one of my favorites. i've been meaning to read it again some time but I already have so many others I need to read.

after you're done reading it I recommend the movie. It stars Christopher Walken and from what I remember its pretty loyal to the novel.

It's very dark. In some ways it almost could have been a Bachman book really. I love it because its very moving and you can follow Johnny's thoughts and feelings all throughout the book. I agree that the film is good but then Cronenberg always is :). Keep in mind though that the book has a bit more depth.

One of my favorite King books. Great characters and a terrific, well-developed storyline. And the movie is terrific, too, with Christopher Walken and directed by David Cronenberg.
