Incest= Sexual intercourse between close relatives.

Back in the days, incest was very common in royal families, and some relegions and countries. Even further back in time, people just didn't care. So she'd your sister? Big deal. At some point though, it was proven that incest can harm the kids, make them suffer from different kinds of sicknesses.

Personally, I'm against incest. Cousins marrying... That seems weird to me, but I don't see why it should be illegal. But sisters and brothers, uncles and nieces/aunts and nephews, etc. No way. I am so against that. Not only do I think it's wrong, it will also likely affect any kid they could end up having. If it just affected the two of them... I don't know. But it dosen't, so I don't think it's okay.

What do you think? Is incest wrong? Why?

Hahahaha well I believe it's okay as long as they're not direct. Like you cannot marry your direct uncle, aunt, brother, sister or parents. Cousins are okay but not if it keeps happening throughout the generations like first cousins marry then their childrens first cousins marry and their children so on. I mean my aunt married her first cousin and it's perfectly fine. I guess it is sort of gross because I would never think of marrying my first cousin... But that was a long time ago. Marrying cousins does not do harm :)

Yeah we get that but if you have children together it won't do any harm. I even know because I know a few people who are married and forst cousins... But it's still better to not like just in case.

marrying members of the family(extended family) is fine with me...i'm not against it..as long as they don't disturb me..it's what they want then they should do it...it shouldn't be illegal...as long as they do it willingly...there shouldn't be a problem with that!

Personally, I don't have any reasons to back it up on a legal point of view. Like, I don't think I have any reasons why it's "immoral" or "wrong", I just think it's gross.

I love my cousins in the way I love my siblings and my parents, and the thought of having a sexual relationship with someone I care about in the way you care about your family is just gross to me.

So I suppose if someone truly and honestly fell in love with their cousin and wanted to marry them, I really can't say anything other than I find it pretty gross. But I guess I can't say anything else.

I would find ot gross too if you played togheter and lived togheter and spent ur childhood togheter. It's allowed I said, in my relegion. Plus, if u hardly meet ur cousins and then marry them in the future, I think that'd be fine..

Er, i think marrying cousins is gross tbh... i just dont think you should marry within family, i think its, for lack of a better word, icky!. Iam really close with my cousins so thats probably why i think that, but still... the cousins i am not close to, i still wouldnt think it right to marry them :S

And my uncles first wife was his cousin. That wasn't arranged.
