouldn't lead random teenage girls into the hotel. That could be a security hazard." Asuko laughed and pushed her hair behind her ear, only to have it fall back into her eyes. "Do you and L discuss things? For example, do you know the details of the Kira case?"

Asuko smiled, and it was an honest one, which surprised her. Normally she had to force a smile. Japan is messing with my brain...
"I imagine you wouldn't let me onto the computer to catch up on L's data... L will want to test me first. To see if I'm trustworthy." Asuko marveled that she was no longer using big words... back in her old home, she would have used giant scientific terms and unnecessary words to impress people. And it normally worked. But she didn't feel like she needed to now.

"Yes, L will need to talk to you first," Watari said, "So, while we wait, would you like anything?"

"Umm... actually, do you have any lollipops?" Asuko had to admit that she had an addiction to lollipops. Not any other kind of candy: lollipops.

Asuko sat down and stared at the computer screen, even though the system was off. She chopped it up into pieces, mixed them around, and put them back together again behind her eyelids, testing her brain to see if she could hold the images... she got to the very end before the faded, making her scowl. She removed the lollipop from her mouth and licked its side, glancing over at Watari.
"Do you have any idea how long L will be?"

Watari galnced at the clock. "He should return in a hour, but you never know..."
