I finished Stargazer today 10/27. I liked it and will continue with the series. I'm intrigued by the twists and turns added in this one.
I just finished The Summoning for Awakening. I was torn between 3 and 4 stars, but ended up giving it 3. It was an ok read but not engrossing enough, but the last few chapters or so did pick up, so I'll read the next book in the series. I'm interested to know what happens in the next book.
For Play of Passion, I read the novella Whisper of Sin from the anthology Burning Up. Despite its length, it was a pleasant read.
I finished Dreaming of You today (10/30). I gave it 4 stars. I usually don't like the mouse-y heroine type but Sara was likeable. I LOVED Derek Craven and actually wanted to cry a couple of times when Kleypas described his despair. I wished she spent more time on the characters and I was a little dissatisfied with the ending for one of the characters (trying not to plant a spoiler here!) hence the less then perfect score.

I finished City of Ghosts last night. This series is awesome, I love how flawed the main character is! A lot of the trouble she is in is her own fault, but I still feel for her and root for her! *****

Yeah!!! I am going to read Daughter of Smoke and Bone. My back up choice will be Bloodlines in case I can't find the other one.
Hi Yz, I have a question. You have book covers for
and
. Viscount Breckenridge to the Rescue by Stephanie Laurens is not actually listed in your post. I think The Van Alen Legacy is by Melissa de la Cruz not Stephanie Laurens. Would you please confirm which books should be in the list? Thanks!
Joann wrote: "Hi Yz, I have a question. You have book covers for

Sandra wrote: "Damn, I just read Dead as a Doornail on 6th November."You can always read the next book in the series.
I think I'll read either: The Better Part of Darkness for The Darkest Edge of Dawn or Daughter of Smoke and Bone. Quite a number of interesting series books that I want to read!
I finished Viscount Breckenridge to the Rescue yesterday. I have a weak spot for historical romances - 4 stars.
I just finished reading Dead Reckoning for Dead as a Doornail. I gave it 4***.I had previously read books 2-9 in the course of a month and a half, and taken time away from the series before reading Dead in the Family - which I had a really hard time getting into for some reason I can't pinpoint.
I'm glad to say that Dead Reckoning had whatever Dead in the Family was missing that made me enjoy the series. I read all but the first 30-or-so pages in one sitting (until 4am!).

I've finished reading Fledgling today. It was alright. I'm not comfortable with the main character looking so young even though she's really old. It was an interesting book but it felt really dry, especially in audio form.
I managed to finish The Better Part of Darkness for The Darkest Edge of Dawn on December 13th. It was a good UF with more emphasis on action. I will pick up the next book in the series.
I finished
on 12/12 and thought it was ok but just a regurgitation of the Vampire Academy plot. I will not be continuing this series.

Hey Fran, if you decide to go with Born at Midnight, then maybe can we do a buddy read? Let me know.
Just finished reading Inheritance a few days early, 12/16/11, but I will post this anyway. I really enjoyed this book, gave it 5 stars. However, I was hoping it would end a little differently. This book was worth the long wait for it.
There are several books on this list I want to read, but I think I will go with Birthmarked for Tortured.
Finished Born at Midnight It was an okay book. Not too much action and the whole love triangle thing started to piss me off in some parts I gave it a 3/5 stars.
I finished Born at Midnight and found I really enjoyed it. I've been in a YA fiction mood recently which I think really helped me enjoy it. It wasn't really anything special though. It basically followed the same plot of every other paranormal YA romance out there.
I just finished reading Birthmarked for Tortured. I rated it 3 stars. I thought it was OK, but a little slow. I didn't really get invested in the characters so I don't think I will read anymore in the series.
I read Vampire Mine in place of Vamps and the City - 4 stars. As usual, I found this entry in the series amusing and will continue to follow along in the battle between the Vamps and the Malcontents. (view spoiler)
I finished Infinite Days today 1/3. I really liked it- 4*. I will definitely be reading the next one when it comes out. Vi and I read it together but I think I liked it way more than she did, LOL.
