How you do you find out how many pages a Kindle book has--- When the Kindle site says 652KB--- what does that mean???

I normally look at the publishers website - sometimes they'll list word counts, or range that a certain book falls in (novella, novel etc)...but there doesn't seem to be a magic kB to page conversion that i've found yet

Okay---- I find the books you pay for state the page number, but the free ones don't see to have the page number.

Plus, how would you verify --- say-- a book from Project Gutenburg? It's all very confusing since the classic, older books---- well, there are so many forms, and reprints, and it's very confusing.

It can take some digging to find this info. Ants in the Big Onion actually has a 192 page trade paperback edition that isn't on GR-publisher's info
