I watched the movie first but I can say that I like the book better :) but I still bought the movie...to reference to it every once and a while..lol

I absolutely HATED the movie! The whole time I was like NO!!!!! SO MANY THINGS WRONG!!!!The book is definitely 1,000,000 x better :)
to be honest I watched the movie first then read the book. I was not angry at the movie at first. lol

I'm not to mad but not thrilled about it. They missed out of some better parts in the book that they could have included in the movie.
the varden looks like an cave, not that lavish from the book.

Yeah and they didn't even have Isidar Mithrim which is what I was looking forward to the most from Farthen Dur!!! I was so disappointed!That's why Eragon & Durza fighting was so messed up and didn't follow the book at all.

Yep Isidar Mithrim was the Star Sapphire that made up the ceiling in Tronjheim that separated the dragonhold from the inside of the mountain :)And they didn't even have it in the movie!!!!!! That's why Durza rode that smoke/dragon/demon thing when he was fighting Eragon. It was supposed to be Eragon and Durza fighting in Tronjheim and then Arya is riding Saphira and they break the Star Sapphire to distract Durza so Eragon can kill him.
Yeah it was a pretty important part that they left out...
i would not watch eldest if it was ever turned into a film. they ruined eragon as it is, would be sad to see them ruin another nice book.Anyways, as Eragon was a piece of crap, i dont think we'll have to worry about it in the near future, and not until they remake eragon.
Hahaha those are some mighty high expectations Ursula lolPeter Jackson as Director would be EPIC!!! And if they did make a remake, CP should have way more say in the script and the overall casting and shooting of the movie.
Like Suzanne Collins and The Hunger Games, for fans of that series. She wrote the screenplay and is working very closely with the director to make sure it follows the book extremely closely.
I wouldnt mind it not following the book exactly, since it is the movie version. HOWEVER, they cant just completely botch the movie, and ruin the storyline the way they did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. >_<

haha, same here! I started it, but I turned it off after aprox. 2 minutes. It makes me soo angry!
I HOPE SO!!!!!!!!! i havent seen eragon yet, cuz ii never get the time. can someone plz tell me how it goes? some ppl say it is really good. others say it sucked, compared to the book. im pretty sure it did, but it cant be helped, since eragon is such a long book, i dont see how they would have fit that all into one movie, ppl say that it wasnt such a big hit, so they dont have enough money to make a new movie. some say they left out katrina and orik. i dont see why they dont just bring katrina into the secong movvie, i mean she wasnt that importent in the first movie, so they could do without her. orik too.... and they should make one cuz they ended eragon the movie on a note of suspense, (i did see the ending) when they show shruiken. (is that how you spell it?) i hope they make one though...
OK. Eragon the movie is okay if it stands alone from the book. But if you read the book and watch the movie or vice versa then it is a horrible movie.
nope they won't, if they did they'd have to remake the first movie otherwise i'd never see it anddddd Roran was played by Heath Ledger and he died (which was a terrible loss) soo.. in conclusion its a definite no no

Although, Jeremy Irons was an excellent Brom...even though he didn't look how the character was described. He would be the only cast member I'd keep if I remade the movie.
Having old characters back on the second movie? I think they should leave them alone. or they're get to be compared.

In my opinion they would need a different director and producer than the the movie Eragon. I have seen many books made into movies and that was probably the worst. It would be nice if they tried to do it differently but I think that it would also confuse many non-readers. The plot was not clear in the first movie, hence it would be hard to follow the plot of Eldest.
then new eragon movie. like the way the revive batman and spiderman movies.
I'm just going to put a piece of my mind in here :PI watched Eragon the movie before I read the books, and I can honestly say I loved the movie. Watching it caused me to read the book and realise how horribly the movie was made, and exactly how many mistakes were in there.
I hope that Eldest will NEVER become a movie. Unless it stays 100% true to the books. But that would take too much time, and would mean that there needs to be a remake of Eragon which is highly unlikely to happen. And if they were going to make a sequel movie they would most likely have to finish the entire series, otherwise there would be no point, however that would take too long, producers would muck up, and it probably wouldn't go anywhere.

Well, maybe. but I think eragon should be redone first. maybe have peter jackson do it, haha, it's sorta like lord of the rings
By the way the first Eragon movie turned, as an avid fan I was disgusted and embarrassed. I really hope they don't embarrass the fans again by filming another failure.

at the end of eragon, galbatorix is about to ride out and kill eragon and saphira. (he wasn't trying to kill them in the books)i think it would be rather amusing to see them try
did you know christopher was actually there at the filming, and was trying to tell the director how to do everything and the director completely dismissed the entire idea of doing it correctly
