I finished reading The Maze Runner by James Dashner and only gave it ***. I found this book too predictable and the substitute curse words just annoyed me. I'm sorry if your surrounded by death and horror and gore, using the word Clunk instead of Shit is not going to convince me that they're all still innocent teenagers. It would've been better to just use Shit and Fuck and publish it as an adult fiction, rather than replace them and go YA.

Finished last April 23. I thought it started good but meandered a little too much by the middle part of the book. I still finished it though. 4 stars.

that series gets better with each book. I did a GR where we read one book a month from March to August last year, and I went on a huge m-m kick after that.

I finished this weekend and I had a ball reading this book. The banter between the two main characters was quite fun to read. Really enjoyed their interaction. I did guess the killer about 60% in the story. Would definitely continue with this series.

I'm going read Criss Cross.

I read Criss Cross. my first foray into M/M subject matter. This book was more a novella than a full length book. the lead character, Victor, was humorous and macabre. The ghosts were actually pretty scary. I want a big fan of this author's writing style (I'm normally averse to 1st person POV anyway). The writing almost struck me as lazy and half-hearted. Although that could possibly be a genius move on the part of the author since the lead character was pretty lazy and half hearted as well. I probably won't read this author again, although I did enjoy the lead character.

I know exactly what you mean. I can't say I love her writing style and the MC is just kind of waddling through life thanks to his meds!
I am buddy reading it but I think after book 5 (I won't continue with the series).

I read . It was cute but drove me nuts at the same time. I wanted the H/h to get their crap together and admit how they felt but that didn't have until the lat 15% of the book. Then it was the end, so I didn't feel like the romance was there like I wanted it to be. However, the story sucked me in, so I can't say it wasn't good. I give 3.5-4 STARS, so I rounded up to 4.

I finished reading Something About You by Julie James. This is a cute series that I've heard of but haven't picked up until now. The story wasn't really a mystery but that was OK. I enjoyed the characters and the witty banter between Cameron and Collin (her gay best friend). I will definitely be reading the next in the series. Four Stars!
