Pay-It-Forward RRRC style - Raffle Thread
Entered the numbers in to the random number generator and the winner is.....Daffodil!!! I'll send out Master of Ecstasy. Also, sorry for being late.
How the hell did I miss a book called Master of Ecstasy? Oh wait the description says it happens in the 1700's. Nevermind. Congratulations Daffodil!

Actually, Jim usually has severe allergic reactions when he reads historicals. He breaks out in excessive sarcasm and snarkiness ;-p
Penney, you know me too well. :-) I will tell you that I accidentally bought a historical romance the other day. I might even read it. But let's wait and see what Daffodil posts before I have to take drastic measures.
Jim, before you read it, what's the name of the book? It's not some 1970's rapist's guide, is it? Whenever you 'accidentally' pick up a historical romance, it's always something totally insane. Which is why you don't like them :)
Yeah Jim that's totally not the way to read a historical. You need to read Sherry Thomas I tell you!
Pure Silk by Susan Johnson. Was in a stack of clearance erotica at Half-Price Books. It's 19th century Japan so maybe I won't mind so much. After all I liked Shogun decades ago.

Thanks MistressMoon, I'll pm you my address.
I'll get together my list of books and post it in a few. I already know one that's going in the mix, so Jim, here's a second chance at
.

Great book. Highly recommend it.
So, plenty of historicals for Jim. Got it! ;-) :p
Maybe Jim should try a historical written by a man. Does Fabio sound good Jim? He wrote quite a few back in the day.
Daffodil, I'm not sure what else you may put on the list, but unless I tell you differently, I'm in for Long Hard Ride. Sej, I'm sure that it is more the wimpy historical heroines and lack of likable characters more than the sex of the author.
Sej wrote: "Yeah Jim that's totally not the way to read a historical. You need to read Sherry Thomas I tell you!"I'll admit am not a big fan of historicals either. Though i have a few that i plan to read in the future. Have too many friends recommendations not to add it.
The only author that i can recall reading historical was Sherry Thomas and i really enjoyed it. Maybe i'm a bit clueless but i barely noticed they were historicals, except when discribing what people drove and how far the houses were from one another. Hmmm, i may have to pick up the last few books from that series, i think i saw two releases that i have not read so far.
Sorry it took an extra day to get this posted, but here's the list of books. It's a little PNR/UF heavy because that's been my main reading focus for a while.Deadline: 11:00 a.m. Central, April 6. I will pull the name on my lunch hour and post that p.m.

See Jim, even Rossy agrees with me. Rossy - which Sherry Thomas book did you read? The first book I read by her was Private Arrangements. I I loved it! When is she gonna have another book?

Ooops, turns out i had the wrong author. It's Jodi Thomas, not Sherry that i read.LOL
I have been recommended His at Night, so i'm going to have to read that one sometime.
I updated the list at the bottom of msg 542 for up to this point. Please check and make sure I have you down correctly.
