Carrie (missfryer) | 5 comments My mom wants to read Twilight because I keep raving about it, but I thought Twilight was kind of boring. Do you think she could just start with NEW MOON?

message 2: by [deleted user] (new)

Idk, because Edward Leaves, you have to actually get to know Edward in Twilight, because if she starts with New Moon, her fav. character would be Jacob because you know him better.

Carrie (missfryer) | 5 comments true! thank you!

message 6: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Woodard (sarahewoodardya) My best friend did and she loves Jacob and doesn't have much tolerance for Edward. Also Bella is kind of depressing and it is hard to compare herself to the "New Moon" Bella. I would reccomend starting with Twilight, because it would be easier to understand the characters.

message 7: by Kristin (new)

Kristin Well, I have a friend who read New Moon and she didn't like it very much. And when I read Twilight and was talking about it she wouldn't even read twilight. I think you have to start with the first book to really understand things.:p

message 8: by Susanne (new)

Susanne I'm afraid that so much of the overall story would be lost if Twilight wasn't read first. I can't imagine skipping it.

message 9: by Xiomara (new)

Xiomara | 1 comments I would never!! She probably would like Jacob better......the first book is so important in establishing the importance of Bella and Edward's intense and special relationship. She would just think Edward is a jerk who just broke her heart!! Hope she reads the first:-)

message 10: by Angel♥ (new)

Angel♥ (angellover512) let her read the first!!! she'll be clueless if she doesn't!!

message 11: by Ml (new)

Allison (abriea) NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! U MUST NOT START WITH NEW MOON!!!!!!!! START WITH TWILIGHT!!!!!! OTHER WISE THE SIERIES DOESNT WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

message 16: by The Book Posh (new)

The Book Posh Don't skip books. That's a No No!

message 17: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (aesquibel25) No never, for one it wouldn't make sense and for two, it wouldn't make sense, and for three, it wouldn't be as interesting without the background on the characters.

message 18: by Nightshade (new)

Nightshade NO! Definitely not! I actually thought that New Moon moved kinda slow without Edward to make it interesting (LOL), but the first part of Twilight is admittedly a bit slow, too. But you should still start with Twilight because everything about vampires and stuff is explained.

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

I finally got my mom to read twilight! I'm so proud of myself!!!

message 20: by Nightshade (new)

Nightshade kewl! my mom read it. but she didnt like it that much. she tends to find something wrong with every book that I tell her to read..except for Percy Jackson and the Olympians. hmm....LOL

message 28: by Hannah (new)

Hannah | 1 comments If I read a book that's in a series, I HAVE to read them in order. So i say that she should start with Twilight. And you should definetly buy Twilight. I'ts an amazing book and this way you dont have to rent the copy, you can read it whenever you like.

message 29: by Janepage (new)

Janepage | 13 comments Start with Twilight!

message 30: by Nightshade (new)

Nightshade You should DEFINITELY start with Twilight!

message 31: by Angel♥ (new)

Angel♥ (angellover512) START WITH TWILIGHT.

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

please start with twilight.

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

START WITH TWILIGHT. I just reread New Moon and it's been forever since I read twilight and it was a bit confusing because you don't see the relationship between bella and edward. so when you read how upset she is, you don't understand why

message 34: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (aesquibel25) Besides, you can't NOT know Edward, he's pivitol to the story and the reason why Bella is so broken up and desperate

message 35: by Nightshade (new)

Nightshade I agree!

message 36: by L (new)

L (radiofaery) | 2 comments You should definitely read Twilight first, it's a tad hard to tell what's going on unless you read the first book.

message 37: by Jamain (new)

Jamain (justcallmejj) | 2 comments Absolutely, in my school library they like have 8 copies of the Twilight book alone. Also, it is worth buying.

message 38: by Jamain (new)

Jamain (justcallmejj) | 2 comments ooopps wrong comment.

♥ Rachel♥ (i_got_a_jar_of_dirt) ditto 2 everything every1 said. except 4 the hinted part that u should like edward more than jacob. even after reading breaking dawn, i disagree.
