The real interesting question is how a random book generation associated Heart of Darkness with The Wicked House of Rohan? LOL. I laugh at the "People who looked at this also looked at these" lists on sites like Amazon, sometimes there's a real doozy of a wild card thrown in by a student, gift-buyer, etc.

I'll read Twice Tempted by a Rogue by Tessa Dare. I did not really like the first in the Stud Club series, but I'll try this series again.
I finished Twice Tempted by a Rogue and I thought it was better than the first in the series. One of the things I liked, was that it wasn't principally focused on horses like in One Dance with a Duke. And the plot was interesting. It's not often that in an historical romance book you read that a village is trying to get rid of a lord. Nor that a lord falls in love with an innkeeper.
Yz, just wanted to remind you I have read Heart of Darkness- noticed you didn't record me as having read it- thanks!
Fran wrote: "Yz, just wanted to remind you I have read Heart of Darkness- noticed you didn't record me as having read it- thanks!"Must have missed it the first time. Thanks for the heads-up.
I also read Heart of Darkness (2/17***) and although I found the story itself to be terrible, it was beautifully written. I definitely enjoyed it more than Fran but there were a few times where I was a little lost and was unsure what was going on. I may read it again - maybe I was too tired to focus.
Finished Friday's Child, 02/20, 4 stars. There were some laugh-out-loud moments an this was the most light-hearted Georgette Heyer I've read, but the heroine was really naive and even though well-intentioned she always managed to get herself in all kinds of trouble. It got to be tiresome toward the end and I kept thinking "grow up already, will she never learn!", but she complemented the hero perfectly so they were a matched pair:).
I finished Death Masks on 2/18. I'm loving James Marsters's reading of the Dresden series. The first one was a little rough but he's Spike so I gave him a break. I'm glad I did because the past couple of narrations (including this one) have been excellent. On to book 6!
I read Storm Frontby Jim Butcher. This series was recommended to me several months ago and I'm just getting to it. It was o.k. I'll probably check out the next in the series.
Finished Twice Tempted by a Rogue by Tessa Dare yesterday. The book had some promise but I think it meandered a lot.
Finished Need on March 1 and although I really enjoyed the book, I'm not sure how I feel about pixies!!
I read One Dance with a Duke but finished it two days after the deadline. : (Again, another winning story from Tessa Dare.
Yz, looking like a 3 way tie again. I am hoping someone posts at the last minute and knocks Heart of Darkness out of the running!

I think I'm going to read The Legend of the Werestag. I've liked other Tessa Dare books so I'll give this novella a shot.
I think I'll read either The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie or Book of a Thousand Days but I'm not sure. There are quite a few books on this list that I would like to read so I may change my mind.
Fran wrote: "I am leaning towards Book of a Thousand Days."Going to read Legend of the Werestag instead.
I finished The Legend of the Werestag on 3/22. I enjoyed this short story. The actual story line was a little thin, but I really liked the characters.
I'm going to re-read Fool Moon. I'm going to listen to it on audio. I've been wanting to see how James Marsters does with reading it.
I think I will re-read The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie as well. I can use it for the monthly challenge also!
I loved
. Finished 4-9-11.A wonderful romance featuring a flawed but lovable hero. This is the second book I've read this year in which a main character has a form of autism and Ashley did a fantastic job of showing us the world through Ian's eyes, how utterly captivating the perfection of a single drop of ink can be. Beth was the perfect match for Ian; she's very grounded due to her upbringing and takes a realistic view of the situation.
Finished Fool Moon 4/5/11. I re-read this via audiobook. It was narrated really well. I enjoyed it as much as the first time I read it.
I just finished Book of a Thousand Days (4/12, 3.5*), a story based on a Grimm brother's story, and I really liked it. It's YA so was a quick, easy read with the usual quickly tied up HEA but it also had some darker aspects that made it a little more enjoyable to read than a typical fairy tale.
I finished The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie and gave it ★★★★.30 min. till the 13th and I finished it. Wahoo!
I loved the book but I thought that, half the book, the story was too slow and the other half too fast.
