Erik | 165 comments I'm not exactly sure that I agree with Hofstadter's comments about the subsystems all running concurrently. I think they may be more like threaded context switching on a single processor. Hofstadter certainly is smarter than I am, so I can't completely disagree with him on this point.

Reading this dialog feels like a playing a game. I think it certainly exercises some of the subsystems in my brain.

The Wondrous number puzzle is fun. I liked thinking about how to attack that using software to brute force test it.

The False Ending idea and Infinite Space Searching are really interesting, and have great examples shown to illustrate the basic concepts.

I keep looking for Acrostics (or other hidden meanings) in the dialogs. I don't tend to find them unless they are obvious, or I know where they are.
