At first Glance when I saw this in my Liberary and read the description behind I was rather doubtful and believed this was kinda Corny.Especialy since one of the reviews said it was "reminicent of Stephen King" I dont like King's Style much. But then when I read it I realized it was BETTER than King.It has the same spooky theme but with different more understandable Plots and with the real Vampire and Werewolf Myths and Legends not that Bullshit we see in Pop Culture that distorts all of the Original Legends. It is a treassure of a Book! Although I was very disapointed to see Ubel Griswald finally die at the end. That plus they made things pass bye a few years later in the Book and although I'm happy to see Newton get Married with that sweet and sexy Lady Jonatha Corbiel who helps them all learn the true stories of the Supernatural to defeat the Vampires I was disapointed that Saul Winestock died near the end of the Book and ESPECIALLY in the manner which he died.It was so brutal and Savage.I also was sad that Krueger had turned Mike's Mom into a Vampire depriving her of all Humanity and eventually causing her to lose her soul at the very end.But the good news is that Mr. Maberry left the end of the Book open to the creation of any sequels.Which means we may yet see new Books in the Pine Deep Series because Mike' Mom along with other Vampires escaped before they could be destroyed, including his best friend who was turned into a Vampire.Plus we also have the fact that Mike toughens up a bit and looks like a real Vampire Hunter close to the end.He get's adopted by Val and Crow at the end.And though the Bone man finally rested in Peace you get a hint around the end of the Book that he may return. All in all this is the best Book I have ever read, well, with the Exeception of the Beloved by JF Gonzalez which is equally as good.
