John | 43 comments Amazon has two versions for the Kindle listed, one with audio/video, and one without. Does anyone know if it's worth getting the multimedia version "for a rich reading experience"? Is it just gimmicky or does it really add some value? Most importantly, will it still work as a regular book on the Kindle or is it trapped on the i{pod|pad|phone}?

John | 43 comments Thanks for the info Nicolas. I bought the "special edition" and as you said it does work on the Kindle as well as the iDevices.

As far as the audio/video content goes, all I can say is "meh". There isn't much there. So far just some images of houses and an old man on a beach (amusing), an audio file of TAMMY speaking, and an abstract video of the TM-31. More distractions than an enriched reading experience. But since it didn't cost me any more than the plain text version no big loss.

Stefan (stfn42) | 2 comments I didn't get the "special edition", more or less because my "1-click buy" finger was too quick for anything else. However, from what I see here, I'm not missing anything.

Phil Lee Having read the few comments on this book, I think I'll be skipping it completely. The Kindle version is a very expensive £13.98 in the UK, compared with the Millennium Trilogy books at £2.68 each.

Greenicicle | 14 comments Currently the Kindle edition is on sale for just 1€ (in Germany, at least). If you haven't got it yet, now would be the perfect time.

Having just finished it recently on the Kindle, I couldn't find any pictures in the entire book, footnote or otherwise. Is there perhaps some special way to access them on the Kindle?
