I have downloaded my first e-book Girl with a Pearl Earring. My library's ebook (the one I am listening to) is an audio book and it is marked as Abridged. Publisher is Highbridge Company, 2001. Size:61866 kb. ISBN 9781598871302. Time: 4:18. If I decide to use this, is it acceptable?

Sorry it too so long to get back Bea- this one took a lot of research.

Audiobooks that are noted as being “abridged” may be used to meet the general 100+ page book requirement as long as they are at least 2 hours in length. Abridged audiobooks may NOT be used for tasks with defined longer page requirements as there are no direct print equivalents.

So the answer is a conditional yes- you may use an abridged audiobook for most tasks, but they cannot be used for task that require a specified number of pages like 5.9 The Long and Short of It (100-200, 400+) or 20.3 Sera's Happy, Happy, Happy (250+)
