............Nah. The ending may have been a little rushed, but Suzanne Collin's writing tops this anyday, all day.

Are you kidding?! Peeta has no "special weaponry" because he wasn't trusted. So how would HE kill HIMSELF??!!
_____________________________________________________________________And Katniss didn't mope around feeling sorry for herself. She tried to be strong and have life go on... even if it was hard for her to do. And even if she did, anyone would do that. Losing your sister, friends, fellow tributes, and seeing all the killing could scar you for life.


And why would anyone want to look back on memories like hers with any kind of happiness? Any memory that had good inside it was tainted with something bad. Or had been tainted by someone else.
And how do you spend the last years of your life when you've spent most of if simply trying to stay alive? Living your whole life looking over your shoulder?
I thought the final ending of Mockingjay stayed true to all the things that we knew about Katniss and Peeta and everyone in Panem. And it may not have been the "perfect" ending, but I think it was the proper one.
