i shoulder my book-bag and walk towards the alley way, avoiding the cops that patrolled the street

Liya decided to return to earth. She had loved its dried mango, and was on her last bag.

i turn into the alley and walk strait into someone, "sorry," i mutter stepping out of the way

"It's okay." Liya hastily tried to hide her ears.

i look up at her and pause, "do i... know u?" i ask looking at her face, something pulls in my memory

a cop stops in the alley way "hay" he calls at me "why aren't u in school?"

i look at liya "pleas just stand there and nod," i beg then look at the cop "i'm sorry," i say with american accent "i'm here on vacation and my aunt was showing me around." i waved a hand at liya

"is that true miss?" the cop asked her

the cop looked us over again then walked away "thank you" i sighed, back into my normal accent "now, i best be going"

"thanks again" i say and turn to leave, but something stops me "mysticasia? ... there was a war... where is ur family, verik?"

Liya's eyes widened. She crouched, hissing. She curled her lip, revealing catlike fangs.

i step back against the wall, braking out of the semi-trance. "oh my god" i whisper

"n-no, i am. i just... oh my god" i reach into my book-bag and pull out a note book. i flip to one of the pages in the back "u really are one aren't u?"

"why do u guy always find me?"
