That's just because she ended a very long and loving series. :( But, she's bumping out an eighth one :) And atleast Harry lived happily ever after. Accept for the deaths of some of my favorite characters. It wasn't too bad.

message 52: by Liz (new)

Liz I'm Annabeth. I only started the series in April, but I really loved it and I got a bunch of my friends to read it and so now we really like all the books. I also like Harry Potter, Jane Austen books, and (like everyone else on the planet) the Twilight series. Hmmm...what else? I love writing and traveling and I spend my free time training for competitions(I am a competitive rock climber).

Honestly, I was voting for Mitt Romney and I really don't like McCain or Obama. So I'm not really voting for either, since Romney backed out.

I liked Romney too Jenny, but McCain is pretty cool, esp because he was a POV for a long time. YEARS!

message 62: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (kutiegirl106) | 3104 comments Mod
I guess if I had to vote now it would be for McCain because he's a republican and I am too.

I like Obama a ton, the way he speaks is amazing. And he's like a rock star in Europe!

message 66: by Allie, A hopeless romantic who doesn't believe in love (new)

Allie (pearlrose95) | 3724 comments Mod
that's y i don't like him. all he does is make promises of change, talk talk talk, but nothing specific, everyones in love with him cuz he's so different from bush and so young, they don't see how inexperianced he is.
lol sry i didn't mean to rant.

message 67: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (kutiegirl106) | 3104 comments Mod
I'm with Allie on this one and it depends on what your changing and how you change it.

message 68: by [deleted user] (new)

i agree with jessalina, totally!!!!!!

message 69: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 5135 comments Mod
Okay, but Mccain is blah. Of course he's all talk! What else is he going to do! He's not president yet, and what has Mccain done? When Hilary and Obama were duking it out, was he campaigning his butt off? I don't think so! Change is needed, NOW. I'm sick of Bush and his idiotic remarks. We need someone who will bring change, and wouldn't it be AMAZING if a black man became president? That's MAJOR change. Ahem, and, if anyone has heard about the book The Real Mccain, they know what I'm talking about when I say Mccain has a temper. And, Obama is willing to talk to people with different point of views, instead of just going to war with them! He's NOT inexperienced, just because he doesn't have the white house, lobbyist experience doesn't mean he hasn't had real experience.

message 70: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (kutiegirl106) | 3104 comments Mod
I don't like either of them and McCain was duking it out with Romney the whole time so he really couldn't duke it out with anyone else after Romney backed out. Republican and Democratic. Now he's duking it out with Obama because Hilary backed out.

message 71: by [deleted user] (new)

I am 12 years old, but I am a DEMOCRAT! Go Obama! I hate McCain. He is going to be stupid Bush all over again! Obama went to Iraq and every place to talk to them, but McCain did basically nothing! And he's like 72! Men die before women usually, so he doesn't have that much longer to live! And if he has a bad vice our country is going to go KA-BOOM! I want Obama totally! I love his slogan! Change is what's needed! If we didn't change, we'd still be lving in caves and eating uncooked meat! Change!!!!!! Sorry, had to rant. AND BUSH IS A STINKIN' IDIOT!

message 72: by [deleted user] (new)

Bush actually said one time, and I quote 'Thank goodness they speak Latin in Latin America.' ITS A DEAD LANGUAGE YOU BOZO! I SHOULD KNOW I CAN SPEAK IT!

message 73: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 5135 comments Mod
Ahem, not to mention countless other quotes such as:

"I believe that humans and fish can coexist peacefully."

"Your trying to put food on your family."

"Is are children learning?"

message 74: by [deleted user] (new)

I believe that humans and fish can coexist peacefully? Who wrote that hunk of rotton cheese?

message 75: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 5135 comments Mod
George Bush! He said it!

message 76: by Sharayah (new)

Sharayah Politics are really frustrating for me. My dad LOVES to watch the news and their speeches, I tried sitting through them and got bored. Which is really sad because I have a fairly long attention span.

message 77: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 5135 comments Mod
Haha, yes, the word superdelegates gives me a headache just thinking about it.

message 78: by Liz (new)

Liz Well without Bush saying funny things, how will we ever be entertained? I think maybe all these things stars/famous dudes say might not be true. I mean, I don't think he is stupid, so why would he say that stuff? I think it must be a hard job, running a country and he probably would not appreciate all this hate generating. Where is the love? Bush, Mccain, and Obama are all cool in my opinion. I'm open to anything.
I do believe that humans and fish can coexist peacefully :P
Oh speaking of George Bush, his daughter, Jenna, wrote a book called Ana's story. It is a really good book. I recommend it.

