Interesting to read but bitter

Juleeanna I am about half way though this book. I'm glad that I'm though the most bitter description of a break up in the first 50-60 pages. I felt embarrassed for Katha as she was trying to find out how many women her ex slept with during their relationship. Katha describes a sense of uselessness as a middle aged woman and it surprises me as this is a book in the feminist genre. There is something about the book that makes it compelling to read. I do, however, find it a bit depressing but in a different way from the book titled "Death of Jim Loney." Loney was a sad character but I never felt depressed reading the book.