message 79: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 5135 comments Mod
Yes, it's hard work. But, Bush hasn't done it to the best of his ablities. On second thought, maybe he has. Yikes.

message 80: by Allie, A hopeless romantic who doesn't believe in love (new)

Allie (pearlrose95) | 3724 comments Mod
*rolls eyes* and how would you know? yes, i think bush has been stupid and made a bunch of mistakes, and isn't the best president ever, but i do not think that he is as terrible as everyone made him out to be.

message 81: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 5135 comments Mod
I don't know, I corrected myself. I do not think he is horrible, but he has made loads of problems, I'm not saying he is the worst man alive, I'm just saying he is definitely not my favorite person in government.

message 82: by [deleted user] (new)

Bush equals bad news. (Not the baked beans dude. He's cool!) Bush has bad grammar, can't write his own speeches, can't put together a sentence that uses the correct grammar, can barely read his own speeches, and is just bad news. The war is what I hate most. The world's gonna run out of oil eventually so lets just stop the stupid thing!

Jenny (kutiegirl106) | 3104 comments Mod
Guys bush was doing a pretty good job until 9/11. Think of how hard that must have been for him the day it happened. He probably felt awful, how would you feel? Knowing that you couldn't protect your country? Your people? He was under so much pressure and he tried to do what he thought was best in order to protect us and then we go and make fun of him for saying stupid things? How grateful are we? We don't even know if he writes his own speeches. President's have a lot of people working for them. It's probably not that hard for them to make him look stupid.

Jenny:

Lets see how GREAT he's been doing his job:

Going into Iraq for the oil and ONLY the oil
Ruining the Economy
Doing hmm.. how much on the enviroment?
No Universal Health Care
Dealing with Katrina horribly
Not to mention he's given Republicans a bad name!

message 86: by Emma (new)

I do. LOL.

message 87: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (kutiegirl106) | 3104 comments Mod
Soooo....why do you care about what bush is doing to our country and how do you know what he's doing? I have no idea what's going on in Canada right now

message 88: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 5135 comments Mod
LOL. Me neither. How do I know? I watch CNN. I like politics.

message 89: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (kutiegirl106) | 3104 comments Mod
Oh, politics bug me because they let discrimination cloud there judgement soooo much. America especially. Like your skin color, gender, or your religion. Like it all really matters that much and we are all supposed to be "equal". Yet, america is soo blind. Its stupid.

message 90: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 5135 comments Mod
Very true. Not to mention their own interests.

message 91: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (kutiegirl106) | 3104 comments Mod
Exactly.

message 92: by [deleted user] (new)

I agree with Emma. Bush is a bozo. Obama can write his own speeches, and they are actually good. Yeah, he might have felt awful about 9/11. He probably did. But think of it this way. We get hit by a terrorist attack. A lot of people have died. Then we go to war on the people who attacked us. And that takes an army. And army's die. Countless lives have been lost over a lost cause. Yes, they attacked us. But that was in the past. Risking other people's lives is not going to solve anything! It's just going to make things worse. And why did we have to go to Iraq and tell them how to run their country, take away the leader, and try to give them a new one? Yes, no one liked the leader that was their. But over half of America doesn't like Bush! Does anyone fly in, make war on us, and take away Bush? No! So why do we have to do that to them?

message 93: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 5135 comments Mod
Uh, Helena, Hussein is beyond horrible.

message 94: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (kutiegirl106) | 3104 comments Mod
Helena, those people choose to risk there lives. They chose to join the army. Trust me, I have a freind who is in the marines.

message 95: by [deleted user] (new)

So is Bush in my opinion. The point is, what's going on in their country isn't our business. If they want help, they can ask. (If they did already I missed that memo.)

message 96: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 5135 comments Mod
Uh, Helena.........it's more complicated than that. And it wasn't about Iraq in general. It was about the oil.

message 97: by [deleted user] (new)

I respect the people who are in the army. It takes a lot of guts to go and fight for any war, let alone one that is doing no good. I am simply Anti-war.

message 98: by [deleted user] (new)

Isn't the oil in their country? Are we fighting to get it? Yes. And it's theirs, they can use it.

message 99: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 5135 comments Mod
Helena, it's just not that simple. Our economy is SCREWED UP.
